Nice staff, very clean

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and it was amazing from start to finish. I arrived very early due to having a red eye flight and my bags were stored in storage until it was time to check in. I was also able to partake in the grab and go breakfast service even though I had not checked in yet. The breakfast was amazing. Various hot and cold items that were perfect to get your day started. The guy at the counter on the morning of 27th August 2024 was very welcoming. The location is perfect. The B1 bus stops right in front of the hotel as well as the X28 which offers minimal stops to Manhattan. There is a train station, 86th St, less than 10 minutes from the hotel. There are various food, retail stores and banks nearby. The room itself is very clean and has exactly what you need. The space was veryyyy thought out. I loved the lights specifically on the bathroom mirror for doing makeup. I opted out of the daily housekeeping as I was there for a short time and it was not a necessity for me. All members of staff were VERY courteous and ready to help. Thank you Venus for assisting me with putting on my bracelet lol. It was a truly amazing and unforgettable stay as it was my first time solo traveling. The entire stay was comfortable and I cannot wait to stay again. Thank you all for your amazing service. S. The hotel is a 1/2 hr Uber taxi drive from Newark Airport. The New York Subway MTA is a 10-15 min walk to 86 St and 4th Avenue R Station. Lots of restaurants on the walk to the subway station. There is also a bus running on 86 St. The breakfast is a step above continental because you get boiled eggs or omelette. Coffee is on 24-7. The hotel is a 6 storey building. The staff are very friendly and from varied cultures which was interesting to learn a little bit about where they were born. We stayed at the hotel in the last 2 weeks of Mar 2024.

Every time you turned on the TV there was a message asking if you liked your stay. A bit annoying.

It was new and updated the room was clean and nice and cozy

The only problem is that when I take off the top sheets I saw a long piece of hair which made me think twice about the sheets

A real hidden gem of a hotel tucked way down on the border of Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. Very affordable, in a great location (Bay Ridge is apparently the safest neighbourhood in the city), with plenty of food options and the subway within walking distance. Excellent rooms which were spotless, really nice staff and a decent breakfast.

Everything was great, nothing to dislike.

I chose this hotel because it was new and had great ratings. It turned out to be really good, though it was some way from the main International railway station. Food was just over the road. I'd stay there again.

Everything was great. My only criticism is that when I asked for a taxi to be called they used a preferred local service. The driver refused to take a credit card and said it had to be cash. The fixed fare to the train station started at $US 45 and ended at $60. This of course was not about the hotel itself - it's just a warning to others who might need a taxi.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The location was great, it took close to an hour to get to mid-town Manhattan on the subway but on the flip side there were plenty of food and shopping options in the neighbourhood. The area was also nice and clean. A complimentary breakfast was also included. Room service was daily. The washroom was clean and spacious. The double beds were huge and very comfortable for two people. The TV had chrome cast and good tv stations which was also great. All day complimentary water, tea and coffee machines were a great bonus. The wifi had a good service.

The rooms could have been a little bigger, they were very snug and it was difficult for two people to pass each other around the bed. The breakfast was nice but I wish it had more seating and more food options. There were boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, coffee/tea, apples, so it wasn't bad, but definitely could have been more. The drinks and water machine got a little murky towards the end of my stay but I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the machines and later got fixed.

I was obsessed with how comfortable the bed was!!! It felt like a cloud. Unfortunately, the pillows felt a bit too soft but overall it was extremely needed to sleep on such an amazing bed. I loved that there were water fountains to fill up water bottles. I loved how quick check-in was.

I did not like the garage set-up! I was charged $30 for parking in an underground tight cage. We couldn't get out until the front desk was contacted to open the gate. Just ridiculous. Why isn't there a motion sensor that opens that gate? I didn't like that the front desk guy questioned me about adding another name to the room. He said it wasn't necessary. I've never heard of that from a hotel. The breakfast area could have been more sanitary! There were no tongs to pick up muffins so I assume guests used their hands.

Everything was great. The hotel was very new and clean and had everything we needed. Good location and a great nights sleep. Downstairs had coffee, water free all day.

I had an excellent 4-day stay at this hotel. The room, though small with double beds, was comfortable and cleaned daily. Towels were delivered within 5 minutes of ordering. Avid provided exceptional service, ensuring I felt at home. The wholesome breakfast was a great start to each day. The hotel's location is convenient, with a restaurant across the road, a movie theatre a mile away, and close proximity to Target, Kohl’s, and a pizza spot. Despite initial concerns about parking, there was always space available close to the hotel. Highly recommended!
