The property is amazing. Only 6 miles from west entrance. Lots of wildlife! Little lake with Madison river out the back door. The cabin itself was awesome. Lots for kids to do...games, smores, fishing, playing. The restaurant was really good. The staff is amazing... especially Christian!!!
The bed!!!! It was horrible. Too soft and too squeaky. Anytime anyone moves it made lots of noise. Not a little noise, but we're talking wake the dead noise. One of us ended up sleeping on the couch. Replace the bed and it is worth every penny!!!

WOW we are so glad we included a place like this to stay as part of our Yellowstone trip. The way that the ranch is set back from the highway surrounded by cattle highlights the beauty of the West Yellowstone surrounding areas. The lodge is gorgeous and full of small details to enhance the stay for the guest. From free postcard mailing service to smores kits, it was fantastic. Our cabin had a beautiful view of the pond and gave off a rustic but chic vibe.
We had one minor inconvenience with our key not easily opening the lock on our door. Staff was helpful but it wasn't fixed during our stay.

From the moment we arrived at the ranch we were made t feel as if we were not only valued customers, but that we were VERY welcome. The staff could not have been better - every single staff member we came into contact with is worth their weight in gold, they were so friendly, so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in us. The main lodge is INCREDIBLE and we felt so comfortable just sitting reading, or playing games in the outdoor space. The free 'Smores (yes, they really are free) were a brilliant touch and the cap fires are wonderful to sit around after a day in the park. We were in on the the cabins and whilst small, they had everything we could need. the bed was super comfortable and the show was hot and plentiful. You could park the car right outside and there was even a grill outside the cabin you could use if you wanted (they even let us use some crockery & cutlery!) We did eat in the restaurant - and sadly this was NOT of the same standard. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant itself was great - but the food was the blandest and most expensive of our holiday. Expectation sadly did not match reality.
the restaurant food sadly really let the restaurant down - we loved the staff, they tried their hardest, but the food was bland, expensive and not very well cooked

We spent a few nights at Yellowstone Bar n Ranch on our honeymoon back in October. Christian was absolutely lovely - he made us feel so welcome, gave us dinner recommendations for West Yellowstone, talked us through walks in the area, showed us around the property and most importantly, explained how to make smores around one of the few fires he lit up around the ranch! We loved the time we spent in our little cottage, it had a magnificent view of the lake right across it, it was very well maintained and clean, and the fireplace made is super cozy. The location was great too - about 20min drive to Yellowstone and there was a great little restaurant in West Yellowstone which we frequented during our stay. Hopefully we will be back one day!
Absolutely nothing!

The General Manager Christian was fabulous. We arrived in the evening planning to eat at the highly rated restaurant but had not known it was closed for the season. Not wanting to drive back into town Christian (and Ashley) kindly gave us a beautiful soup meant for the guests the following day. It was divine. The cabin was great, the landscape so beautiful but most of all iwas the welcome and feeling of being a valued guest. The breakfasts by Ron were also memorable as well as the s’mores available every night. I wish Bar N Ranch were on this side of the Continental Divide! Id go back in a heartbeat.
The restaurant was closed for the season.

Friendly staff, comfortable cabins with small refrigerator, small sink and microwave. Also a nice seating area with TV. And a fieplace for chilly nights. Outside there is a grill and patio , a shared fireplace and a pool and hot tub. Just the right amount of privacy and interaction with other guests. The lodge is warm and inviting. Nice place to play a game, have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. And the home- cooked hot breakfast is fantastic. We also loved the location just a few miles from town. But the best part is the staff. Helpful, kind and going above and beyond to make you feel at home
Everything was great. No complaints

Bar 'N Ranch was easily one the best highlights of my entire honeymoon! Such a beautiful, fun place and a must see if you're staying anywhere outside of Yellowstone. The entire property is simply gorgeous- with rolling hills making up the farmland, and mountains sprawling for miles and miles beyond that. There was a pond behind our cabin clean enough to see the fish swimming and jumping, and the grass was full of colorful wild flowers. And the cows! Oh my god, the cows were so CUTE!! Please don't beep at them or run your car up on them to force them to move, that is just so mean. It's a lot more fun watching them take their time across the road and talk to them instead. The lodge where you check into the cabins (I believe there are also guest rooms as well) is also beautiful- all polished wood with plenty of taxidermy and bear skins and a massive stone fireplace. There was an excellent variety of fresh tea and coffee available within the lodge too. The bar/restaurant lodge is designed very much the same, and is just as pretty. It was so nice to enjoy breakfast while staring out over the mountains. I'm sure the guest rooms in the lodge are really nice, but hear me out- just splurge and get a private cabin you will NOT regret it! Especially if you can get cabin 9. You'll get a great view of the pond and mountains, a super comfy and clean bed, a fireplace, and a stone shower- super super romantic if you're travelling with a spouse but could be a fun spot if you're with friends too. Cabin comes with a TV with a DVD player too, and plenty of channels for later. Great view of the stars and plenty of adorable bats to keep the mosquitoes at bay while you stargaze. Final note is just to gush about how nice the staff is! I'm writing this review a month after, so I unfortunately forgot the name of the young lady at check in and the young man at check out, but wow- A+ hospitality and warmth from both!
This is NOT Bar ' N Ranch's fault but rather some of the jerks staying/visiting, but oh my god- please be patient with the cows when they're crossing the road! The ranch is their home, and some of them are just small calves. My husband and I had a lot of fun taking pictures of the cows and talking to them as we waited for them to cross. Other people were honking at them, flashing their lights, one asshole practically drove his truck right up on them to force them to move. Not cool!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was great! Very clean and comfortable. Like the lounge area with the big fireplace.
Booking.com sold us on a cabin with a kitchen, a view from our room, restaurant on site, elk bugling. What we got was a room, no microwave, view of the roof, Restaurant was closed (breakfast was served at the lodge). No elk anywhere near the lodge.

The staff was welcoming & accommodating, views were spectacular, food at the on site restaurant was amazing, location was perfect for us as we were able to get to west gate of Yellowstone within 10 min. Enjoy the town & amenities like shops & restaurants & fishing nearby was a plus 😊 we really enjoyed our time at Bar N Ranch & hope to return as often as time permits.

Breath taking view when we arrived. We settled in and looked at each other. We will not go anywhere for the rest of the day. Restaurant is good. There are plenty of room for sitting around and just enjoying the view. My husband took a short run around the ranch. We wish that they have horse riding within the ranch.
