I loved a LOT about this hotel. The staff was fantastic. Everyone was in a great mood and helpful each time I needed something. The room was super comfortable, with fantastic bedding. The decor was a perfect mix of mid-west style but high quality in every way. It has the feel that it has been updated recently but care was taken to keep the midwest vibe, which I think is absolutely spot on. The hot tub was immaculately clean, spacious and overlooking the river, huge bonus. Taking a walk along this gorgeous river, right out back was divine. And the location just barely outside the city was a nice surprise. Just enough beyond the touristy area where you have peace, but a 1 minute drive and you can get anything you need.

I hate to ding them on anything as they were so kind, but it needs to be repeated: the breakfast is a 100% miss and needs a complete overhaul. It feels ok for children if you like your kids to have a lot of sugar (sugary cereals and premixed sweet oatmeal, pastries. There wasn't even an unsweetened oatmeal option) and barely passable for adults (store bought burritos that are just really bad), Folgers coffee (with many local coffee roasters this is a GIANT miss). Comparing to any other $300/night stay in any other hotel, this one was borderline insulting.

The room was bigger than most. Sitting area with fireplace, a balcony with sitting area, 2 king beds, fridge, and microwave. The beds were really comfortable, linen and pillows comfy, enough towels for the 4 of us. It was a pleasant surprise that a continental breakfast was included, booking.com didn't show. The distance to town was a 10 min walk, and the hotsprings 5min. It looked like it's been recently renovated with updated decor in the room and around the property, with a western flair. The hottub was nice and clean, closed a little early at 9:20p. The staff was nice.

The floor in the room could have been mopped a little more thoroughly.

Such a fun and cute place. The decor was Western throughout with great personality and attention to detail. Every room backs onto the roaring river for a built in white noise machine if you leave the windows open. The river trail is right out the back door. The beds are huge. The sink is separate from the bathroom so more then one person can be getting ready at a time. I didn't know this was a great feature until I had it. There is a microwave and a small fridge which was great. Oh and an electric fireplace for ambiance! We didn't use it in June but in the winter this would be fabulous. Such a big room had a private cabin feel to it with the balcony it was amazing.

No tub in the room which didn't bother us three adults but if you need to bathe children there is no tub. However, the hot springs pool in town is phenomenal so maybe the kiddos won't need a bath while you're visiting Ouray.

We liked everything about the property! Clean, spacious, right near the river, far enough out of town to have peace and quiet, great decor and more! Room was very large and had everything you could possibly need, including a private balcony by the river. Beds were comfy, had plenty of outlets and areas for your luggage etc. Can’t wish for anything more!

Nothing we didn’t like. Maybe just maybe closer to town, but everyone in Ouray is relaying in a car anyway so not a problem.

Seriously one of the best little places we have stayed. Super clean, nice spacious room, cute western decor. The staff was so kind and helpful. We didn't even realize that breakfast was included but was a nice continental style breakfast in the morning. Met the best people. We loved the balcony on the river and enjoyed direct access to the 2 mile river walk loop. It is a little outside of town but a super short drive to main streets. We enjoyed several meals downtown but also stumbled on a great little restaurant on our river walk that we walked to for dinner. Had no expectations but was a wonderful meal and love a walkable option. Will stay here again on our next time in Ouray.

Nothing at all.

Very clean rooms, great small town hotel feel, cool western decor. The King beds were comfortable for the family. The double king room was a good size for my family of four. The chipmunks are great, my young daughter loved watching them. Loved the sound of the flowing river off the back porch/balcony. It was very soothing.

The Continental breakfast was not the greatest, it was decent. Also not listed on their site, so somewhat unexpected that makes it more positive.

The family-owned Hot Springs Inn exceeded our expectations, and we did not want to leave! We seriously contemplated cancelling our next destination to stay longer. Our room was located on the north end building and it was heavenly sleeping with the window open and listening to the sound of the rushing river. The beds were extremely comfy and staff helpful. We enjoyed the hot tub each evening which was much-needed after hiking. The river trail into town was perfect and you pop out at a huge park beside the public pool/baths. One night there was a free concert in the park and it was magical watching the moon rise above the mountains while enjoying music and people-watching. The only thing lacking at the inn is that they could have additional towel racks in the bathroom and some sort of stand or shelf inside the shower to put shampoo etc. We hope one day to return to this lovely town and inn.

Would love for the hot tub cover to block the parking area instead of the river, but don't really think that can change.

The location was within walking distance to the pool, restaurants and town. The room was cozy and backed up to the river. We were able to enjoy the river from the balcony during the day and sleep with the sound of rushing water at night.

The breakfast could have been a bit better. It was a continental breakfast with options like cereal, small bagels and hard boiled eggs. We opted to eat in a restaurant, which never cost less than $50. So if you’re not a big breakfast person the inn is okay, but for breakfast people you may have to spend extra money.

Location, tubs, beautiful landscaping! This was a last-minute booking and we were grateful for it. On-site vehicle rentals were a convenient added bonus. While they initially refused, restaurant staff eventually allowed me to take a breakfast-to-go container up to my husband, who is disabled after a stroke. (Our room was on the second floor, and those stairs were rough for him.) The hotel may wish to consider such issues more proactively and offer alternatives or accommodations to guests in advance.

Overpriced drinks at Tiki bar & lots of noise in the morning (repairs/maintenance) while trying to relax at the pools. Consider last point above.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had to check out at 3am and they let us pick up breakfast the night before. The view from our deck was nice and we would have enjoyed the river walk if we had been able to stay longer.

The water pressure was weak (maybe not their fault). The hot water was just barely warm enough for a shower. That was disappointing after a week of camping. Parking spaces are cramped and they allowed people to park trailers in the most convenient spaces.
