I was traveling due to a loss in the family. After leaving my home around 130 am and driving all night I was eager to find a room and check in, I arrived in Duluth around 10 am and was charged a 35 dollar early check in rate and was not at all pleased with this amount. I had no choice but to pay the early check in charge. I will definitely think twice should I rent a room again. I will be back multiple times with having to handle affairs with my mother passing and more than likely will not stay at this location again.

Everything was ok. I don't give bad ratings unless things are really bad. But had no issues with the hotel. The house keeping staff. I believe she was a supervisor will definitely make you rethink this location.

The house keeper. She was very rude every single one of the 6 days. I only received service 1 out of 6 days ( and tipped on that day btw) . Booked for 4 people( 2 kids, 2 adults) yelled at me everyday for wanting more than 2 towels. I cleaned my own rooms even at check out. Told me I wasn't allowed to have a towel because I was checking out the hotel. She would be a reason I don't return tbh. Pool was inoperable for 4 of 6 days but it's OK in the long run

we love our room. it was very nice. the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. we will definitely stay here again. plus the location was around so many restaurants and shopping outlets.

when we got here, the room we originally checked in smelled like smoke. it was so bad we had to come back down and tell the guy at the check-in desk how bad it was. he immediately changed our room. another thing I didn't like is they had breakfast, but there weren't many options, but overall, it still was a nice stay

The staff was amazing from the front desk (Janak, James & Randy) to the maintenance crew (Julio & Terry) and even my maid Selena on the 5th floor was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I even met the owner Mena and it was quite pleasant to meet her and everyone there. I will definitely recommend. After just two months there, I felt like part of a family when I left. That was much appreciated. They even already welcomed me back anytime and will definitely keep Wingate at the top of my list. -Katrina ♥️

An exceptional stay from start to finish! Randy at the front desk truly went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. His warm welcome and attention to detail set the tone for a fantastic stay. The hotel itself was impeccable - clean, comfortable rooms, and top-notch amenities. The location was perfect, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I can't recommend this hotel enough, thanks to Randy and the team for making our stay truly special.

Breakfast was great for it to be free. I loved the coffee, nice and hot! Staff was great! friendly and helpful. Housekeeper on my floor was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed.

The rooms walls are thin so everything is heard easily. Lots of noise from neighboring rooms but that isn't something that could be fixed so all in all. It's okay

I was in room 415. It is necessary to change the mattress, it is expired, the noise is horrible. And you wake up with pain throughout your body. The ice machine beeps. all night and it could be heard in my room which was near the elevator. The waitresses and the maintenance man talk from early hours in the hallways. If these errors were changed the hotel would be more than fantastic.

Great Location off of Interstate

After a Long Day of Officiating a High Level Basketball Tournament, sweaty and tired I went to turn on shower and had little to no water pressure and was unable to shower, so i had to wash off at the sink for about 20mins! Went straight to sleep cause I had a 0800 Tip-off Saturday morning, forgot to call and let front desk know cause I was focused on refereeing tournament, got back to room after midnight and remembered no 🤬water pressure in shower!! Rm 403

It was very comfy and cheap for two nights. The room was nice.

Our GPS did not lead us to the hotel, we got lost and that’s how we found it. The elevators made scary sounds and kept feeling like it was dropping; I was worried that it would break at any moment. When I moved the bed to do my normal check for bed bugs, I found what looked like urine and blood behind it on the floor (room 304). Also, the room constantly smelled like bleach.

Best location in Duluth, you are close to EVERYTHING. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Price was perfect if you are on a budget. Did I mention, you are close to everything on Pleasent Hill, etc.

The breakfast was not that great. Yes, they have yougurt and bread for toast, coffee and juice.
