We stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Columbia, MD for a family reunion and really enjoyed our time there. The all-suite setup was perfect for our group—spacious rooms, multiple bathrooms, and plenty of comfort for larger families. The location is convenient, with restaurants like Olive Garden just across the parking lot, and Costco and other stores nearby. It’s also well connected to major highways and attractions.

The only downsides were its somewhat secluded setting—we had to drive about 30 minutes to meet family in the greater DMV area—and the breakfast, which was a bit basic with limited options. Still, we had a great stay and would definitely book here again!

The carpet, bed, curtains, paintings, and lights were all great and gave the room a good look. The sofa and table were great for relaxing and looking things up. The desk was perfect for work like activities. The bathroom overall was nice, especially the light up mirror and glass shower. The lobby vibe was decent too. I enjoyed all the green outside as well.

The price was up there (maybe because I booked so late). If I’m going to be picky, the lamps in the room used both white and yellow lights. They shouldn’t be mixed unless it’s the kitchen or work space…. The shower head pressure was nice, but I couldn’t find any softer setting for washing hair. You could occasionally hear people outside the door pretty easily, however no problems at night thankfully.

We stay here often, several times a year, in fact. Staff were wonderful, as always. Check-in and check-out personnel are professional and warm. The bed is always clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and the hallways are always clean. Really appreciate the black-out curtains, ice machine works and the kitchen is well equipped. Location is convenient with great parking and ease of access to markets and eateries. Very safe and accommodating for families.

Unfortunately, just until recently, the quality is not what we were used to from prior stays. The hot water in the shower was not always hot; more like lukewarm. The TV remotes did not always work; you have to take them down to the lobby for fresh batteries. And, unfortunately, the breakfasts were not as before. While the kitchen staff work very hard and clearly knows what they are doing in keeping it clean and refreshed; the food was not hot, hot oatmeal was not always available and the selection was more limited than before. Perhaps budget cuts? But, again, the staff are warm and responsive and tries their best.

The room was clean and spacious. not sure why we had a handicap room, but the bathroom was spacious as well. the bed was very comfortable. there were 3 restaurants directly across the street. there is also a shopping center with additional restaurants near.

what i didn't like is that when i checked in, i told the man at the front desk that when i check out i wanted to pay cash, he said ok. when i went to check out, i was told that they do not accept cash. how does 1 employee not know that. that irritated me and was the only thing that i did not like about my stay.

Staff were very professional and friendly. Breakfasts were wonderful and well thought out. The rooms were clean, comfy and met the spacing need. Rooms as pictured in the photos. Parking was easy with lots of room for wider vehicles. Location is convenient with lots of eateries in the area. And multiple entries into the building with the electronic passcard made it easy to come and go as needed.

We did not know it was a room that faced the pool and would have preferred to be told as such since there was a girls' group celebrating summer with a pool party all weekend. It was loud and I would have paid extra to move if I was told ahead of time that it was a room that faced the pool and there were pool parties expected.

The room was perfect for us after staying in a terrible place in NJ for several days. We had a suite with a family room and small kitchen area with plenty of room for our little one to crawl around and play. Bathroom was clean with good lighting. Beds were comfortable. There were ample outlets. Free parking, good wifi. There was even a free dinner meal (not sure how often this happens). Gym was big (for a hotel gym) and clean with good options for cardio and weights. Outdoor basketball court and pool that looked clean and nice (we didn't use).

The hours on the breakfast ended at 9 rather than 10, which seemed a little early to end breakfast. The area was ok - it was in an older business park with some closed restaurants. However, was convenient to the highway.

No complaints at this hotel. Friendly and responsive staff, very clean rooms and facilities. Comfortable beds and couches. One of the very best complimentary breakfasts I have ever had at a hotel. They served breakfast burrito bar along with all the usual stuff. I'm very particular about cleanliness and often feel disappointed at hotels but this one was phenomenal! The outdoor pool was clean as well as the fitness center. When we arrived, the smoke detector in our room was beeping. We called the desk and within 10 minutes a kind service man replaced the battery.

We loved everything!

Breakfast was okay. Not alot of variety but it was a gold start to the day. It would also be good to extend the week day breakfast by 30 minutes

There was a damaged lamp in the room that didn't work which was a little disappointing. Also I didn't realise purchasing movies was going to be so expensive considering things like netflix aren't included.

This place was immaculately cleaned. The rooms and common areas were so clean. The room and furniture was comfortable even my kid liked the pull out couch. The staff was so lovely. Every single one of them. They really make that Homewood Suites a very inviting comfortable place.

The items in the kitchen were pretty poor quality and pieces were missing and not usable. It was harder to cook there than I wanted but we made it work as best we could. Not sure a bent sauté pan is worth a complaint though.

What I liked most is that the standard check-out time is 12 - later than most. We were also allowed to check in earliet than the scheduled time - but this may have been luch. The front desk staff were friendly and the room clean and orderly, as expected

If it was cheaper it would have been exceptional! Also, it would be great to have car charging facilities on the property soon and having extended breakfast over the weekend to 1030am would work perfectly with late a check-out!
