An older motel, but it's been refreshed and was perfectly clean. Just be ready for it to be a little 'different' than you might be used to at chain hotels. I had a window air conditioner (with heat) instead of the typical through-wall or in-wall unit, but it kept the room perfectly cool. And the furniture is a bit old, but serviceable. But it's a budget motel, and I've paid much more for worse. $50/night plus tax on a weekend in August (summer season), and was only charged $15/night for my little dog. A friendly owner, big-screen TV, and fast wi-fi, what more do you need? I've stayed before and will stay again.

Location was great! Very clean room, shower and bathroom. Great that I could park right next to door of room. Nice TV.

Fellow running motel was kinda pesky. He charged me $10 CASH for my Show animals, who lived in cages, their feet "never touched the floor "! The next morning he found me loading my car, and demanded to see them, AFTER my kennel was closed/staged for the Airport! Then demanded my room key, on the spot! I wasn't done loading my car yet! I told him, NO, he'd get the key when I was totally done loading up. Which I did, walked it into office. His daughter took my key, he wasn't there.

This is an older motel, but it appears to have been kept up, and the room we were in was recently remodeled. The most important aspect was that the room was very clean. This might have been the cleanest motel room I have ever stayed in. The non-smoking room had not been smoked in. The floors were covered in quality non-carpeted flooring. The motel offered little in the way of amenities, which included a small refrigerator, microwave, and a wee little flat-screen television. (but no coffee maker) We weren't there to swim in pools or be entertained in a hotel/motel, so this room was great! All we wanted was a CLEAN, COMFORTABLE place to sleep. Our room was fantastic and filled our needs. Ultimately, the question is, would you stay here again, or would you recommend this to someone else (a friend)? The truth is yes I would stay here again

Unfortunately, while we were in town, we had a motor vehicle accident, and our transportation was totally destroyed. As we were searching the neighboring towns for a rental car, Mr Patel, the owner/manager, was primarily concerned with his extra charges and late fees. While I was away getting a car my wife had to vacate the room while we had no transportation. She was quite angry about that one. To be fair, after driving six and a half hours, we arrived two hours early, but Mr. Patel waived his early check-in fee as I told him that I would wait in order to not be charged. Will Mr Patel do anything for another dollar? I don't know, but his concern with the petty fees really detracts from the experience at this good motel.

Great little home town hotel. Met by the owner when we checked in. Such an amazing guy. He made us welcome, put me and my daughter in a quiet room up front. For what we paid, I was blow away. Clean, quiet, close to town. Had everything we could ask for. Is it a 5 star hotel, no, is it 5 stars for the price, absolutely. It's 10 stars for the price and location. If we ever are back in the area we will happily stay there again. Family run and family taken care of hotel, couldn't have asked for anything better.

Looking for an affordable place in cave city this place was a great value. Location perfect and bed was surprisingly comfortable. Overall place was clean. The owners were very nice and accommodating, even allowed us early check in.

People were smoking outside our rooms and it was coming into both of our rooms through the window AC units making both rooms smell of cigarettes. Also, the AC units need to be cleaned, not sure if there was mold or if it was just dirty in the vents

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the motel. We are definitely going to stay at the Horse Cave again. The gentleman that checked us in was really thoughtful and helpful. I appreciate everything he did. The next time I think we will get a king room even though I have some issues with my legs I think I can walk up the stairs. I really enjoyed our stay. It wasn't long enough stay. We want to Thank the staff.

To be honest I really don't have anything to say bad about our stay except I wish we could have stayed longer and I wish I have gotten the king room but that was my fault not the motel. Again We want to Thank the staff.

Quiet family owned, clean and close to the caves. Very accommodating to our dog. If you like the old style drive up to your door as I do, you should have a good experience. Some odd characters about but nothing unsavory or troublesome. Felt safe staying with my wife and daughter.

We have stayed in different motels around the area and this one is the best by a long shot! It was very clean, quiet, comfortable and the staff were all very friendly! We will definitely return anytime we’re in the area! The price is amazing for the stay!

Very very clean. The owner was so nice and accommodating the only thing I had a problem with was there wasn't enough lighting in the bathroom for the shower but other than that I will be going and staying again excellent little motel and price was more than reasonable just loved it and will be staying again but cleanliness was just exceptional it's cleaner than any other hotel I've stayed in!! Oh and could use a coffee pot in the rooms but other than little more lighting and a coffee pot in room that's all I can point out that is an issue but not gonna stop me from staying again.

Very convenient location, all the sights are close, the noise of the highways does not interfere, as the highway is far away, easy to find, a pleasant rest on the road.There are good places to eat quite close by.
