The staff are very friendly! Lynda was so sweet and helpful. She helped us make our tour much easier. The breakfast was amazing and the (young lady was wonderful) She was very responsible with keeping up with breakfast demands and very polite. It was a great experience. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you Lynda for all your help to our family! 🥰

Had a lady in the breakfast area who was not a great worker. She was very distracted on her phone, sausage on the floor, honey on the countertop, and the trash was all full. I need some cereal bowls. I need to find her, she was at the reception desk talking with another employee. So she was NOT paying any attention. Please, this was the OLDER LADY. The YOUNG GIRL was very sweet and a hard worker. We loved her. 🥰

The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the small center of town, so it was not noisy. Though there had been some nice upgrades and the place was very clean, well-cared for and maintained, it has a feel of an older hotel which suited the area. We did not use the pool and spa as we didn't have time, but it looked nice enough through the window, without any frills. The beds were comfortable and the room was an average size with two desks, three chairs, and plenty of storage. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Typical American breakfast foods, with several hot options that were different the two days we ate there (for example, fried eggs, sausage patties, and ham one day and sausage links and omelet the other). The coffee was surprisingly good. Overall, a great stay - clean, comfortable.

The cost is high for what you get, but it is August and we overheard the front office tell someone on the phone that their three properties were all fully booked and so were most of the places in town.

Fabulous location, super breakfast, and our check in front desk staff were 👏 amazing. Dee and Steve were really friendly, super helpful and gave us info on Yellowstone Park, bear sightings locations and tips on where to eat out.

centrally located, front desk couples are so darn cute and have many suggestions for local restaurants and things to do or see. they live here and know the area well and will share info if you ask, we had to extend our stay one day and they were very accommodating to help us out… breakfast was awesome. somethings offered different daily.. Hats off to Paulla (spelling) she works her butt off…the heated pool and hot tub was a nice bonus!! rooms were clean with microwave and refrigerator…rooms set up has nice flow for an older property!

no fault of theirs but they tend to get a few busses full of overnight travelers that like to be loud or in a hurry.. we had 2 busses show up while there but it’s the beginning of the busy season so it’s to be expected in this small town. all the hotels experience this…

I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We were allowed to check in early because the room was ready. The room itself is spacious and even has two desks. The breakfasts are excellent—the most unexpected part was the frozen berries and fruit you can add to yogurt. There is plenty of space in the breakfast area. The staff are very friendly and responsive. The pool area is clean and spacious. Great location—quiet and close to all the restaurants and shops. Access to hot water, coffee/tea and still water all day for free.

I liked the location of the hotel to Yellowstone Park west gate, it was very convenient. Debbie W checked us in and was able to get us into a room a little early She was very helpful in suggesting tour guides, places to see and restaurants to try. Such a cheerrful person every time we saw her. The room was very nice, clean and spacious, staff was very helpful. The breakfast area was very clean and organized, variety of breakfast foods on the menu. The stay at the hotel made our vacation even better. Gerry & Denise R

Nice to have indoor pool/spa. Breakfast was a nice variety and good. Great to have self-laundry on site (soap distributor didn’t work after coins inserted but staff helped by making sure we had some).

The staff were helpful when engaged, but otherwise they were not very talkative and gave brief answers with the most minimal information. The A/C unit made a loud “clunk” when it would turn off and on. The bathroom shower curtain smelled of mildew (although no visible signs) and probably should have been changed out.

We booked this hotel at the peak of tourist season in Yellowstone. It was more expensive that what we would normally pay, but still significantly cheaper than any other similar place close to the other entrances to the park. The staff is super friendly and have a lot of experience with Yellowstone and can give very useful tips to anyone. The hotel hot breakfast is quite good and changes from day to day and includes quite a few more options than the traditional continental breakfast. Tee and coffee are available in the hotel lobby 24 hours. The room was very spacious and clean and it included a fridge, a coffee machine, a microwave a work desk and another small table. The heated pool and the hot tub were also nice. West Yellowstone is a small town of 1000, but there is a lot to do and see there. There are quite a few good restaurants to eat, a small park, 2 supermarkets, an IMAX cinema and we loved the Grizzly and Wolf Education Center, too.

The hotel breakfast area is small and when the hotel is full during the tourist season, it gets really crowded in there. There are additional tables available in the lobby and outside the hotel, but it's difficult walking around carrying food and drinks with so many people around.

Located outside the main street, so quiet. Very good breakfast - in fact, it was our biggest suprise. Also staff very friendly and helpful. Room serviced daily, towels exchanged regularly.

The walls are not sound-proof, but no problem during the night - just in the morning, when everybody rushes to be early in the national park, it wakes you up. There was a noise coming from outside (air-condition? pump from the neighbor?), but with window closed, it was OK.

Exelsior place! No regrets at all by choosing this play to stay during long weekend (Labor Day) for our trip to Yellowstone. Close to the little downtown and the park entrance! Comparing the prices around still on the table cause the breakfast it’s a big plus for a long run. Super clean, staff was nice and the breakfast room have enough space for everyone but be there early on peak season cause the plate choices will be shorter. Everything that hotel offer it’s good! And have on mind that the mattress are orthopedic! I am not very demanding when all needs are met. And they are pet friendly! that’s why I’ll give this hotel and 5 star
