I liked the peacefulness, the grand sense of each room and how the each bring you back to another place and time of charm and opulence. I loved being able to sit on a sofa in the parlor and read a book from their collection and look up at the large old family portraits and envision myself being among the spirits of those who long ago walk the same halls, although it was built not that long ago. The new owners are working very diligently to bring beauty, life and love into this wonder of the woods and everyone should take the time to pause and take in the charms of their efforts. From the graceful wallpapers to the elegantly woven rugs, the owners are placing old world charm at every eye level. I was in Heaven.

I was discouraged by the lack of training and professionalism displayed by the hotel and restaurant staff. In direct contrast to the style and luxury of the hotel, some of the staff were outright crass, disorganized, loud, and vulgar. I understand that many of them are return employees from past owner(s), however, they are the most interactive image that you have with your patrons. They can set the tone, and leave the taste with your customers on an experience, making them decide whether to return, refer or not. Please consider that in your hiring and training. Also, even if a pool may be closed, it should always be clean.

Location was wonderful! Quiet and beautiful, just what I was looking for on this trip. The Inn was lovely, staff was very friendly and attentive. The jacuzzi was amazing!!! Staff was super helpful with knowledge of the area. Food at Trapper's tavern was good and was gorgeous inside.

Could use a little update, although, I loved the charm of the decor. Only real problem was the bed was a little uncomfortable, maybe too soft mattress.

The Tavern Inn was delicious and the pool was wonderful and warm. I swam every day. The common areas are just beautiful and the staff, especially receptionist Carly was so friendly and helpful.

My only problem was with the bathtub. It is oval with a sliding glass door that blocked the narrow part of the oval opening to where it is thick. We tried and tried but I am 5’1 and 64 years old with knee implants and I could not get into the tub! Had to wash my hair in the sink and sponge bathe. If there had been a shower curtain I could have slid it all the way back and climbed in.

The stay at phoenix inn was great! Diana was extremely kind and accommodating making us feel very welcomed and cared for. The facilities were great, we utilized the sauna, gym, and outdoor hot tub which made out nights even better. The location is also great as it’s right next to a grocery store, some restaurants, and only a 5 minute drive from gore mountain. I would definitely go back and recommend phoenix inn to others

I recently took a trip there with my son for Gore Mountain skiing. I was looking for several hotels/Inns in and around North Creek. We booked Phoenix Inn because they gave us excellent rate (as compared to other hotels near by). This was our first trip there and we did not really know what to expect or how the hotel was going to be. The Phoenix Inn is super nice and beautiful, inside & outside. Our room was big and clean and had a mini-fridge inside. The staff is super friendly. The Manager/owner Diana is super nice!. She is always on-site, and even helps out in the restaurant. North Creek is very small town, so I really appreciated that Phoenix Inn had an on-site restaurant. The restaurant was awesome, and the food was great and reasonably priced. Phoenix Inn has outside pool and spa. The pool was closed for the winter, but Manager opened up the outside spa for quests to use. There is plenty of parking around the Inn. Phoenix Inn is just few minutes from Gore Mountain. It's an absolute perfect place to stay overnight and hit the slopes. Thank you Diana for an awesome stay! We'll definitely be back.

We liked everything in the hotel. But if there is one small thing that could be improved, is the room beds/mattresses. They were way too soft and uncomfortable to sleep in. But I'm sure eventually they'll upgrade their rooms :-)

All very sweet people work there Megan was great with communication and very helpful. Restaurant food was delicious and good drinks at a reasonable price.

Maybe the menu had a little more things to choose from maybe its me because I'm a chef idk lol

Just like all other lodging, wheelchair accessibility could be improved with a few simple and inexpensive items. #1 a Bariatric bedside commode over the toilet is much safer for your guest and reduces wear and tear on your toilet. #2 add a shower bench . #3install a bidet. The above items all together would cost about $300 and improve safety and comfort 10 fold

Terrific place in a fun little town. Reminded us of our time in Talkeetna, Alaska. Quaint, artsy, everything you need for a weekend stay. Walkable to good restaurants, bars, and great coffee (Sarah’s café). The Phoenix Inn staff was very accommodating and went the extra mile with coffee and fresh lemon water in the lobby, a rarity these days. Common sense Covid practices with an on-site tavern made this a terrific stop on our way through the Adirondacks. Pet friendly with owner’s permission. Pool still open too.

Loved it! Will definitely be going back. The only downside is that it is a bit far from main attractions . They have a lovely very little main street where you can walk to some restaurants and breakfast places.

Very helpful with room issues. Our room didn't have working AC, so they quickly got us a new room.
