The hotel is super close to Ford Field and other venues. About a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel is moderately sized throughout the lobby and the elevator has a function that allows you to use it with your hotel room key. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, everything was clean and nice.
The breakfast could have been better, for the price. You get the option of all you can eat or something specific. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Food was cold and hard but the staff was quick enough to bring out fresh food.

We used valet parking which was very convenient for us.
I had reserved 3 rooms in my name, my oldest sons name, and my middle sons name. We were not charged until we checked in or checked out. We asked that each room be put on their credit cards, not all three on mine. When we checked our statements in our email after we left, we noticed that all three rooms are charged to my Visa card. I will ask for a paper receipt from now on and make sure the correct card is charged.

Easy walking distance to ford field. Staff was all very friendly.
If check out is noon and you have the do not disturb sign up housekeeping shouldn’t continually try to come into your room early. If we hadn’t gotten to the hotel at 2pm (check in is at 3) we wouldn’t have gotten into the hotel parking. The police had it barricaded of by 3. I would be frustrated if I was staying there and couldn’t get to the parking lot. That needs to be addressed by the hotel for paying customers on event days.

We enjoy our stays at the Hilton Garden Inn Detroit. The lady that has checked us in and out the last few times is amazing. I believe her name is Jeri (sp). She is very happy, friendly, and informative! We like the location as it’s close to everything we need and want. The valet Mike, parks our vehicle when we get there and brings it when we leave. We do very much like the employees ❤️
This was the first time we tried the bar/restaurant for dinner and it was aweful! The atmosphere and menu make you feel as if you’re in a fine dining place, but that was not the case. My husband and I both ordered the 100% prime steak burger. Ordered medium well with ketchup, mustard and pickles. This burger was literally the size of a 50 cent piece, the bun 3 sizes bigger, the burger was a pre cooked with grill marks, frozen burger!! Not to mention it was $21 a piece for this absolutely horrible burger! Oh, and, I got pickle spears to put on my burger. They didn’t carry pickle slices 🫤 This was really upsetting because I can tell you, the restaurant has absolutely nothing on the hotel! Won’t be eating there again!!!

Nice location for a Tigers game. Central and decent location in general. Clean room w essentials. Front desk staff were really exceptional. Pleasant, helpful and a very positive energy!
Parking. We paid for parking in a nearby garage for a decent price, much less than hotel parkjng. But this was not too big of a deal because it seemed that pretty much everywhere downtown Detroit charged for parking

Location is prime! Favorite hotel here because I come for shows at Filmore and Fox. Staff is always pretty cool, kind, and helpful. This visit, Especially Jedalyn, she was always smiling warm and going above and beyond to make customers feel like it’s home. And the Valet at night, i heard him called Noel? He’s easy to approach and went out of his way to help customers and other staff. Love to hear music all over at night and can walk to everything important downtown. Maintenance and other staff came immediately up if i needed stuff which is probably hard to keep up with so appreciate that.
Not criticizing at all but some suggestions. Needs updating and pool. I always choose Hilton Garden Inn in every town if possible. They are always new or flipped with modern furnishings so bathroom is new and clean and appliances are working good, with affordable mid price. -This Hilton needs update, bathroom tubs looked dingy although clean so makes you not notice the other updates, fridge never worked properly so some food was ruined, and tv picture was not looking he. 2nd stay at this site. -Also I always pick Garden Inn becuaee they all have indoor pools, but the pool here was shut down after COVId from some structure issue maybe? It’s my favorite thing about all hotels, swimming.

I enjoyed the fact the hotel is located right in the middle of downtown Detroit
I do not like that there wasn’t an area for pets to use the bathroom. There were some bushes and freshly laid mulch that got everywhere. I just wish it had a dedicated area for pets.also, why is valet parking at the hotel so expensive?????? Very disappointing.

Great location as we didn’t need to use our car since everything was within walking distance
The daily fee for valet parking was absurd but there are no other choices unfortunately. It would also be helpful if there was a sink outside of the bathroom since we did stay in a suite.

convenient for events downtown, the valet parking
no full time resturant, breakfast buffet only. 16.99. really? guest staying should only pay 12.99, outsiders 16.99 verify by showing room key. bar wasn’t staffed properly or set up properly. should have small kitchen for lite sandwiches, burgers and fries, small appetizers

It was my birthday and the manger I was checking in gave me and my fiancé gave myself two complementary vouchers to breakfast. And we received a goodie bag for upgrading into a premium king room.
I hated the valet parking was the only parking lot and the $50 overnight charge.
