It is a new facility, so it is a really nice place. But, it has new facility issues (see below.) Being on 23rd street east of the fairgrounds meant it is a nice, quite location. But, don't trust Google to get you there! Google puts you on the wrong side of the road. Breakfast was better than the standard. Perhaps because it is new. Good staff, too!

At breakfast we had a waterfall! The huge AC unit above the dining area sprang a leak. (Before 6:00 am.) Maintenance was on it and had a bucket below. It wasn't an annoying drip, it was a flow. Add some rocks, it would have become a feature: flowing waterfall.

So when I booked this room I really did enjoy the location! It's just a few minutes from being in the city limits and I kind of enjoyed my privacy.. the front desk staff was good the guy on Monday made me laugh couple times he had a real great sense of humor and I felt really comfortable! Also to have a pool open till midnight in a weight room open till midnight we don't get that everyday! The rooms in the bed were very comfortable, the TV quality was great the AC could have been a little bit better but given a little bit of time on a hot day like it was it did the job.

A few knocks on certain facilities like the pool that's indoor, and it's sad to say but you really need to get someone to maintenance your pool better! The water was green and it smelled like chlorine bleach and that is not how you treat a pool. There were two kids and a mom swimming in there and my wife and I love each other and thought there's swimsuits are going to look at different color when they get out LOL plus it was about a 98° day and the outdoor patio areas cool but do you really need to run a fireplace on a hot day? And lastly we stayed on the second floor and the same to go pizza boxes were there the day of and the day after we checked out seriously! I don't know if the clean stuff only comes in a few days a week.

This is a relatively new property in excellent condition with a nice clean indoor pool, a decent size gym, and a nice patio with a large gas firepit and outdoor furniture for relaxing. All the staff were very friendly and focused on providing excellent service, especially Ryan at the front desk. The room was clean with comfortable beds and good shower temperature and pressure. Their breakfast was nicely stocked and above average in quality compared to most other properties that include a complimentary breakfast with your room. It's set up in a very nice self-serve buffet style breakfast room with real plates and utensils. The dining room is adjacent with a nice selection of tables with comfortable chairs.

Every aspect of this hotel was very good or better.

The hotel is new and clean. It is in a quiet area of town away from the busy campus which for us was a bonus. The breakfast was great, and coffee was available around the clock. The room itself was comfortable, and had everything anyone would need for a stay of up to a few days.

The hotel was busy, which made seating limited at breakfast. There were times when traffic in the hall was louder than we would have liked, but nothing that would stop us from staying again. Overall it was a good place to stay.

There was mold on our ac unit and when we asked the front desk for something to clean it with. They gave us a microfiber towel with liquid on it and said the maids would come deep clean the next day. But no one ever came to clean until we asked for more towels on the second day. And she only cleaned the bathroom. Not the window ac unit.

The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of options, some of which changed from one day to the next. It was well managed and hot food was hot. Enjoyed the selection of tea bags. We liked that the time frame was later on the weekend, allowing some breathing space in our morning plans.

The young man who staffed the desk when we checked in really doesn't understand "greeting" the guests. He was perfunctory, verging on bland or unwelcoming, as we registered and asked questions. He was not prepared to offer much info. The rest of the weekend the desk staff was personable and helpful. The road construction on the road out front was really annoying, but we know that the Country Inn has no control.

Motel charged me a $25 fee for possible room charges without telling me. At check in and out staff stated the fee would be automatically refunded if we had no room charges. We had none and it wasn't auto reimbursed. In fact, it was not even shown on the bill. All I have is a charge on my card greater than what I booked the room for. Felt like they should not handle it that way. I know it is not a lot of money but feel like they hoodwinked me and not sure they will refund it without having to complain to the company

Everything was Wonderful/Clean/Staff very Friendly/Accommodating!( Justin/Katie/Canya(breakfast person/another lady (forgot her name/breakfast!)Addison!) One downer thing! When I first got into Lawrence I couldn't find the hotel!? It took a while/I even called hotel-they couldn't even help me find it!? I had to get help from some of the businesses in the area!! Finally I reached the hotel@! Wasn't told/warned about the construction stuff either/made it extra hard to even get into the hotel!! Overall it still turned out to be a Fantastic/Fabulous stay at this hotel@ I would recommend it to others!! (Get rid of the traffic lights/waiting way too long for them to change over!!)

Mentioned above! The TV/the guide/didn't tell me about what my/who was on my shows!? I quess I could've used the/an elevator closer to my hotel room 🙃

Everything in this hotel is wondaful. room size, quietness, allocation, the breakfast

the only concern is the policy of the hotel. they do not clean the room until you check out even if you stay for long time.

the property was clean and the staff was extremely nice and so helpful. Ryan at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my sister and I were taken care of after our tire blew on the highway leaving us stuck in this wonderful little city, til the morning. His customer service was prompt and impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. I felt very safe overall.

This has nothing to do with the property nor the staff, but there was an older man who came up and sat and watched me and my younger sister swim causing us to feel very uncomfortable.
