Good breakfast, although some issues with the coffee thermos not working properly. But I really liked the mixed fruit bowl. The room was great, although the curtains had to be shut just right or the light came in. It was also easy to find as it was right near the highway, but...see below.

My room was on the first floor facing the highway, which was about 100 yards away. So I would say that for me the location was the worst aspect of the place - too near the highway. I thought the rate was quite high, but I realize this was high season especially with the Beethoven and Shakespeare festivals going on now.

It’s closer to the lake. There are stores at a walking distance along with some fast food joints and a good coffee shop called Mugby Junction. The location of the property is just perfect. Witnessed the best sunset ever. Even though I didn’t have a vehicle, the Winona Amtrak station is 30 minutes by walk. You can travel without any vehicle of your own if you’re are up to walking.

Can give some vegetarian/vegan options for breakfast.

The value. I usually stay in Rochester at the Hilton Home2 which is half the price. I guess you can charge more because you don’t have much or any competition. I was in Winona for a funeral. If I ever need to come back I will stay in Rochester. I have family there and it is not worth paying double the price.

No toilet paper in the lobby bathroom. I only went in to wash my hands before breakfast but this was something that I noticed. I did bring it to the attention of the staff and it was rectified.

The hotel was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and quality at breakfast and the upkeep on the gym. My stay lasted five nights, and each day was met with the same level of excellence .

Very well thought out layout of the room. Comfortable bed and couch. Nice bathroom.

The air conditioner made a very strange gurgling sound at all times which kept me from sleeping well.

It was better than my expectations. The service was hospitable. The place was clean and well-maintained by staff. I also like the local newspapers.

I didn't like having to submit a credit card for incidentals, an outdated and unnecessary practice that puts my financial identity at risk.

Breakfast was only served till 9 on weekdays and at 830’there was not much left. Front desk staff was ok just not welcoming but still professional.

Business purpose was meetings at Winona State University. Great location, close to campus. Beautiful city. Really nice, clean, and updated property. Sunday was crowded, but the nice breakfast was able to handle things.

The place is very clean and has a lot of amenities. Close to everything in Winona and easy to get on/off the highways.
