The hotel is in the PERFECT location for events, like the annual Indian Market. I could walk to everything and was right at the edge of all the activities. It's really in the best location. My room was really comfortable, but the lighting needs to be updated. Other than this, there was plenty of room and it was quiet. Really enjoyed this place.
the lighting in the room is dim. they have "candle" fixtures which don't provide decent light, especially in the bathroom/sink area. the lighting was pretty bad. Other than this, it was a bit dated in the room, but since I wasn't in there much, it didn't make much difference. Trying to put on makeup, etc., with the lighting was a struggle.

This is a charming hotel in the heart of Santa Fe. The staff was always available and accommodating. The bed was so comfortable. The Plaza is half a block away. It is not fancy but rather has great, authentic character. It has a mid-century, route 66, southwestern vibe. We got a Junior suite and the size and price could not be beat for the location and charm.
Maybe pay just a bit more attention to some small cosmetic things like steaming the curtains to take out the pronounced wrinkles and an unwrinkled shower curtain. If you simple oiled the lovely wooden furniture, that would help aesthetics.

Awesome location, furnished balcony was an added plus especially with the awesome weather. Clean. Friendly staff. Private parking garage was nice as well.
Small room and very small bathroom. The entrance to the room starts with a steep flight of stairs, this made carrying luggage a little challenging. We did visit the Eldorado a sister property and felt the front desk was a little rude when we told them we were there to enjoy the rooftop. They indicated it was closed until we read the text to them that it was open until 10pm.

We were really looking for not a typical commercial hotel and this place was so perfect. Our room had so much space for our dog and baby. The front desk staff was very sweet and helpful, housekeeping worked fast and the room was very clean. Loved the robes and the other bathroom toiletries. Our room was through the courtyard which is so cute and unique and it was stunning at night. We got drinks at the bar (the bartenders were kind and nice to talk to) and sat on the front porch of the hotel each night. You’re right next to so many restaurants to pick from. The parking garage was great for our big SUV. Seriously, everything was perfect and we hope to come back here one day.

The property has a traditional and historic feel that fits perfectly into the Santa Fe vibe.... The staff was exceptional. Our room was clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the in room wood burning fireplace one evening and enjoyed cocktails we were able to bring up from the bar...Our 3 night stay exceeded expectations and we will definitely be back again, and next time we will bring our dog!
$30 daily "amenity fee." There are really no amenities to speak of, so consider it a daily parking fee if you drove a vehicle and the availability of lobby coffee and packaged cookies in the morning hours. There are 2 sister properties, which we were told you can use their small gyms and other facilities if you want to walk the few blocks...

I loved everything about the property. It's unique and encapsulates the spirit of Santa Fe. The rooms were clean and homey. I love the wood-burning fireplaces and the fact that you could use the gyms and pools at the sister properties. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I was able to text to request things such as late check out, wood-burning fire, wine glasses for the room. They were very responsive and helpful
I loved everything. Some people might find it to be a little bit dated but I think that makes it charming.

No breakfast to speak of, they do have coffee in the morning, a bowl of fruit. In the afternoon there is usually a plate of cookies. The parking is underground, well lighted, a very nice perk! The location is unbeatable. Hundreds of shops and dozens of restaurants/cafes/coffee shops within easy walking distance. The French Pastry Shop at La Fonda was our favorite for breakfast!
Not a complaint but a warning. If you want a huge suite and beautiful views this not the place for you. If you want a cozy, homey atmosphere with friendly staff, a comfortable bed and fabulous places to eat and shop then don't overlook this hotel. We loved it!

The location was fabulous and the ambiance also quite nice. Staff were friendly and helpful as we were checking in and during our stay. The adjacent bar/pizza restaurant were a nice place for a nightcap, or to just have a low key dinner at the property. Having the front sitting room separate from the bedroom was a nice plus, even though we didn't have anyone over for a drink. It would be a big sales point if we were traveling with others. The bed was really comfortable.
The bathroom was really small, although adequate. Made it difficult for both of us to shower and get ready to go out at the same time. The drapes were dark and either open or closed, which made the room dark. Also, there were a few stairs up to our room. Not an issue for us, but could be for some.

Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe was a fantastic place to stay . We have stayed several times over the past few years. The location can't be beat and the staff is friendly and ready to help with anything that arises. The rooms are spacious and clean. We love to hang out in the inner courtyard in the evenings to play cards. it is a lovely space filled with flower pots and hanging ristras . The hotel is a short walk to the plaza, many restaurants as well as shopping and landmarks.

This hotel has grasped the nature of the Santa Fe vibe. The rooms are quintessential New Mexico and ours had a nice fireplace, although the temps were warm and we didn't use it. The room was nicely decorated and clean, and provided both a sitting area and sleeping areas. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The on site bar had a generous pour, and we took advantage of the small area of outside seating on a beautiful day. It is very centrally located in downtown Santa Fe.
Our room showed a little age, and the bathroom was quite small, but it met our basic needs.
