By all accounts this is a pretty standard Holiday Inn. The facilities were nice enough. There was a pool that was being readily enjoyed by many guests. But the big thing - and it really is a big thing - is that when we realized that we had left our favorite stuffy at the hotel, the whole staff mobilized to make sure that he got home to us safely. He even got to help work the front desk checking in customers for the few extra days that he stayed in Horse Cave. We're thrilled to be reunited and can't say enough good things about the staff at Holiday Inn Express Horse Cave who helped to make sure that Moo could travel safely through the mail so our bedtimes feel safe again.

I booked this hotel through Booking.com looking for a pet friendly hotel. This one came highly recommended and it is a nice property. Not until check in were we told there would be an additional $50.00 fee for the pet. If there is going to be additional charges they should be made clear at the time of booking the reservation. Seems a bit shady to add at the check-in.

Very close to Kentucky Down Under

Shower diverter was broken - didn’t allow water to go to shower full stream. Ceiling in bathroom needed painted after repairs. Front desk attendant took forever to come to check us in. She was unloading a food delivery so I understand the necessity of her being gone but there was no bell or anything for us to alert her we were there. She was friendly though. We waited about 15 minutes.

The pool and hot tub were very nice and heated! Staff were helpful and customer service was great! Bed could have been more comfortable! Room was clean! Breakfast was free and decent! It was easy to find and to get to. We had to drive to all attractions and caves--we did 6 caves in the area and Mammoth National Park! Nearby restaurants were easy to find and staff gave us some really good recommendations, but a little bit of a distance away from hotel. If I had to plan this again I would stay in the next town over right off of the interstate ! Eat at the Watermill or Two Broke Girls and the Mexican place! Yum!

Your staff including Holly behind the desk 12/29 and the woman behind the desk 12/30 (her name escapes me) were excellent and why any of my marks are excellent. They are two woman who exemplify pride in their work and who show passion for who they work for. In addition, I cannot fail to mention the kindness and excellent customer service of all the staff who I encountered while staying at your hotel at the ending of 2023.

I am so impressed with this Holiday Inn. Super clean and quiet. Employees were so nice. The rooms were very comfortable. Coffee 24/7. 15 miles from restaurants and stores. You can practically walk to Kentucky Down Under. I don’t think I Could’ve found a better place to stay.

The staff was very kind and helpful. Room and main lobby were clean! The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were AMAZING. Lots of options with the included breakfast. We loved watching the pancake machine.

Only complaint would be the elevator and hallway were musty smelling.

It was a great time. Clean and modern. Staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay great.

Only down fall was the pool was cold and the heater was not turned on. Was told that it only gets turned on in cooler months. This was the main reason we choose here but still enjoyed a fresh swim.

After driving from Arkansas, visiting the Corvette Museum, and Mammoth Cave National Park, this hotel was much needed for a good night’s sleep. The following morning we were well-rested for our drive to Tennessee.
