I had a great stay at Western Holiday Lodge! I saw a few not great reviews for this property so was a little bit hesitant to book at first, however due to the great location in conjunction to the National Parks I still went ahead and booked it and I was so glad I did. The check in was smooth and I found out when i checked in that they were offering breakfast for free which was a lovely bonus. The room was clean, perhaps a little outdated but it was perfect for what I needed for the night.

Motel is a little bit outdated, but you can see that they are doing some upgrades. Would easily stay there again.

It is a nice location for Sequoia National Park. A short drive down the road offers a handful of different restaurants and shops. The pool was closed, but the river is just behind the hotel and probably better for a dip anyway. The room was spacious and clean. The AC unit seemed a bit old (and loud) but did the job well enough. The walls, or maybe just the ceiling, are a bit thin; we could hear folks upstairs walking about and turning their AC on and off. However, it wasn't a big deal, and I still slept fine.

The hotel is located close to the entry for the Sequoia National Park which made it an excellent location for us. The room is very good with comfortable bed and all necessities inside. The receptionists were friendly.

There is no opportunity to get breakfast on the premises.

They were able to accommodate a last minute booking and were very easy to work with. The room was clean. The property needs some updating as the bathroom window didn't lock, but overall we were very a happy with our stay there.

Very clean! Bed comfortable. Staff very attentive and polite. Great location to Sequoia National Park. Loved that sink area was separate from toilet area. And there was a small sink next to the coffee machine.

We loved the large pool and sun loungers. Breakfast was waffles and toast and fruit which was basic but ok. An hours drive up the Generals Highway to the Sherman Tree hiking area.

Walls too thin, in common with a lot of American motels.

Location wise it’s a further drive into the park but it is near 2 restaurants and few shops and market. The bathroom was clean, as was the rest of the room. The refrigerator was an excellent size. Blankets on the bed were very comfortable and kept us warm. Also the heater worked excellent on the cold nights.

I’m not sure if it was due to wind, but I was on the 2nd floor and there was a lot of creaking or tapping sounds throughout the time in the room. I assume the refrigerator was making noises when it would start up. The TV only got 8 channels max.

Hot tub not heated. Checkout procedures not explained so when I left before office opened, I didn't know what to do with key. $240 a night seems high for what I got granted yes, it was close to a California national park.

I stayed one night and the check in and out was easy, and parking was plentiful and right next to room. I was upgraded and the room was clean and had everything I needed with a nice view of the sunset.

It was the first motel on your way to the park and still in cell service radius, but was still a good distance from the entrance.
