The Quisby was an experience within itself! I first fell in love with the outside and inside appearance with the beautiful "New Orleans" vibes! Secondly, I fell in love with the staff Friday and Saturday!

The staff Sunday was not near as attentive as the staff Friday and Saturday. He seemed to be completely unbothered with ensuring that guests had what they needed prior to and in order to check-out. He also did not speak to anyone once he finally did show up and seemed as if it were an inconvenience to his "breaking/smoking" or whatever he was doing. Very unprofessional and made guests uncomfortable and unwelcome. Compared to the other two staff members we had encountered- he did not seem to enjoy his job or help guests enjoy their stay. If it wasn't for the other two members I would probably never return to be honest.

This is an outstanding room/hotel as long as you understand what you are getting. It used to be a hostel but now a hotel; so the rooms are quite small when fitted with a king size bed (no room for a chair) but that is the only downside. Everything else was great!! Location: on St Charles with the trolly stop outside the hotel which takes you directly to Bourbon street. Quiet with lots of nearby very good restaurants. Continental breakfast included. Comfortable bed, clean, nice shower and a price that was appealing compared to other locations. I recommend it.

Beds were comfortable, nice Italian shower, the lady who welcomed us at our arrival was very nice

The surrounding is noisy at night because of traffic as the hotel is on a busy avenue. The first morning there was almost nothing for breakfast, I had to ask the receptionnist to understand what was supposedly breakfast. The guy at reception was almost sleeping and didn't care much about us or anything happening around. The 2nd morning, breakfast was much more well prepared, when I commented it to the nice lady at reception, she told me the Manager did it that morning. Anyway, breakfast had bad taste, the part with bagels and sandwich bread smells, the rest is inside plastic packaging, there is nothing fresh, nor fruits.

our room was spotless, had everything you would need from an ironing board to a hairdryer, even some interesting books on the shelves, very helpful and friendly staff, streetcar stop right outside the front door, wonderful complimentary breakfast that offered bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. the price was very reasonable for the three of us. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting.

the bar prices seemed a bit high but turns out they weren't that expensive compared to places on Bourbon. I really didn't have any complaints.

Friendly and responsive staff who were happy to help answer any questions I had. Location was pretty good, with street cars outside or a 20-25 minute walk into the French Quarter. I didn't take the street car, as I enjoyed strolling into town each day. Food readily available next door, with Courtyard Brewery or the Avenue Pub within a 5 minute walking radius if you fancy a good selection of beers. The Quart(?) is The Quisby bar, and also offers some good drinking options without needing to leave the Hostel. I stayed in the 4-bed shared accomodation room.

Mileage may vary when it comes to your fellow guests; generally a very positive experience, and never felt unsafe - but as to be expected with hostel stays, you'll probably be woken up once or twice as other people move around and enjoy their experience. So just keep that in mind!

Loved the help from Kay when I first arrived, she was such an amazing worker and helper. I also liked the interior design of the building very neat! Also close to many restaurants and scenic walking routes.

I didn’t like that there was available parking ( but that was already told to me before booking, as well as no microwave or fridge in the room for my stay was a bit of a problem for me.

Recently updated, super cute vibe, 24/hr bar, refreshing air conditioning, and really nice & helpful staff.

Not super close to the French Quarter, but the street car is literally a two minute walk from the hotel and goes straight there for super cheap, you can get a 3-day RTA pass for $8 which works for all the public transportation. ALSO, Bourbon St is super noisy so it was nice to have somewhere comfortable to wind-down and fully be able to relax.

Some of the staff were VERY nice (notably Ms Annamarie and Mr Tom). Very much enjoyed all of our conversations and how welcomed they made me feel. They are personally the reason I would return to the hostel (especially since it seems like the two of them are holding that place together). Beds are comfortable, unlimited sheets and towels (if needed), nice breakfast (although the hostel often runs out of food and never seems to order more, but that is a management issue). Overall, a great place with great atmosphere

Not a deal-breaker, but personally, I felt a bit of the younger staff/management were "inexperienced" when it came to how they talked to people and their cleanliness, but I understand in NOLA, as I have lived there before, it is the "cool" thing to be rude, so, I did not take it personally. But I know a few of the guests did. Also, the showers need curtains or doors. The bathroom floors are ALWAYS wet (and therefore, moldy). Not the fault of the facility manager, as this seems like an intentional design choice by ownership.

The location was perfection as it was super close to the garden district which is where I mostly explored. The cable cart was just outside and the airport bus was blocks away .. the rooms were spacious clean and comfy .. The reception staff were all super nice/ friendly & the breakfast was a bonus

1 of the night managers was the rudest ever. Check in was suppose to be 3pm as per online but she said she’s in charge and she says 4pm. You couldn’t ask anything if u needed anything when she was working nights and had to wait for the next manager to start at 11pm. It wasn’t just me who felt this way. A lot of ppl were saying the same thing. She shouldn’t be working there at all cause it defeats everything of her role

Loved this property! Never been to New Orleans so went on the reviews! Amazing location! Quiet but near everything!! Easy to get around. Staff were friendly and helpful. Property was clean and bed comfortable 😁👌🏼

There was nothing I didn’t like. I would stay here again if I come to New Orleans. Loved it 😊
