The breakfast was good. The room was very clean. The hotel property was also very clean. The cleaning staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The front desk staff were not friendly. They did their job but I felt like we were bothering them when we checked in and when we turned our keys in at the end of our stay. Also, the room was clean but the furniture needs updating. We stayed in a 2 room suite. The bedroom furniture was okay but the living room area was extremely outdated. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sit on.

Hotel staff was accommodating and friendly.

A few months before our vacation, I had to move our dates, checking-in on Friday one week later and unfortunately, booking.com changed it to a Thursday check-in. We ended up paying for an extra night that we did not need. Hotel staff was able to book us in their last available room, but were unable to credit us for the extra night. They told us that would need to be done through booking.com. We tried to call, but after being on hold for 30 min, the system disconnected. If someone can pls contact me, that would be great!

Everyone that we spoke with was very kind and helpful, always smiling and friendly. The hotel itself is very nice with a homey atmosphere. Comfortable beds and fresh linens. Room was spotless cleaned by Susie.

We were in the smallest room (I’m assuming because we used Booking) at the end of a really long hallway. Interspersed along the wall were very strong floral plug-in air fresheners, a very offensive odor. The room however was fine with no odor. I would suggest getting rid of the air fresheners.

Very comfortable!

They did not except my service dog. They decided upon themselves it was an emotional dog and would be a charge. First hotel that did that in all my travels. Not sure they understand the law and what it means to travel with a service dog and the questions you should ask or not ask or even see the dog! I did not want to cause a problem so I let it go this time but was not happy about it. They made the charge without my knowledge as well.

We were a group of 8. We were able to eat together at breakfast and the staff told us about the meeting room in the basement where we were able to snack and play cards both nights until around midnight without disturbing anyone. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.

One of our group sleeps in a recliner for several medical reasons and so she was quite uncomfortable and unable to sleep. I didn't use the pool but noticed it was quite cloudy. One set of our group thought they booked directly with VanBuren and were charged outrageous Tax Recovery fees, over $70 a night. The desk clerk said she had booked through Expedia and there was nothing they could or would do. No where in her paperwork was there anything to back up that claim.

Breakfast was good. The room was very spacious. Most notable were the colonial furnishings in the room all matched from the framed mirrors to the luggage racks. The bed was very comfortable and the nice country breeze coming in the window was a bonus!

The front desk clerk checking us in was distracted with someone in the side office, so while it was an efficient check-in, the feeling of being a priority was lost. It just could have been better.

We always need a wheelchair accessible room. For once, somebody got this right. Bathroom was perfect, roll in shower, accessible door, width and sink was accessible for a wheelchair. It was accessible..AND compliant. Well done

Minus point for the door into the room. Easy to get in, but very hard to get out, if you're in a wheelchair. Door had a hydraulic assist, to slowly close. Needs a pushbutton Door to open and close automatically. It can be done, we've seen it elsewhere.

Room was very clean, warm breakfast was tasty (the biscuits tasted homemade) and all the guests we talked to were very friendly. While we did not use it, there was always someone using the pool.

The only negative was toilet paper and tissues were very thin...if your hand had any moisture on it, the tissue almost "melted" like cotton candy.
