Quaint hotel that was built in 1880, so don't expect a Hilton. It was exactly what my new wife and I expected and wanted.

We were exhausted from the wedding and it was raining so a little tv time was in store, in our room the tv was older and had burn spots in the screen making it a bit difficult to watch tv. TV IKR!

Breakfast had both warm and cold selections and a nice variety of food to choose from. The breakfast was served in a nice location by the pool so it was a great way to start our days. They also had coffee 24 hours a day which was a nice surprise. The refrigerator in our room was much appreciated and used. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable.

It would have been nice to have blackout shades in our room but on the other hand the sun got us up and going each day...not always easy to do in Key West after a night out. I would have liked if they would have changed the hot entree at breakfast since after 4 days I got tired of eating the same eggs and sausage...not a big deal since they had plenty of other things to choose from.

Housekeeping was stellar! VERY. Clean. I was alone and did not need daily service, but they were there and humpin it. Location was nice, away from duval, but close to grocery, other restaurants off the main. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Bird cage was very nice for me, as was missing my lil 🦜 at home. Pool and pool area immaculate! Front desk guys great, friendly and informative.

Some flux in shower water temps…but I’m pretty flexible, was not major issue. Barman was super friendly and attentive, but a bit robust (which is his nature surely) and his voice carried to room and pool area when on phone and with co-workers.

The staff is fabulous, the property is unique and beautiful. It is an older property so just keep that in mind. It is well maintained, however. It's a great neighborhood. I liked that it was in a more residential area but I could still easily walk to anywhere. If I was in a hurry or didn't want to walk, the Ubers are plentiful.

I felt the continental breakfast was pretty bad. However, it was quite popular with other guests so it may just be a personal taste kind of thing. It's very easy to walk to a cafe for coffee and breakfast.

The decorations for the winter holidays were fantastic. The amount of sitting areas and chairs everywhere were amazing and felt very welcoming. The pool looked nice and the attic suite was bigger than expected. Also enjoyed having access to full size fridge and stove top, microwave etc. Location was also great. Far enough away from Duval that traffic wasn't crazy but close enough that you could walk to it.

No elevator meant we have to lug everything upstairs. Lack of dedicated parking was more than annoying but we were lucky and got one of the 4 spots in the back. It was a long walk with our luggage to our room through but we did see other guests bringing them in down the sidewalk. No idea how far they had to park. The pool while looking nice wasn't heated and in Dec when we visited it was 60F at night air temp and the water was freezing.

The place was clean and very well maintained, staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn't a bad walk to town if you don't mind walking about 10 blocks.

Only four parking spots on-site the rest were on street parking. Be careful not to park in a residential spot which are clearly marked by big white "resident only" decals on the street. The pool was not heated and very cold even on a nice day. They have a pool bar but the drinks are top dollar. You're better off buying your own alcohol. Drinks are actually cheaper in town.

Quaint BnB sort of decor very nice atmosphere with very friendly staff and an ideal location within walking distance to old town and captain Tony's bar. Bed was very comfortable and we did sleep well. The rooms are clean but small as the structure is a converted house built in late 1800's. So there are some creaks in the stairs and you can hear occupants walking around above so if your neighbors are considerate it won't be a bother. Our room had an ice machine outside the door that ran all night but if you like ice, that's convenient. Had good drinks at the pool bar and the pool was full and the water great and refreshing after a couple minutes.

We thought the Palms was a good place to stay but overall a bit pricey for the cuteness and all else considered. Look for deals...

Good location to walk downtown friendly helpful staff,Pool was nice.

Bathroom floor was sinking made you feel like walking down hill.The shower is very small.The room #101 has 4 windows and both doors have glass this lets in way to much light at night from outdoor lighting.The mini blinds are not sufficient to block out light.Breakfast disappointing, eggs and sausage were cold also pastries and bread limited selection.This is a tropical island the only fruit they offered was cantaloupe every morning.

We were very impressed with the staff at The Palms Hotel, especially the cleaning staff. Very diligent attention to every detail. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We thought the mattress was as good as our high quality mattress at home! Every request we made was handled immediately. I would have enjoyed a few more options offered for the included Continental breakfast. This is not meant as a complaint. The breakfast offered was fresh every day, but after 4 days, a few new choices would have been nice. Of course, we could have gone out for breakfast!😉 Location worked for us! Highly recommend!

Good location, and we appreciated being able to snag a parking spot behind the hotel right near our room. We stayed in the Ash Cottage which was quiet, comfortable, very clean, and plenty of room for 3 people. The continental breakfast by the pool each day was a nice bonus and the afternoon happy hour and music by the pool was a fun way to wind down. This is a quaint old hotel within a reasonable walking distance of the "hot spots" on the island as well as good restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. Keep in mind it is an old historic hotel and therefore has quirks but that adds to the charm!

Could have used some hangers in our closet and a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels on.
