This place was busling busy with conventions and weddings all through the 5 days we spent, but it didn’t effect the individualized personal attention we received. Accommodation for hundreds of people is challenging in itself but while catering to the larger events and parties while still exhibiting excellent personalized customer service to the remaining guests was an arduous task that they accomplished here at the Crown Plaza of Albany. Mr. D’s Restaurant and bar was perfect, the food delicious even the 2 time we got breakfast to go! My son lives near by in Guilderland, whom we were visiting. When we consider our next visit we shall surely return to the Crown Plaza for a wonderful stay! I highly recommend…a little pricey but worth the pampering…thinly down side was swimming pool closure during a heat wave…but otherwise extraordinary visit…staff was very helpful and friendly! We went to a wedding reception at the Desmond Crowne Plaza and stayed after overnight! The venue is a perfect one for such! The reception staff were beyond excellent! Our food was very good but the best were the servers! Bravo! Our room (375)was very clean, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet! This room is at the end of a long hallway so bring your walking shoes. In the morning, we had an excellent hotel breakfast with family . A 5* review!

We had dinner at the restaurant, which was lovely. I had the salmon salad based on the server's recommendation. The dressing was perfect, and he was correct. My friend enjoyed her shrimp appetizer and lobster bisque, but the bread pudding was excellent. I had to take the shuttle very early for my flight, and everything went smoothly from the wake-up call to catching the shuttle and arriving at the airport on time!

Staff! Very helpful and super friendly! I liked the water station at the registration desk. I liked the shower height.

The bed was not as firm as I would like. The coffee maker needs bottled water. The sink water is strongly chlorinated. The coffee in the restaurant was terrible. Go with Green Mountain Coffee Dark Magic. More flavorful. And doesn't taste watery..The shower water pressure was weak. More expensive than other hotels. I will probably explore other locations to compare against. But I am willing to try another visit just because of the staff.

This place is great if you want to get away and disconnect. I was here for a training close by and everything was accessible in like 10 minutes (by car)…

We had to remind them that they didn’t clean our room one day of the four days we were there. And the guy serving us breakfast was a little unfriendly. But it didn’t disrupt our day.

We thought Kim was just awesome as was Justin at the restaurant! Bartender at night (blonde) was super! Everyone we encountered were top notch service!!! The fiddle leaf fig trees in garden area were so gorgeous! Peaceful stay!

The room was clean, the staff was nice and the facility was beautiful. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious.

Overall the stay was good, and the bad things are just nitpicks. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but not unbearable by any means. The restaurant was a bit expensive, but perhaps for the area this is common. The bathroom lighting was very harsh, and it seemed like there was no bathroom fan running.

My daughter and I enjoyed our one night stay here. The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and well maintained. The room had everything we needed for the night. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good! We enjoyed hanging out by the Koi pond. We only stayed one night, but I would definitely come and stay here again.

Convenient to the airport, and leaving the city early morning. It was also nice having a restaurant in house with a late arrival at night.

Clerk changed our room since original room he said was quite a long walk to get to. He put us in a room at the front of the hotel next to the elevator. I dinged till 2 am with people coming up from the bar.

After traveling for 6 hours it was so nice to have a full service restaurant in house open ( open late into the evening) with a good selection from appetizers to entrees. We loved not haveing to leave the hotel in search of dinner. Also again having a hearty breakfast before getting on the road was a wonderful amenity. The staff at the front desk and the entire restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.
