The hotel is conveniently located; it's about an hour away from NYC, and there are restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hallways seem a bit dated/worn (peeling wallpaper, scuffed walls, etc.), but the rooms themselves are more modern looking; the bathrooms appear to have been upgraded fairly recently, for instance. Our room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel staff seemed friendly and competent. The hotel appeared to be pretty popular during our stay; there were always guests in the spacious lobby area.

Although the entire hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke, so either someone was disregarding the rules or old smoke has permeated the hallways. (There was an air purifier in our room, though, so our room smelled fine.)

The place us beautiful/ staff excellent. My husband went out for the evening and discovered all kinds of great restaurants right in same neighborhood and lots of young(for the most)people enjoying the beautiful evening.

Coffee in such an excellent place & most of the pastries could use an improvement- not bad...but certainly not exceptional, which, in such a beautiful hotel, would be natural to expect above average cafe' choices...the bagel breakfast sandwiches looked pretty good...but -as said-coffee really should have been exceptional,I am sure such a fine place could afford better coffee....& the 'crumble muffins' were named perfectly...but not very enjoyable eating

Room was comfortable and clean. I stayed the night to meet a friend for dinner. The location was easy to get to, and a short drive/walk to lots of restaurants and shops. There was onside parking and we had a minor issue getting out of the garage but another guest helped out. It was a nice affordable option for what I needed, and a short ride to the Amtrak station.

The coffee was not very strong in the morning, but we went to a great cafe nearby, so even through my first cup was "hen", it gave me the opportunity to explore and find Lorca Coffee Bar.

This hotel common area, rooms and parking garage were clean. Rooms and beds were comfortable, staff was helpful. We could walk to restaurants, bars and the mall. Large lobby with a bar. Small store to buy breakfast/snack foods and free coffee in the morning. I think it was a good value for the rate we paid. We would recommend this hotel.

They are still using individual tubes of shampoo, conditioner, body wash. When other hotels are moving toward emvironmentally friendly large bottles attached to the shower wall.

Food options were above average for sure. The staff was friendly and responsive. The amenities were wonderful and the hotel is very good at accommodating a high volume of varying needs. The neighborhood is relatively corporate but safe and walkable, though Stamford itself is an intense mix of wonderful business and luxury mixed with some very rough neighborhoods. While this is not about the hotel, traveller’s should consider carefully how much they need to leave the hotel and where they want to go. Traffic in Stamford was significant and I95 is at at your doorstep which brings both convenient access and traffic. On the whole I’d stay at this hotel again in a second, but I am not sure I’ll return to the city itself. If I do, the Stamford Hotel was perfect for me and my family! Highly recommend. Absolutely conducive to people with children!!

Staff were amazing, the price was good and bed was comfortable.

There is no complimentary water and no vending machine on my floor. Had to go down to the lobby to buy a bottle.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was complimentary coffee in reception every morning plus a coffee machine in the room. Well situated to move around Stamford by car and within walking distance of the mall. They also gifted you a cereal bar and bottle of water. There was a comfortable chair as well as a desk which was nice. I would go back to this hotel because it was clean and convenient.

The parking seemed expensive. I think if you are staying at the hotel overnight, they should give you a discounted rate. I stayed here the first night of my trip as well as the last night. The first night I had just come off an international flight and I was exhausted. I was given a room with a connecting door, that didn’t lock and asked to be moved. The staff were really nice about it. But the second room didn’t have a cereal bar and water and coffee machine didn’t work. The team needs to be more on top of the maintenance of the rooms.

No one wants to pay $20 per day to park at any hotel Area is devoid of coffee shops or markets, but we brought oatmeal packets and there is a microwave :) And free coffee 9 floors down ;) Parking garage is tight spaces and walk down to hotel is sketchy (we didn’t use garage elevator)

Room was nice and clean. Location is perfect.

Hotel is outdated. Bathrooms need attention. It’s clean but it does need attention. My room was fully pre-paid and during the check out I asked for the receipt to make sure there is a zero balance and I do not owe anything. Front desk told me that they are unable to print one. Also, in about two hours charge from the hotel appeared on my card in full amount of the room cost even so it was pre -paid and original payment has already cleared. When I called phone number associated with the charge it belongs to Stamford Ford dealership. However charge description said that it’s a hotel. I called to the hotel to question the charge and was told that manager will call me back - never did. Will have to dispute the charge if Stamford hotel does not take care of it.

The wings from the hotel restaurant were surprisingly good! Parking is easy and the price is fair. Staff were kind. We were in town for a convention and the people working at the hotel were very welcoming of all of us weirdos.

The breakfast staff were a bit uneven; one day we had a really nice guy who took our breakfast voucher with no problem and seemed to be in a really good mood, while another day we had someone who didn't adhere to any kind of line and tried to charge us for breakfast despite having taken our vouchers just a moment ago. His mind was somewhere else. We've all been there.
