Very lovely location and tub was great to relax

The beds could’ve been a little nicer was very firm and no top on sheets like a light weight down comforter would’ve been nice especially for the price we paid and more comfortable pillows would’ve been better. There was no towels for the pool and the fire alarm battery had to be replaced the morning we were leaving and the fireplace was not working correctly it made a noise so we couldn’t use just would looked nice to use not needed for temperature

Loved our bungalow and the surprise of the hot air balloons in the morning! Location and staff great too.

Not the property, but the included breakfast 🤮it was extremely, extremely, disappointing.Basically, we received a selection of cold, dried out, breakfast breads from a cheap grocery breakfast bread tray and fruit cups. No butter or jam to try to enhance it. We had stayed at a different property the night before and the included breakfast there was freshly made and absolutely delicious.

Carter Estate is a beautiful and perfect resort for a peaceful and restful getaway. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Being an RN I was very pleased that they also offer discounts for First Responders and AAA members. I booked this vacation through Booking.com. The price would've been the same booking it through Carter Estate. We stayed Thursday - Saturday. Upon arrival we were greeted and received a complimentary bottle of South Coast’s Founder’s Reserve red wine. The room and bathroom were very spacious, and clean. It had a king Murphy bed but the mattress was not as comfortable it felt more like a sofa bed mattress. The fireplace was electric and the patio had a private sitting area. The bathroom had marble and granite bath with over-sized soaking tub and separate shower with no door. The room had a small, round dining table with two chairs, an armchair, mini refrigerator, Keurig, coffee pods, water bottles, and a flat screen TV. Our outdoor private patio overlooked the stunning vineyards of the Estate with beautiful views of Temecula Valley. To our surprise on Saturday morning, from our private patio we were able to see hot air balloons drifting over wine country. It was magical! The site is very quiet and serene. The pool area was nice and the water was warm. We were not able to visit the winery tasting room since it was not opened at 12 pm as the time noted on their door. We will have to visit again soon!

The Murphy Bed felt more like a sofa bed. The mattress was not comfortable. I wish it had a high quality bed mattress.

The rooms were really big, with an outdoor and indoor seating area- the perfect place to drink wine and bubbles that can be purchased on site for a very reasonable price. The location was very convenient for getting around Temecuala. The view from the room overlooking the vines and getting to watch the sunset was lovely, as was the ability to walk through the vines.

Even though we booked two rooms on the same reservation, we were split up into two separate buildings. The people we were next to came in late and because there was a shared entrance door that slammed shut, they woke us up multiple nights in a row. It would have been much better if they put us together/ had doors that didn't slam. The breakfast room service was lovely but they didn't pick up the trash after. They explained that they only clean rooms if you are staying more than two nights. but picking up left over breakfast trash should still happen everyday. We even put it outside the room to make pick up easier.

I liked the whole experience at this resort.

I didn't like that the access card did not work correctly. I did not like that I had to move rooms because they couldn't get the access cards to work correctly on the room they first game me. I also had to go and get another access card for the second room they gave me because it wasn't working. I also couldn't get in the pool area because the access card wasn't working.

Very nice location and beautiful view - the room was perfect. We appreciated the bottle of wine upon arrival. Swimming pool area was great too.

The restaurant being at their sister location they offered a shuttle but failed to send it back when we were done with our diner. The manager of the restaurant saved the situation and gave us a ride back which was nice - but sounds like an area of improvement for them. There were a couple of other operational glitches but nothing serious.

I like patio area overlooking the wineries. And my dog loves it! I enjoyed hanging out outdoors. I also appreciate the pet goodies and wine that comes with it for staying. It nice touch for welcoming valued guests. The staff are very friendly and the customer service it amazing especially the person working the front desk. We will definitely coming back.

Our first room, booked through booking.com, had a sofa bed (Murphy bed) which really surprised me, it wasn’t at all comfortable. In all my years of travel I have never been given a room with a sofa bed to sleep on. The cushions for the couch were stored in the closet, taking up space. We were able to pay a little extra for a larger room with a real bed for our remaining two nights. When I booked, I mistakenly thought I was getting a king bed. Our friends who booked through the hotel site received a bottle of wine at Check in, we didn’t. The sofa bed room had one comfortable chair to sit on, so one of us sat on the bed while the other sat on the cushioned chair. The room had three dining chairs, not made for relaxing on. The boxed continental breakfast was average at best.

The hotel is lovely and the environment was natural amidst the vineyard. It was quiet and relaxing. We had lots of privacy during our stay. The room was also spacious and lovely. We were allowed late check out and that was very helpful!

We were celebrating two birthdays during our stay. I contacted the establishment ahead of time to secure welcoming amenities upon arrival. I was told they provide no complimentary amenities for guests celebrating birthdays. I thought they could at least have left a birthday note in the room. Since this is such a high end hotel, this seems like a misstep. It was a failed opportunity to make guests feel special Also, our breakfast order had errors. Because it was a busy time, we did not get it rectified in time. That was disappointing.

The room was spacious and very clean with an absolutely beautiful view and direct access to the vineyards right out our French doors, the bathroom had a large walk in shower w/twin showers and also included a large jacuzzi tub. The continental breakfast had great selections to choose from and was delivered to your door every morning at your designated time.

These were the small issues we had encountered, the remote was stashed under the bed took a while to locate, the hot water was just barely hot enough to use the jacuzzi tub, and the nextdoor quest had an unauthorized group of people show up which means we lost our front door parking, otherwise all was well.
