My girlfriend & I were only there one night so I can't really elaborate on too many things. I found the staff to be pleasant & accomodating. The beds were comfortable. The price was reasonable compared to some of the other hotels in the area. While I have no complaints, If I were going to stay longer than a night or two & spend more time in the room I don't have much other than price to recommend the place. According to their web site there are renovations planned for this year & may still be in progress. Our room was not representative of the pictures on the site but I will stress .that we didn't choose the place based on that but more on location , price & availability The Amethyst is an older mom & pop type place so I wasn't expecting too much & what they had met our needs which were mostly a clean comfortable to sleep & shower.

The were up -charges for things like parking on the motels lot & other things such as arrival after , I believe, 6 pm which I was not aware of until I had already made the arrangements.

Check in and parking went smoothly. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, professional, super responsive, and trustworthy. I felt they cared about us and that is rare! I really felt right at home. Poolside is pleasant so are the people. There's an outdoor open air shower to rinse off. Access is simple.

The pool has too much chlorine smell for swimming for my liking. I prefer a salt water pool but our plans were last minute. Yet the pool area is pleasant and the neighbors are too.

This is my third stay here, I love the location and it's close to the beach and boardwalk. The ladies in the office are so nice, very pleasant and check in/check out time is quick. housekeeping always ask if there's anything you need. pool and patio areas are clean. I highly recommend this motel.

Location was awesome. Only a block away from the beach/boardwalk. Customer service was excellent. She even suggested the apartment that happened to be available and it was actually the best choice. I was able to check-in before usual time which was a huge help especially since I was traveling with children. I would definitely recommend the stay. It’s small and a bit outdated (could use some sprucing up) but that’s minimal If what you’re looking for is a quiet, clean, close to the main attraction place to stay.

It wasn't walking distance to any restaurants or liquor store. It looks like the facility at one time had a bar/restaurant. It would be beneficial if they would open that space up again. That’s the only thing really missing.

location, price, very nice staff, bed was super comfortable, clean. On the initial drive up and walk to the room, the motel looked a bit run down. but the room was really clean and had everything we needed. Who needs a fancy room that cost a lot of $$ when you have a comfortable bed and clean room and bathroom?!!

door was hard to get open, but staff helped get the door unlocked. no problem after that.

THE closest motel to Jenkinson's boardwalk on Point Pleasant beach, I love coming to The Amethyst Motel! I love a good decent no-fuss motel experience, atmosphere is very friendly and homey, owners and staff are what make the place feel clean and safe, for families of all sizes, there is a pool and free breakfast 10-minute walk to the njtransit train and local stores and restaurants, worth the stay every time!!

the Motel is aged and outdated but under renovation!! Despite that, this motel has that classic jersey shore motel feel that feels like home!

Coffee and muffins and cold iced water were provided each morning. There were adequate chairs, umbrella tables and chairs and lounges on the pool deck. The staff were super. Plenty of towels. Small refrigerator and microwave in the room. We were able to check in and park prior to check in time. Short walk to the boardwalk and beach.

Although the property was older, it was very clean and facilities, such as the pool, were excellent. Parking was provided.

The lady at check-in was very friendly and warm welcoming. The fact that they served breakfast. The muffins were very delicious. Close access to the beach.

Everything was good about the place, but I found the beds to be a little too hard for sleeping.

Location is perfect for the beach and boardwalk and I could walk to a few restaurants and a Stop NShop a couple of blocks away

Love the coffee in the morning,. Wish they could bring back the 🥯 bagels.

The location is spot on! The rooms were clean and the staff was beyond hospitable.

It's a typical Jersey Shore beach hotel/ motel. It could use a little updating and just some general upkeep.
