Room was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, including a comfy armchair (rare these days). Shower was excellent. Location was very good. Staff was wonderfully friendly.

The onsite "gastropub" didn't come close to its name. The room was too big. The service was painfully slow, probably because the bartender was forced to handle food delivery in addition to her other work. The food was pretty good, but not much of a dining experience. One consumer note, although this has nothing to do with the Royal Sonesta: There is another hotel downtown called "The Sonesta," which can be confused with the vastly superior Royal Sonesta. The former is (sorry) a bit of a dump several blocks from the Inner Harbor. Don't know if this is the same ownership, but the branding is a pretty misleading.

I loved the location of the hotel. The decor was absolutely beautiful as was my room. The hotel was walking distance to everything.

One of the sofas in the lobby has stains on the cushion. (I have pictures) My room had spots on the carpet in some areas. There is a spot on the wall in the bathroom near the trash can. It looks like someone spilled something down the wall that was not wiped up. For me the bed was not comfortable. There were guest on our floor that made noise from 12:30am to approx. 4:30am. I wanted to call the front desk but did not want to cause trouble. There was a restaurant I believe in the lobby I guess it was for hotel guest but not sure as no one explained that.....and the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool or sauna that I know of. Oh and my room ...when you opened the curtains faced a brick wall. No breakfast.

The staff was very nice and very professional, got us accommodated and checked in quickly. Friendly and down to earth people. The location was close to the harbor and to quite a few stores. Parking around the area is very expensive. Once the front desk realized the day we checked in was my birthday they worked something out to help with that parking expense. Very satisfied would stay again!

Parking is very expensive, the parking lots are located around the corner from the hotel so you'll have to walk a little distance with your luggage in hand in downtown Baltimore. The parking lot states a hourly rate and a all day rate. If you pay the all day rate and decide to leave to go somewhere and come back you are charged that all day rate again. So if you park there it's best to leave your car there if not you will be charged reached time you exit. I would recommend just utilizing the hotels Valet Service much easier much better and much more convenient!

I experienced a warm welcome throughout my entire stay. This hotel offers exceptional customer service; everyone was eager to assist and consistently approachable, especially Todd and Christopher at the front desk. The hotel maintains a very good standard of cleanliness throughout: in the lobby, the halls, and the bedrooms. I suffer from insomnia, yet I managed to sleep through several full nights here. The bedroom, the bed, and the pillows are ideal for a peaceful and restorative night’s sleep. I also studied in my bedroom, which had a desk, chair, good lighting, and a coffee maker. I spent nearly a week in Baltimore attending a class for graduate school. If I have to come to Baltimore again, I will definitely choose this hotel.

Facility was very clean, the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

First place we stayed that did not have a small fridge or microwave available in the room. We never realized how much we used it until we didn't have it. But we survived and not a deal breaker. The breakfast selection was very weak, not what we are used to when a hotel includes breakfast. We were disappointed in the strong smell of Marijuana throughout the building. Even though our room was non-smoking, you can't control the other people who have the rooms beside you. We knew when the rooms beside us were occupied because the smell was very strong. Perhaps some type of additional air purification units, especially in the non-smoking rooms, could help accommodate those who don't smoke. Since it is legal in Baltimore, I can only assume it would be a common issue at any hotel there.

Guests will appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, who are available around the clock, providing exceptional service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The rooms offer a cozy and spotless retreat, ensuring a restful stay. At the same time, the breakfast spread is generous and thoughtfully curated, featuring a variety of delicious options to start the day off right.

The breakfast bar was literally some breakfast items on the bar of their upcoming restaurant. Some coffee, hot water, oatmeal in packets, pop tarts, muffins, cereal, bagels, fruit, etc. Some would complain but it’s something. Otherwise room was wonderful! There’s a Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom. Very tidy, loved the amenities overall and staff was super helpful, professional and kind.

The breakfast offerings and it should be noted that guests going into their rooms and out, the doors are heavy and will make a loud noise. Not the guests fault but something to note for light sleepers but didn’t happen too often

Room was clean, comfortable, with decent amenities. The room itself was also surprisingly large for downtown Baltimore. Staff was very friendly. There was quite a bit of road noise, but that's to be expected from a second floor street-facing room. Very close to the convention center!

At this price point, I would have expected a mini-fridge in the room, and the breakfast was mostly pre-packaged pastries, cereal, and fruit. I wasn't expecting a full omelet bar, but at least one low-carb/protein option would really have been appreciated.

I like how easy it is to check in, also the rooms are big and the beds are comfy. Also like how close it is to many attractions. Also that there's a Dunkin and 7/11 around the corner. Breakfast had multiple options.

The doors to your room stick so you have to slam them shut. Breakfast isn't added with the small fee that's on booking. You have to pay for your items like a regular restaurant. Also when turning on the light to the bathroom it plays a jingle every time.

Room was nicer, larger and cleaner than I expected. And $2 beers during happy hour! And great Mexican restaurant in the same block on Charles St. Highly recommend.

Two tiny issues: Could have used an overhead light, or easier access to the floor lamp (switch was on the floor trapped behind a chair). And shower curtain rod needed to be tightened, as the curtain hung low into the water. But not a big deal.
