I think Booking did us a favor by having this property on its list! This place is not a typical hotel experience, it's much more and if you stay, you will understand why! Amazing Location, a place where you do get the peace a quiet travelers are looking for, and you get to choose, and enjoy your own breakfast!!

If it's your 1st time to Taos, trust your GPS, ours tried to take us down a road that didn't exist, and we couldn't think of any reason to tell future people who read this post, a thing we didn't like!

Beautiful, quiet location in historic La Loma Plaza. Courteous and helpful staff. Well-appointed and comfortable room, lined with books and decorated extensively (this is Taos, after all). Includes breakfast, which has a wide variety of options. The strata we had on Sunday was delicious!

No real complaints. One caveat for travelers is that the rooms are upstairs and accessible only via stairs. Also, the rooms use physical keys, so don't lose your key!

We loved our stay. The grounds are beautiful -- it feels like an oasis of green in the city. The New Mexico style of the room was inviting and comfortable, with extra touches like wine glasses. The daily special entree for breakfast was always good, and added a special touch. Pre-ordering breakfast worked out well -- we could get what we wanted from a varied menu. The dining area was very nice. I appreciated the workout facility and being close to the Plaza.

Our mini-fridge seemed to overheat in the cabinet and didn't get cold enough to keep food.

Breakfast was fresh, delicious, timely, and unique. The owner personally prepared our breakfasts with freshly baked bread and other goodies. The fruit was flavorful and plentiful, and the meal was included in our stay. Each room is different, with eclectic furnishings and styles. The owner of the inn has a wonderful back story and is delightful to talk with.

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Hummingbird and Peggy were wonderful. They were helpful and gracious!! Great location and service. The bed was so comfortable and the Garden room was spacious and there were beautiful grounds. Breakfast offered many delicious options and beyond expectations. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great!!

This historic property is so beautiful. Very Taos! It’s fairly easy to imagine it as a home for a large family, although it was not, in reality. The current owner and her late husband did expand it, in a completely complimentary manner. It is such a charming and unique place I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when in Taos.

The breakfast was wonderful. The baked goods were fresh and homemade and the egg dishes were unique and delicious. Our Sky room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

We had not been told that there were 16 steps up to the first floor and another 16 steps of narrow stairs to our Sky bedroom. We are 75 years old, and getting our suitcases to the room and back down was very difficult. The young man who checked us in did not offer to help.

Peggy and her staff went out of their way for us and made special accomodations for the person in my party who had just had knee surgery and for my friend who was suddenly without a room at another hotel when they had to close due to a water main break. Breakfast was delicious each day.

The location is excellent -- a short walk to the plaza, with the art museum even closer. It is very quiet and beautiful. The owner, Peggy, is wonderful -- very attentive and kind. She gave us great advice on where to eat and cooked a delicious breakfast. The breakfast is plentiful and very delicious, served in a sunroom full of light and plants. Our room was lovely, with a couch, a working fire place (with the fire all set up, with matches and a fire starter and extra logs) and we had a private balcony (although it was too cold to spend time out there). Bed was super comfortable and we loved the multiple shower heads and cute cactus tiles in the bathroom! There is lots of nice and comfortable common space with a nice 1930's-ish vibe, and a pile of videos and dvds you can bring to your home, including a whole selection of children's books and videos.

we absolutely loved our stay!! the property was steeped in history which made the stay extra special - but our hosts were amazing also. Always had great recommendations of activities for the family abs the breakfasts were home made and delicious Such a treat after our basic hotel breakfasts of we’d had before arriving. also the location is perfect, it is only a five minute walk in to the plaza for shopping, visiting museums and dining. Taos is a beautiful town with so much to see and do and amazing restaurants.
