Location, Property Gardens, personnel, History of facility. Nice Breakfast. Very nice Library. Gazebo with netting for mosquitoes, Inside Heater and Fan. I bet 90% of Vacationers never sit inside it. Tiled Bathroom, House has actual Older 4 inch Oak floors. You have access to Port or Sherry 24 hours a day. Walking distance to City Center and Fish Pier. You can watch Fishermen unloading their haul there. Good time frame would be 10-12, if not low tide. Seals swimming about there as well. Great for kids. Tip*, Parking lot is filled many times. Just before entering Upper Parking lot, there is an area where 4 SUV’s can park on North side of intersection.

At the end of a day, sometimes nice to watch a show, or 30 minutes Television. Television was non functional throughout. The young guy who serves breakfast stopped over. I knew it was the Wifi. Always cut out, couldn’t change movie or channel. I dont go on vacation to watch the TV. Maybe other rooms were ok.

My stay at the Captains House Inn was phenomenal. The staff was eager to make my stay in Chatham perfect. I felt like a member of their family while staying at this well kept & intricately decorated Inn. The hotel breakfast (included with our stay) was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. It offered plenty of delicious menu options including eggs Benedict, omelets, banana fosters French toast and other transitional breakfast options. On my last morning there, we had to check out early. Claude (the chef) prepared to-go breakfasts for my partner and I - all neatly packaged in a to-go container with coffees and waters. Housekeeping, kitchen staff, and management maintained a personal yet professional style of service. They were proactive and anticipated my needs before I could. I can’t even explain the level of attentiveness that was shown towards my partner and I. You must go and see for yourself. The location was good. We drove, biked or walked into the town and to the beach. Thank you to everyone at the Captions House Inn. We will be back!

Everything about the property was five stars! The location was great. The room was exceptionally clean. The little details were appreciated, such as bottled water and snacks in the room including robes. The breakfast was amazing with great selections and homemade banana bread to start. Rachel and Heidi were so pleasant and helpful. You can tell they enjoyed working there. We weren’t able to make the afternoon tea unfortunately this time. In the evening, there were fresh baked cookies and complementary Port and Sherry in the library. It was a nice way to wind down at the end of the day and play backgammon or chess in a lovely environment. There’s so much history in this property. We felt so welcomed and comfortable and will definitely return. We stayed in the Wild Pigeon room which was a beautiful. The bed and linens were so comfortable. We enjoyed watching movies by the fire while it rained outside. We were so happy that we found the Captain’s House Inn!!

The house and grounds are beautiful and historic. We went in the winter, mild weekend to our pleasure, the grounds were very nice, the trees especially. The other seasons must be magical. Walkable to downtown Chatham, too. We stayed in the Eliza Suite, clean cozy, great spa tub and bath salts. I will say the TV viewing set up was a bit nonsensical, only one chair had vantage point. I would get a bigger suite next time. The Complimentary breakfast is great quality and great deal! We did not get yo experience the "high tea" tiered cakes, as it wasn't offered, off season. But all day and night there are delicious home cooked scones, little muffins and pastries. The staff was also so kind and accommodating.

We came down for a couple of days for our honeymoon! Rachel greeted us and was so friendly! She led us to our room where she had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for us!! Such a nice touch. The room was beautiful. It had a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub! The room was immaculate! The bed was extremely comfortable! We also had a back deck. It seemed lone we had the place to ourselves- the location was great ! Also , breakfast was included and delicious! We highly recommended it here ! Thank you for a wonderful stay !

The grounds are very well kept and the gardens are beautiful. Quiet gardens with only the sound of birds and the fountain. Gardens and sitting areas are around each room. The breakfast is delicious and the perfect way to start the day. Several choices and all very good. Staff is all very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The rooms are kept very clean as well as the entire property. Fireplace also in the room.

The food was really good. We would have loved to have the option to eat there more than just for breakfast.

It’s charming, comfortable, characterful and luxurious with those extra touches that make it really special. Breakfasts are outstanding, the kitchen, waiting and housekeeping staff were an absolute joy and the bikes available on site are a great bonus. A walk to the Chatham fish market is a must and hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to see the resident seals. The Chatham Squire in town has a great ambience/vibe and the food is good and value for money. Loved it!

Best place we’ve stayed in a long time! The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. The breakfast each morning was the best part of our day with plenty of variety. The afternoon tea and evening cookies were an added bonus. The property was meticulously maintained and we could tell the owners took pride in their establishment. Our room was cleaned daily by the staff in order for each night to be comfortable. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Excellent choice for breakfast which set us up for the day. The best breakfast of our tour around New England. We certainly didn't need lunch! In the afternoon there were cookies in the dining area and also mid afternoon the option of afternoon tea. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, the grounds around the Inn were very well kept. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable.

I really want to emphasize how wonderful the innkeeper was. Rachel truly went above and beyond as the perfect host for our weekend getaway. She was incredibly responsive and welcoming, ensuring that any issues we had were addressed quickly and efficiently. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and the thoughtful extra touches—like the homemade baked goods and port in the library—made our stay feel even more special
