Friendliness of staff, room was spotless clean, The lobby had a real fireplace and you could make smores in an outside fire. Nothing fancy, just honest hospitality, comfort, and thorough cleanliness. Ouray is a gem. And the Million Dollar Highway to Silverton is spectacular. Don't miss it. The San Juan mountains are magnificent.

We really lucked out finding Timber Ridge Lodge. Not many places had availability when we wanted to visit but lucked out getting the last room. Check in and out was so easy but one of the best parts of our stay was the owners. So friendly, helpful and the whole lodge was exceptional. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, the whole lodge was so comfortable with a coffe and hot chocolate bar, snacks and the fire pit with complimentary s’mores packs made for a great stay. We won’t stay anywhere else when we come back to visit which will hopefully be soon. Thank you for a great vacation and making it just that much better!

Perfect location with a brief walk along the creek into downtown. The owner Julie gave us first time visitors great recommendations for activities in and around Ouray. We drove the million dollar highway, visited Orvis hot springs and went to Telluride during our short visit. The lodge offered nightly s’mores around a fire (complete with complimentary blankets if needed) and a restaurant with an amazing breakfast buffet. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Our 4th trip to Ouray. Fist time at this hotel and it felt like home. Very comfortable beds, exceptional clean room, facility and grounds.Hosts, Brian and Julie, were friendly and helpful. Smores at the fireplace looking at mountains was a nice touch. Great strong coffee. Very close to town. Even though it was located on side of highway to town, we didn't notice the noise at all. Will definitely stay here again! Very convenient next door's restaurant has excellent breakfast buffet with REAL eggs, bacon, sausages, biscuits, the works.

Nothing

The room is vertical comfortable, with a hot shower and a comfy bed. It was freezing outside (15’) and even though we didn’t feel anything, heater was right on spot too. We were very lucky to have an entire night full of snow and the early morning next day was magical, walking around the property which has access to trails that follow the creek behind the hotel. Also a special thank you for JO for her warm welcome and attention, she made a difference when offering some tips of what to do. She also had some “S’mores” ready for the night to be cooked at the Fire Pit.

Add a snack or sweet for the Free Coffee available, which was good to have too.

The woman who checked us in was very informative and made some great recommendations. Loved the S'mores and the fire pit too. Met some very interesting people around the fire. The beds were comfortable.

Compared to the other places we stayed, the rate was higher, with less space and less amenities (breakfast, etc.). I'm sure that's due to the limited amount of competition in a remote area. Getting luggage to the top floor would have been very difficult for us, fortunately we were on the ground floor.

The place has been nicely updated, and is very comfortable. There is a nice fire pit with ample seating in the back and a nice breakfast buffet at a cafe right out back as well. Plus you get to hear the river from the rooms, and the location is just off the river path to town (a very doable walk). The only downside for us was that my 85 year old mother was a bit challenged by the steps to the top floor, but she managed. We enjoyed our stay.

No breakfast included. Good thing we were on back side of the lodge. Front side faces busy main road. Using the toilet is cramped as it is right next to the wall. Easy access to hot springs pool, downtown Ouray. Spent one day at Telluride Jazz Festival.

Parking is in front of the lodge, so if you are backing out, need to keep eye on traffic coming on the main road as it is typically very busy.

Perfection in an amazing rustic town. The lodge was ultra clean and updated. Great bed and pillowes. Amazing views. We cooked steaks in their clean gas grill. We had a friendly bonfire with other guests and cooked s’mores provider by the lodge. The perimeter trail was so close to our location. Joe, our host was always there when we needed her. This was one of our favs In Colorado!

I have always loved Ouray! It is gorgeous! This lodge was BY FAR the cleanest I have ever seen. It isn't fancy or roomy at all, but the cleanliness makes up for that. The toiletries they have in the rooms are of great quality! The only things that would have made it a 10+ is that there needs to be a couple of extra towels in the room, the room coffee was awful (but the lobby coffee was good). Also the price was pretty steep. I think the value of the room, a king room for 2 people was more like $125-$130 after taxes instead of $185 after taxes.
