The Blue House was terrific. It's location is a bit unique since it is in a residential area with no other visible hotels/overnight accommodations. It's a bit more like a B& B hotel, without the breakfast. The gentleman who greeted us was very pleasant and quick to show us around and to our room with appropriate instructions. The room we were given is small but great for a single person or couple. There are nice little touches inside from decor to soda/water/beer in the art deco style fridge (for reasonable purchase prices) and toothbrush/paste wrapped in the bathroom in case you happen to overlook bringing some. While the location is off of the JFK Causeway and not along Collins Avenue, etc. in downtown Miami Beach it is a little off the beaten path but still a very quick ride (assuming traffic isn't bad) into the heart of Miami Beach. There are also restaurants within walking distance and/or a quick drive. The overnight price was also quite reasonable by Miami Beach standards. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

There was some police activity in the immediate neighborhood when we drove back after a concert in the evening (around 10:30 pm). It is unclear why but we heard nothing after returning to our room. The place itself and our room were just fine otherwise.

The area is fabulous! Alot to do in North Miami. The manager was wonderful. I accidentally double booked a room there and at Sarasota. He helped me get rid of the room there and rebook it on the day i needed without a fee or hassle. Very rare in today's world.

I liked it all

The location is ok, nearby the beaches. Good parking spots in the fron of the accomodation we had.

The total price was different than presented durring the booking (there was an extra tax to be paid after arrival apart from money taken from my credit card). While I made reserwation in Eurpean Union, in my opinion the total price with tax shuld be presented and charged full from the very begining. Even if this information is shown somwhere deeper in terms and conditions of the accomodation, you may think the acomodation is cheaper while. Just to add, durring my travel between Florida and News Orleans it happend only once in this place.

We got "the penthouse" so whole second floor was ours, including huge balcony! We really liked the size of the room, it was very spacious. Hanging out on the terrace, watching stars and planes (a lot of them to watch, but they were high enough, so it wasn't laud). The area was very calm, safe and quiet. Great place to stay!

There was only bathtub (big, but a little out-dated jacuzzi style, but without working jacuzzi itself) without option to hang the shower head on the wall. That was not a big deal, but may be to some people :) Also, be careful, the balcony is very slippery after the rain!

I got my own personal entrance, and bathroom. There was a convenience store not even a two minute walk from the house.

Owner forgot to give me wifi password.

Quiet neighborhood Close to restaurants Not far from the beach Loved the available beverages in the fridge at a reasonable price. I actually drank a couple things.

We could hear the people in the unit connected to ours. We heard entire conversations and were worried they could hear us in the bathroom! They should really put solid/soundproof doors in the units to minimize sound transmission.

A nice, cozy spot to stay. Comfortable beds, a great staff, and a secure area.

No real complaints.

I couldn't make coffee, the machine didn't work

My sister and I only stayed for one night, but we were impressed by our host's friendliness, the house's overall aesthetic and cleanliness, and LOVED how safe the location felt.

We did not like that we could not choose our own room, but we understood as most places assign your room. We did not expect to have to pay for water. We wished we could have simply filled our water bottles up somehow, but we did not ask if this was a possbility.
