The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and respectful. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Grinnell, Iowa. I will go to this hotel the next time we are visiting family in Grinnell, Iowa. Unfortunately, we were there for a funeral, but we enjoyed the room and staff.

We had an issue with a table lamp but I told the front desk when we left and that the fan in the bathroom did not work and they were going to let maintenance know.

Country Inn & Suites is a terrific value. I had a very pleasant stay. My room was clean, well-appointed, and totally comfortable. The facilities were in excellent condition. It looked like there had been some redecorating and updating since I stayed there about 4 years ago. I think this is the best option of the hotels in Grinnell out by I-80. I had to stay in another one and it wasn't a good experience.

The breakfast was good - lots of options. Location near I80 was good. We really enjoyed the fire pit - what a nice surprise! And I really enjoyed the good decaf coffee and delicious cookie.

The desk chair was hard and uncomfortable. We were grateful for a second chair, but wondered why there was no light near it. We also wonder why there are no towel bars in the bathroom.

The staff went out of their way to help me get a good nights rest by offering a variety of pillows to help with my neck healing from a recent procedure. It made all the difference to me. Just nice friendly people here in general. we travel here yearly to see family and this place is where we try to stay.

The location and value were good. The staff was great. Cookies were a nice touch. It was good that they had a washer and dryer.

The washer/dryer room was the gate to hell! No ventilation and I don't think the lint trap had been cleaned in a long while. That said, it was great they have it, I just need a sauna! LOL! The serious issue was the breakfast. It was worst we have had in a good hotel in our travels. Eggs and sausage were burnt to the pan. Just bad. Bad for the Choice hotel brand. It is criminal that the insurance co. won't pay for the hail damage.

The staff and very pleasant and cordial. Any item needed they would provide. They go overboard in making your stay comfortable and you happy. While the rooms may be older they are exceptionally clean. The lines are soft and cuddly, the mattress provides an excellent night’s rest and you may want to take it home an is so comfortable. Each morning the shower was steamy hot with excellent pressure. We were there for five days for our grandson's.graduation it was the perfect spot. Nice outdoor chairs and a well appointed indoor lounging room. I would most stay here again

Could be sproced up in the room. Area. A extra lamp for the night stand sufficient space to to hand towels, gowns, pj's.

The staff makes this place the best. The rooms are getting a little dated, but very clean. The beds are cozy, & provide great sleep for this weary traveler with kids in tow. (We’ve been using this hotel faithfully since 2019 on cross country travel, same staff makes us feel at home).

The woman who checked us in was really accommodating and helpful. Clean room, good quality linens, nice towels, Very comfortable bed. The spa and pool area was really nice. There was a large family gathering for a funeral, and the hotel was crowded, but still very quiet in our room. Good breakfast. Safe location, close to interstate and shopping.

No elevator, but we got a first-floor room, which was appreciated.

It was comfortable and for me having white sheets and bedcover were perfect. ALL the clerks, housekeepers and maintenance staff were the best. Completely helpful if we had a problem. The breakfast was awesome. Great choices and tasted super great. We will stay there again.

It was a short drive to Grinnell College where we were visiting. The rooms were clean, check in and check out was easy. The breakfast was simple.

I think everything was good and I don't have anything about the hotel that I didn't like. The surrounding area had a manure smells (I am guessing they were fertilizing fields nearby) but you would not smell it in the hotel which was great.
