This is an historic Route 66 motel, updated with modern fixtures and eclectic decor. It is located in the Nob Hill area fairly close to the U. New Mexico campus, which is a good location as there are multiple restaurants and other establishments of interest. Unfortunately the area has urban problems related to homelessness but it seems reasonably safe. The room itself was fine; bed was comfortable, nice shower, etc. Sound insulation to adjacent rooms could have been better, got treated to a whoopee-making session next door. The occupants were obviously young as it lasted a long time. Overall though the property was cool and I'd stay there again.

A bit noisy on a Saturday night. A lot of loud vehicles passing by, but that isn't something under management control, but is the nature of the area. As mentioned previously, sound insulation between rooms is less that desirable with noisy neighbors. In my case, it was a a bit of irritation for 20 minutes or so. It could have been a lot worse. There was also some noise from the pool area, but that died out fairly early and was not a problem.

From the moment we drove up to the hotel to when we checked out, it was a great experience. It reminded me of a themed hotel. We loved it! The staff was amazing at the front desk. The hotel design was awesome. The amenities are great. It even had a speakeasy to relax after a hard day. The room was comfortable and their bathrobes were super comfortable. There was even an option to buy the bathrobes at the front desk. The use of technology for the hotel room door made it feel safer and the checkout process was completed with a text. The experience was unique and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't buy the bathrobe before we left at 7:30 am due to the front desk not being available until 8:30 am. However we plan on going back in the next couple of months so we will get one then!

The hotel was ideally situated in Albuquerque for our trip between Arizona and Colorado. We did not expect much and were blown away by this little gem. The hotel is a renovated roadside hotel with a bunch of unexpected amenities, from the locally sourced bathroom soaps/lotions to the very comfy robes and "secret" speakeasy. The bed was very comfortable and afforded us a much needed rest during our road trip. The area was walkable, and there were plenty of restaurants and cafes around the hotel.

The pool was closed. This is totally understandable as it was end of December, but a nice soak in a warm pool or hot tub would have made this experience supreme.

Nice remodeled motel with a lot of pride of ownership and unique perks ex the swimming pool and popsicle happy hour. Cool location. We were able to walk to a great Italian restaurant, little movie house and a fantastic waffle place for breakfast the next morning

This sounds petty and I get that... but hopefully as this motel succeeds some of the basic " bone structure" problems underlying the nice, new renovations will get addressed. Ex., a nice shower head in a shower that at first glance looks pretty but in fact is overlying really shabby craftsmanship with respect to tiling, grout and caulking. Additionally, please consider putting shampoo, etc in bottles that you can actually squeeze the contents out of. It took 2 of us to get the thick conditioner out of the tiny bottle. And please consider a larger font saying what was in the bottles. I had to get out of the shower, find my reading glasses then still had difficulty differentiating shampoo from conditioner and gel.

Really fun and creative/artsy vibe - perfect for an updated motel on Rte 66. The room was clean and comfortable. Great and helpful staff and lovely owner. Nice little touches, and fun speakeasy.

They have done a great job updating this place and are working hard to create a youthful and fun vibe, but it hasn't been maintained. The grounds are not maintained - lots of weeds in the parking lot and in the yard. The fun paint is peeling and fading. Feels a little tired and unloved.

The concept and the overall look of the place was very interesting and enjoyable. The staff was welcoming. The pool was very clean and the pool area was delightful. The room was very clean and well decorated. I liked that there was no carpet. The pillows were great. The lounge was comfortable and fun, but I paid $16 for a shot of tequila and a half glass of sparkling water (is that normal for Albuquerque?)

The bed had a standard motel mattress, not comfortable, and I had to keep turning to keep my back from hurting. The coffee was substandard even though it was a pod machine -- maybe the worst I've had in a long time. I brought my own but had no way to heat water. The coffee maker was under a shelf and difficult to access. I had to use my phone's flashlight to see what I was doing. The bathroom window was not closed all the way. I had difficulty but got it closed; however, the wind howled through it all night.

It was a great room! Loved the lighting and dimmers! The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I was looking forward to the pool but the weather was cold! Imagine that!

I didn't have anywhere to work or set up my laptop. There isn't a lounge here and there wasn't a desk in my room. This part of Central Ave is still not my favorite. Stayed downtown because my son wanted to stay somewhere hip!

Comfort, beautiful, fun, great walking distance to food...you have to try the clown hot dog place.

$10 parking and not a lot of parking places open. You can hear the motorcycles and cars reving their engine up until 11 at night and then I slept like a baby until a lady in the parking lot started screaming and swearing at about midnight, but it was brief and back to bed. Running the a/c cuts out alot of sound until it quietens down and then zero sounds while you sleep.

Sharmin was extraordinary and ensured I had info on their guest events and that my stay was excellent! The Z Lounge Speakeasy was a nice getaway from the reality and heaviness for my stay visiting my sister for her palliative chemo. Bree the massage therapist in the Spa was fantastic and loved the art! I would 100% recommend Zazz, their stellar staff, and would definitely return for another stay when in Albuquerque.

Non dairy creamer options for the coffee. The only negative and really wasn’t that negative.

I love how close it is to all of the restaurants and shops. It's an adorable place with a lot of character and color. The pool was really nice as well. I loved the Keurig in our room! As well as the cute fridge and microwave.

The parking was a little iffy. Our room was in front of a handicapped parking spot. We didn't really have a parking spot of our own, but it wasn't a big issue. I parked in the handicapped spot to unload and then parked in a spot right across from our room that was available.
