The location of this property is fantastic! Almost right in the middle of town so you can walk everywhere within 15min (that being the farthest), Red River BC is about 9 minute walk away, and the other bars & restaurants like 5-7 minutes. It’s a quaint little “lodge” type room, the amenities aren’t your typical fancy hotel quality, but here in Red River we wanted the classic winter ski lodge feeling. Made us feel right at home & like we were nestled in the mountains. The room itself didn’t have much, but you won’t be spending much time in the room anyway! The area is absolutely beautiful and we loved Red River. Everything was clean & comfy for our weekend stay. The staff was extremely friendly during check-in & check-out was a breeze! I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a nice stay over the weekend for a great deal.

Great place for the money, but the lack of air-conditioning was a little difficult. The room was very adequate and the kitchen area was very well appointed. Overall the experience was great. We spent most of the day outdoors and left the windows open at night to allow cool air to flow throughout the room. The staff did provide a floor fan to help circulate the air flow. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
No air conditioning, but open windows provided good air flow.

We love staying here because the location is central to many of the places we eat and shop. It is more nestled in the back so it’s quiet when you’re ready to retreat. There is a road I like to walk up that is located near the back of the lodge. The rooms are well insulated so we have never heard our neighbors. The rooms are clean and basic provisions are accommodated during your stay should you need them.
The room we stayed in this time only has a shower and for the adults it was kinda hard to get rinsed off well because of shower space. The internet was not reliable for some reason this time.

Great price!! The bed was comfortable and we slept well!! That is what we wanted so this suited our needs. Refrigerator didn't have a freezer, so that we a bit unexpected as most small frigs have a freezer, but this one doesn't. Would definitely stay here again.
It would be helpful to see that there is no freezer as I had planned to have some frozen stuff. Also the edges of the rooms are a bit dirty and could use a good vacuuming.

Very nice and helpful staff. We will be staying at this lodge when we visit Red River next year but will be booking directly with the lodge since we can obtain a military discount if we book directly rather than through Bookings. We really appreciated the information binder in the room that provided information about local restaurants, hiking trails, and other activities.
Our only complaint about our stay was the small bars of soap. We decided to buy a full size bar of soap at the local grocery store.

Deer Lodge is perfectly located on the main road in Red River. The staff was extremely kind throughout the visit. The rooms are rustic in nature but perfect for those who will spend a majority of their trip doing activities outside of the room. They have added an outdoor game room since my last visit that would have been excellent to use during the summer months and the linens in the room were clean and everything was in working order. I look forward to staying here again.
I can’t think of anything. The property even had snow shovels available for use after a major snow storm. They kept the interior driveway cleared as well throughout our stay.

The staff is extremely friendly and gives service that most others lack. The room is good for a getaway. The bed is more stiff than I like but that is a preference. Everything you need to keep you exploring the town and relax when needed.
For the times that it pours down raining or later at night a tv would be nice in the living room/kitchen. I also like to watch while cooking.

Location to town and the park where the bike event began. Ground floor entry. The size of the refrigerator and microwave.
I wish there had been AC, the ceiling fan and stand alone fan just didn't cool the room enough even with the window open. The ceiling fan was noisy. No hangers in the closet. I couldn't figure out the remotes to watch TV, I am not techy, simple instructions on which buttons to push on which remote would be helpful.

I stayed here before so obviously I like it. Friendly management. Great town. Not fancy, but good value Lot s of restaurants, bars and things to do. The river is about a block away. Only problem is the Internet is terrible, however you can go to the library and get on line for free.
The Internet was really slow

The location was great, and the room was a very good size for 3 people and a large dog. It has the capacity for more people, but for us we did not feel crowded. The kitchen was well equipped too. We are already looking to return someday.
For us, we were fine with the level the room was equipped, but if someone expects luxury (ie box fan instead of A/C) then this is not the place for you.
