Hardman House is in the heart of Carson City. It was definitely a good location, near a lot of restaurants, and with excellent freeway access. It may be an older hotel, but it is well maintained, and our room was immaculate. We were also surprised by how quiet it was at night. All in all, I think Hardman House is an excellent value for the money, and we would definitely stay there again.

Check-in seemed a little scattered. It seems like there may have been a shift change going on, because initially we were dealing with one individual who asked for our ID, and then asked us to wait a while because our room wasn't ready yet, and when we checked back on the room about 30 minutes later, we had to start over with another person. Like I said, not a big deal. We had arrived early, and I do think they were doing their best to get us in before the normal check-in time.

I was worried about Hardman Hotel as I have been going to another hotel for years, and being that it was the Easter holiday it was booked solid and the price was outrages for a 4 night stay. Hardman Hotel price was so much better and let me say, that I was very impressed with the check-in customer service. They all are very friendly. I noticed they had coffee, water and fruit available in the office area, also, the rooms where very clean and the beds where so "darn" comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud! I have sciatica issues but not with their mattress. I will continue with staying at Hardman Hotel as it was so quiet, and they have a basement to park your car. That I greatly apricated! I'm a very satisficed customer!

First of all, the staff was very friendly, but there was just some issues. Phone didn’t work in the room. Carpet needs to definitely be replaced in the hallway cause you can’t push the luggage cart hangs on the carpet because the carpets loose and it definitely could’ve been a little cleaner, but I really believe that if I had voiced any of my concerns, staff would have done whatever they could to make things right. So the fact that may be a few things could use a little TLC I can overlook because I like how I was treated in the bed was extremely comfortable

The staff, from housekeeping to front desk, was exceptional. Kind, personable, and so very helpful and friendly!! I appreciated the family atmosphere.

While it is accepted that this is a "historic" hotel, the facilities are in bad need of repair and upgrades. The shower, for me was lukewarm, but my husband's was fine, but the shower head makes it nearly impossible to shower comfortably for me, as a six-foot-tall woman. The toilets are low flow and very, very low to the ground.

The staff was wonderful. They were very accommodating and friendly. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever found. We were told they are all new beds in these rooms. The views of the mountains are phenomenal, and it is considerably quiet, considering it is downtown. They have coffee always available. A simple breakfast of cereal, yogurt, and toast with orange juice and coffee is what you find in the morning. In the evening they have wine and cookies. The lobby is quaint and clean with stunning views of the mountains, a TV, and newspapers to read. It is in walking distance of the Nugget, capital building, and various other attractions. It also has underground parking and security cameras everywhere. We are looking forward to coming for another stay and seeing our new Hardman House friends again.

The only thing I didn't care for was the no pet policy. I like traveling with my cat and truly miss his company when he is not around. I do understand the need for this type of policy. After all, not everyone's pets are as well behaved as well as mine.

The room was nice, roomy enough, basic but good. The staff was super nice and the location is great.

Housekeeping never came, even though we put the housekeeping sign on the door. So we had one lousy packet of coffee the first morning and never got more. They didn't make the beds or empty the trash or anything. There was a lightbulb missing...but they replaced it when we asked. The breakfast was the most minimal possible.

Friendly and helfpul staff - the breakfast started early, which was VERY practical and only time of our whole trip we had that, especially when we had to leave very early to enjoy Lake Tahoe in the summer with its crowd. I liked the raisin cinnamon bread and the cereals - the parking, outside and underground - the elevator (from the hall and the underground parking) - the room had plenty space - comfortable bed - we walked 5min to order and take our dinner to go - fridge in the room

The creepy stained looks in the hallway to our room - we had a pb with the tv one night (but it fixed itself the day after)

Room was comfortable and clean. Elevator to the parking garage was a great help. Staff was Very nice! Wine and cookies were fun. Very pleasant atmosphere in the lobby.

Breakfast was fine, would have liked cream cheese for the english muffins and boiled eggs though. Did not like the styrofoam coffee cups and flimsy plastic cups. The bathroom fan was VERY loud.

This hotel is an excellent value for the traveler. It is independently owned and the operators definately try harder. Our room was very clean and neat, and, while it is an older building it is centrally located and well maintained, there have also been many recent renovations and updates. Well worth taking a look at if staying in the area.

Staff was helpful getting us more pillows.

The staff did not have confirmation that I already paid through Booking.com and charged me when I checked in(I had forgotten how it was setup). I checked and then had to go back and get them to reverse the charge which took extra unnecessary time and effort.
