This was our first B & B experience, and we LOVED it!!! The location was between the river and Main Street, so we walked everywhere. The young man who greeted us was SO kind and professional. The room was immaculate, which we SO appreciated! The bed was super comfy, and the room had everything we needed. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast of French toast with fruit, and bacon. The young lady who cooked sat down and visited with us, and the others who were eating at our time. All in all, it was just perfect, and I highly recommend it!!! Thank you, BBM, for a lovely stay!

Not one thing!

This was perfect for a night's stay in Ouray - in fact, we wished we could stay longer. The room may have been a little smaller than some of the places we'd stayed on our trip, but it was very comfortable and homely and was in a lovely timber house in a beautiful setting with a lovely breakfast room and lounge area. The host was very welcoming and made a delicious breakfast which was included in the price (unlike most places we stayed), making Black Bear Manor also very good value for money, as well as being one of the nicest places we stayed in during a 3-week trip. Wholly recommend it.

I stayed one night at Black Bear Manor, which is located just a short walk from the main street in Quray and near along the cliff surrounding the town. Happy Hour had just started when I arrived when I checked in to my large and clear bedroom and was greeted by the property hostess. There was a sign-up for breakfast the next day, and it was tasty and a tremendous way to start the day and my exploring the area. I will be back again! This time I hope that I have time to take advantage of the hot tub onsite!

Both breakfasts were wonderful—quiche one morning and peach stuffed French toast the next. Portions were overly generous! Comfortable bed, thick towels, comforter mad for a luxurious feel.

My only recommendation would be for our room specifically: remove one of the 3 dressers and put in a second reading chair.

I lucked into a king suite with a spa bathroom and private patio at the last moment. I'm on the backend of a seven week road trip, so luxury was not in my budget. I'm guessing my karma was good, as they had a one night stay available at a very reduced rate and on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend! Comfortable, relaxing, luxurious are all words I'd use to describe the Inn. Add that to the breathtaking beauty of the mountains, and the serenade of the nearby brook as the surroundings, and it was hard to leave. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Happy hour and breakfast were great, as was the coffee bar.

Very clean all around the facility. Fresh hot breakfast and very accommodating staff. Allowed us to leave our luggage after checkout while we explored. Overall very friendly welcoming with a great location.

Parking a motorcycle on the hill was a challenge. But not a negative thing just worth noting.

We loved our short stay at Black Bear Manor! The room and property were charming and the staff was super friendly & warm. Breakfast was utterly delicious. The location also cannot be beat for convenient walking access to town, as well as hiking. It is highly recommended and we will certainly stay again!

The property was clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast staff was extremely nice.

The walls were thin, and you could easily hear noise from the next door room and in the hall. In addition, I was told my the reservation person that there would be an electric fireplace in the room and there wasn’t one.

it was very comfortable, the common areas very spacious the observation desk was so comfy and special! in Ouray the mountains are fascinating. you can enjoy it up there. Extra fridge where we could store our perishable food. breakfast was very special. you order, they make it for you.

we had free coffee, tea for 24/7 at the main hall. small shopping area at the corner. Receptionist was very comforting, kind person. outside sitting area, and no smoking in the whole property!

The location of this property is ideal, near the river, but Connor & Laura are who made our stay excellent. They were both so welcoming, fun to talk to, & created community in this hotel. Happy hour and a delicious breakfast were bonuses!
