We stayed in the King suite which had a huge king bed a single and a single trundle bed. Although it is an old building the room was updated with central air which kept it a very comfortable cool temp during the week of extreme heat warnings. The beds were very comfortable. The mini fridge was much larger than typical and had its own top freezer which kept our cooler ice packs perfect. The beach is only a block and a half away. The best part is they provide beach tags, chairs, towels, and umbrellas free! The staff are super friendly. And we had a very good lunch at the restaurant. Oh yea and street parking right in front of the hotel is free!

The true continental breakfast was more than adequate. Coffee, juice, milk, water, muffins, coffee cake, cereal , bagels, oatmeal, granola bars and yogurt decorated the breakfast table. Our room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The bonus for anyone enjoying the beach is that beach badges, chairs and umbrellas are available free of charge. Our golden retriever, Cooper, said this was his favorite place to stay.

The only thing I would recommend is a sand wash off area before entering the hotel. But, I'm guessing, residual water could cause a slip/fall once entering the lobby.

Great location - close to the beach. The room was well stocked, clean and met our needs. The beach passes including use of umbrellas, chairs, etc. was a nice perk. The only thing I would note is that I didn’t see this specified anywhere on the website (I may have missed it). It would have been good to know so I didn’t pack those supplies. I also appreciated that there was a non-dairy option for milk which is often overlooked.

Room was a little dark but nothing to complain about. Just would have preferred a little more light.

The room was somewhat clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and pleasant and helpful. The hotel was for the most part, clean and conveniently located.

Fire alarm went off at 5:00 am one morning. No announcement was made as to the status of the alarm and our safety. The building is old and a bit noisy. The room was a bit small. Bathroom sink was outside the bathroom. We did not realize the hotel was pet friendly. We weren't expecting to encounter dogs in the hotel. We were wondering if pets were permitted in every room of the hotel! Also, there was a private event being hosted at the hotel which limited our access to some amenities. The restaurant was closed. The room was a bit pricy for a short stay in October.

The continental breakfast was as expected that is, cereal, breads, yogurts, etc. I was surprised that they had a refrigerator in the room since this was not advertised on their site as one of their amenities. In fact, Maureen who was great, realized only after we inquired indirectly about refrigerating our perishables (which we thought we could place in a communal space) that her previous guests' inquiries led her to the realization that this item was not on her website. She said that she would add this to her hotel's website. The hotel itself had this old-world charm which added to the ambiance. We had breakfast on the veranda which afforded plenty of space to the guests. We never felt confined or crowded. And of course, the staff was great; both Maureen and Patty were always accommodating to every request. I also was pleasantly surprised that the hotel offered both beach towels and beach chairs. That was really unexpected. And of course, the hotel supplied badges which were required to show monitors before being permitted to enter the beach area.

I struggled with answering this question because everything was really great. I can't really add anything except something really of minor importance: perhaps they can bring the pot of decaf coffee from the area next to the kitchen which is all the way in the back and place it alongside the regular coffee decanter in the front since you always needed to ask the front office in the AM if the decaf was available.

It’s a beautiful Victorian hotel w/ a huge front porch that was nice to sit on w/ a cup of coffee. It is a hop skip and a jump from the beach (2 short blocks), and it is well kept. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There is a restaurant on site (byob), and they serve a continental breakfast w/ your stay. The staff were all amazing—they were so helpful, welcoming, and, friendly. There’s something about that which makes it special. I will definitely be returning.

It’s on a main road that doesn’t have crosswalks. I parked across the street and felt like I was playing frogger every time I had to cross the road. In a way, it added adventure to my relaxing weekend.

The staff were so very accommodating and friendly. The place was very conveniently located. The building is beautiful. The porch and dining rooms were beautiful. The complimentary beach badges and beach equipment was such a nice bonus. We really liked the toiletries pouches to reduce waste and plastics. There was housekeeping service if desired. There was coffee, water and tea available in the lobby all day. We liked the King Suite set up with the extra bed to sleep 3.

The breakfast was fine but the only option for Gluten Free was a hardboiled eggs which consistently had a large grey ring around the yolk. The mattresses could use replacing. The single bed in the King suite was severely broken down and I had trouble sleeping because it made my back hurt. There were not enough horizontal surfaces for suitcase/charging etc. but these were sacrificed for the 2nd bed space.

The location is excellent and very close to Point Pleasant shops and boardwalk. The beach is beautiful and has a private feel, not crowded at all. The staff are so friendly, fun, and accommodating. Free use of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, bikes! The room was clean and comfortable and the elevator is a very rare find for a shore inn. Short walk to eateries and a few shops. We plan to come again and again!

Street parking (which is common). Coffee wasn’t great. Porch is beautiful, but comfortable seating was limited as it was mostly dining chairs.

The staff was amazing and so hospitable. They wanted your stay to be great and were helpful with answering questions and making suggestions.

The room was a little cramped for 2 adults and 2 teens. It would of been better if our girls were younger. I think adding this in the description for the rooms would help. But that said, we loved staying here and would definitely do it again.
