1872 Inn was a nice experience the staff was amazing, the younger female owner could have been a little more friendly or talkative to myself and my wife. We are business owners ourselves and we treat every customer like we are employees at the business. Not a big deal just something we both noticed. There was an amazing front deak staff member I wish I remembered his name all we know he was from Jamaica. He along with the rest of the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcomed even the person attending or making up the room was friendly he only spoke Spanish but we could communicate with him. The Inn was very quiet at all hours of the day and night. The breakfast was good every morning. Just about anything someone would want from 6:30 / 7a.m. to 10a.m. Eggs,bacon, potatoes, 3 types of bread,doughnuts, oatmeal, bananas, oranges, cereal and more. OJ, milk, water. Microwave in the lobby so if you go out and order a large pizza take it back to your mini fridge then you can walk down and heat it up for lunch or a late night snack. The lobby is 24/7 along with the front desk staff. This was an amazing place to stay, there isn't a bar/ restaurant on sight but you can make a short walk to The Branch restaurant and bar is just 3 short blocks walk (2 minutes if that) they have a good Moscato wine, any liquor someone would want, and beer. 1872 Inn is like a home away from home. We live in a four thousand sqft home and never felt like the room was too small at 1872Inn, we didn't stay in the room very much since it's so close to the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park we always had something to go see or just drive around the park. We plan on making another visit to West Yellowstone and we will pick the 1872 Inn to stay again the 5 minute drive to the park entrance was so convenient for us especially if someone is a morning person to avoid the long line the park experiences.

The female owner could be more friendly and talkative. They weren't rude just something we noticed.

Breakfast selection was great. I love the rustic design. The entire hotel smells like the spas I've been to in Bali, Indonesia. Our room was very clean. I love the bathroom with its towel warmer. The location of the hotel is so close to the Yellowstone National Park West entrance.

The view from our room was a car repair shop. But that wasn't a big deal for us. We closed the curtains. We wanted a hotel that was close to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park. So the view from our room wasn't important.

The 1872 INN was perfect! Great location, super clean, excellent breakfast and the cozy Montana feel you are wanting! The Sauna was a nice perk! The beds were very comfortable and the in-room fireplace provided the perfect romantic setting. I am certain it is one of the nicest places to stay in West Yellowstone. I could not recommend this property enough.

The only negative. which they state, is there is no elevator. If you are on the second floor, just be prepared to take stairs with your luggage. It was not a big deal.

Such a cool vibe in this boutique property. They have paid attention to detail for sure. The fireplace, double sinks with his and hers products, robes and fridge with complimentary drinks are nice touches. The bed was seriously the most comfortable one I have EVER slept in…mattress, sheets and pillows are all top notch. We loved sitting in the cozy lobby playing games after a fun day in Yellowstone. The breakfast in the morning was yummy. And the staff was over the top helpful and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The staff was friendly, accomodations were clean and tastefully decorated, breakfast was a great asset and good, within a mile of yellowstone!

Loved there mugs and decor, wish they would sell some of their exclusive items! It would be nice to have another chair in each room to sit and have a conversation or a small outside area to sit and have a glass of wine.

Everything about this place was amazing! The rooms were very clean and cozy. The staff was wonderful-I loved the fact that you get a tour of your room and all the amenities. The breakfast was delicious. It was so quiet and relaxing. It was only a mile from the west entrance of Yellowstone. I can’t say enough great things about this place. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone!

The hotel offered basic amenities and comforts, is in a good location, it was clean, comfortable, and definitely a great value when compared to many of the other hotels in the area. Driving a few extra minutes to save hundreds of dollars is a no brainer in my opinion.

The room was nice and comfortable but felt a little cramped and lacked nightstands by the bed. The fridge was pretty small but that really was not an issue for our stay. The bathroom was a good size with a nice shower.

this is a beautiful  boutique hotel with very tasteful decoration. The breakfast was very good. We loved the large shower.  The front desk. Staff were very helpful. I read someone saying that this was in a bad neighborhood. This is not Manhattan!  It is West Yellowstone, which is a very touristy place, not sure what they were expecting. Also, someone had mentioned that they don’t have an elevator. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if he could help us with our luggage since our room was on the second floor, and he gladly helped us! You just have to ask!

I think the mattresses (caved) and the sheets have done their time and need to be replaced. There was a musky smell in our room, but they gave me some air freshener. I believe if they replace the bedding’s with new sheets, that problem will be solved.

This Inn is a little hidden when driving through the town and we were definitely traveling during non-peak season. The streets were dead! Either way, we got to the Inn and thought we had the whole place to ourselves, because there were no other cars in the parking lot. We walked in and saw a beautiful, modern lobby with a fireplace going. The room was spaciously small, if that makes sense. There's no elevators in this place, so be prepared to carry your luggage around. Breakfast was good too. They had a little bit of everything, but better than a continental breakfast at a normal hotel. I would stay here again.

This place is in a league of its own. Yes, it is expensive but if you want something special, this is it. The attention to detail is amazing. The rooms are cozy, furnished in a held back western style. The bathroom with granite and wood-looking tiles in a double! shower is what you expect from a five star hotel. A gas fireplace in the room warms in a cold Montana night. The hotel has a fitness room, sauna and outstanding breakfast. Classical music, china and silver cutlery, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and so much more. No disposables in sight. The staff is amazing, takes every guest to their room, explains all the features in the hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay an unforgettable experience.
