Wow! This hotel is a gem. Converted cotton mill with loads of history that is really well converted to a comfortable stay with a good atmosphere. The view across the river is outstanding and it is in easy walk of all the sights and restaurants in excellent Madison. The staff were so helpful and courteous and worked hard to make sure we had a memorable stay.

The hotels only achilles heel is the breakfast which is served up like a staff canteen in a grand building. I would rather pay extra for table service and a chef. Fairfield can do better than this, surely. Car park can be full quickly but there is extra space around the back which is a bit more convenient to access.

This was our second stay at this beautiful one of a kind historic hotel. Our room was spacious with floor to ceiling windows and beautiful views of the river & bridge. The workout room was impressive with numerous machines & free weights. The free breakfast was more than adequate and well maintained. All interactions with staff were professional and pleasant.

The current environmentally friendly trend of using refillable bottles for soaps & shampoos. I don’t really trust sharing the bottles with previous guests as they can be opened & tampered with. Ours was also completely out of body wash. Luckily there was a bar soap at the sink.

The breakfast was amazing everyday. Always full, hot and tasty. The staff was always friendly; smiling and going the extra step to lend a hand. Rooms are huge and beautiful, keeping the flavor of the old cotton mill that the building was before. There was a well kept fitness room with a view of the river, making a workout quite relaxing. The front porch was perfect for outdoor cocktails and meeting new people who were also out front relaxing. Cool bar area with good bartenders.

Only two items for improvement...we stayed a week and housekeeping had to be chased down for toilet paper, fresh towels and trash removal. (although they were always friendly and helpful when we flagged them down) We never got a full room cleaning in 7 days. The laundry is FREE! but there is only one small washer and one small dryer for the entire hotel. I believe that most guests would be happy to pay a little to have more availability.

We loved the location, the history, the very friendly check in (thank you Aaron), ...it is a beautiful and spotless hotel inside and out. Check in and check out was efficient and courteous. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, quiet and temperature was easy to adjust. We had a double,queen bed, facing the river room on the 4th floor. We did not partake of the free breakfast but the dining area looked very nice.

One suggestion...the shower was awesome except the floor was slippery...you may want to provide 🚿 mat so no one falls and gets hurt.

The hotel was beautiful & right on the river in Madison. It’s lovely, modern, and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my room where I could stream what I wanted on the tvs! I kept admiring the architecture in the room and building. A lot has been preserved historically.

Possibly have information in the room on the amenities. Such as bar, market, vending machines, fitness, etc. I was looking in the room, but found the info on the website after some searching

Excellent location by the river for evening walks and also to wander the town. Breakfast, although a buffet had a good selection of foods. Being a weeknight, the hotel wasn't crowded, so no big rush for the breakfast.

We found the beds quite uncomfortable, mattress seemed to sag in the middle and they just felt like old mattresses.

We were celebrating our 45th Anniversary and your staff couldn't have been nicer...they gave us a special bag of munchies, info about the town and coupons for 2 drinks at the bar. Always love coming to this special historic hotel in Madison! Thanks for taking such good care of us!

Almost everything. The lobby and our room were lovely!

The platform beds weren't very comfortable. We ran out of tissues, there were only 4 in the box and we nearly ran out of toilet paper. While I appreciate not replacing every roll or box each day, would have liked to have had an extra roll and box on the shelf under the sink.

Peaceful, Relaxing, Tall Ceilings giving a sense of calmness, felt like we were a very important couple. / Staff we’re kind, considerate and comfortable to have conversations with. / our Room was the same and it overlooked the Ohio River and the bridge to Kentucky/ A wonderful lodging room and a healthy good breakfast offering.

There was a big problem, we could not stay longer. I wished there was a museum on the property about the Eagle Cotton Mill.

The location was awesome for the Madison Ribberfest. The bar and bar staff were exceptional!

Wish there would have been a plug in on both sides of the bed.
