It’s a charming old Inn (the building dates to 1716 right in the heart of Concord with its own restaurant downstairs. If you’re into staying in historic places, then I’d definitely recommend.The room was comfortable with a fairly large bathroom. There’s no pool (I was with my 8 year old but Walden Pond is nearby and has public beaches and the cleanest water I’ve ever seen in any lake or pond.

The staff weren’t overly welcoming or friendly. Didn’t get much information on check-in without asking. Very steep stairs to the rooms and the place is a bit of a maze to navigate. No breakfast Mon-Friday. Even on weekends you have to pay. There’s a Nespresso machine downstairs but it seemed to be out of the milk function to make lattes or cappuccino but making regular coffee was fine.

The staff were uniformly very helpful. A very active property extremely busy with local residents . Consistently good food across all restaurants. Masses of character in the original 1700 parts of the property.

No breakfast offered during the week. Though Concord has a few cafes within 5 minutes of walking. Atmospheric but very busy bar including a good range of local ales. Slightly jaded in heavy wear areas of the original building. Our room was not as depicted or as comfortable due to the chairs apparently being removed for replacement. The staff did however offer an alternative room including easy chairs.

A historic inn, a jewel in the heart of Concord. A lovely place, so lovely that I extended my stay and decided not to go to Boston downtown on my last day in Massachusetts. The staff were awesome and accommodated my request when I arrived a tad earlier than expected. Plenty of information on the area is available to the guests. The tavern and restaurant are good, open to external guests as well; at the time of my visit no breakfast options were provided onsite, but there was coffee and tea available both in the room and in the lobby area. Room was spacious and bathroom tiny, but more than adequate for a solo traveller. Toiletries were not cheap, I always bring my own stuff but I was happy to use the hotel provision this time! If you love history and the feel of it, this is the place to stay.

I liked everything but I understand some people may be picky so: It wasn't clear to me when central heating would be on, so I had to play around a bit with the a/c unit. The Prescott wing queen room might be a bit noisy to sensitive ears, with windows on the main road. I didn't mind but some may.

The location is incomparable. The reception and restaurant staff were very good. The bar and restaurant are pleasant gathering places with good service and food.

Acoustics are a problem, both in the restaurant indoors and in the Prescott wing rooms. We cold hear body sounds and throat-clearing etc very clearly through the walls of our room. A delivery truck parked outside our room, in the inn parking lot, and stayed there for hours, engine running. Every time a door closes in the hallway it reverberates inside the room.

Used a coupon, as the previous room we had during our stay had a MAJOR water issue (couldn't take showers because when we turned on the shower faucet, it wouldn't turn off (!). In addition, the tub was clogged, so it kept getting higher and higher... we called the front desk immediately and they sent maintenance, but even they had a difficult time. We ended up having to check out early. When we checked out, the woman at reception said there was nothing they could do (even claimed we had booked through a different online service, which we had NOT done). She seemed just lazy and didn't want to deal with our issue. My husband called a week or two later to speak to a manager and they sent us a coupon for a free stay another time. This was the stay & I must say, the manager on duty (12/10) was exceptional. She was professional, kind and completely made good on their commitment... putting me in a very nice room, with excellent service. We will now return!

A flawless correction to a prior problem.

- Location is right in the center of town - Bed and bathroom are clean - Staff are polite… but (see below)

- Haunted (even though we did not see or feel any spirits), it’s still makes us slightly uncomfortable - even though the furniture and structure are new, they are of poor quality. The bathroom sink was broken and mended a few times, the pieces of glass that holds the soap and toothbrush couldn't hold anything because it is so slanded, anything will slide right into the sink - Staff put our teenage daughter on the opposite side of the complex (desperate entrance and stairs, both 3rd floors, without lift) When we said that we are uncomfortable with the arrangement and we need to be closer together, he just kept asking us if the two separate rooms are okay. It took some stern objection for him to start looking at the screen for a different room.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly, patient and helpful, making me feel like I was back home. Although it is a century-old hotel, the equipment and decoration are still in the newly renovated state. In particular, the bedding is very clean and has a fresh aroma. The food in the restaurant is freshly made. The service is excellent, easy-going, kind and patient. Parking is also very convenient, and there is a bar for entertainment in the evening. I will stay here again, just like returning to a warm home.

The historic property is furnished and decorated to the timeframe of the American Revolution. It’s not a typical hotel. It’s an experience. The on-site restaurants and tavern are amazingly adorned with artifacts and art of the day yet there is modern comfortable seating.

We arrived around 7:45 pm along with at least one other party. We were all hoping to grab a quick meal and drink but due to hours of operation it was too late to place an order. The kitchen was closing in minutes. They need to create a limited pub menu and keep the tavern open longer for late check ins and those just enjoying a drink. In addition it would be wonderful if there were some parties or fruit available for purchase at the desk each morning. We weren’t even aware of the coffee and tea service until the day we checked out.

Such a quaint Inn. The style was welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable; bathroom was large. The price was very reasonable. Location is perfect right near the center of Concord so you can walk places.

The Inn has two restaurants which were booked for events so it was not possible for guests to eat dinner there. Related, people coming to the Inn for events took up the parking spots. I wish the Inn reserved a small dining room for guests and simillarly, blocked off a section in the parking lot for guests staying at the hotel.

Concord's Colonial Inn is an exceptional historic inn with a massive amount of history and legend in the beautiful, idyllic setting of Concord, MA. I love the history and beauty of the area and of the inn. Everyone was friendly, kind and welcoming.

The only two things I didn't like was that there wasn't any regular housekeeping for the rooms - it was upon request only - and even though they give you a wifi password, the internet didn't work very well in our room. We had to go to the front of the inn or outside to get a good connection. But those were really minor issues - I would stay there again in a minute.
