Location, views of the Hudson, adjacent to a walking trail. At night the boat would sound their horns, but I was only awakened once. Nice, wide flooring throughout looking like french oak. Friendly staff.

Hallway is a maze (I got lost several times coming from my room to the lobby). I had dinner in on-site restaurant. A $40 hamburger where the meat fell apart (either too lean or grill not hot enough or the meat was overworked), the bottom bun was saturated with grease and the fries were cold. I could have complained to the restaurant, but did not

The Abbey Inn was really wonderful. The location can't be beat, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were beautiful. The room was pristine and very clean and modern. It was quiet and the temperature was perfect. We did not want to leave. I felt like a princess with the lovely toiletries and robes which were supplied. The on-site restaurant was a real treat, too. We will be back.

The property architecture and decoration, amazing one of a kind. the room with lot's of space, clean and beds very confortable.. staff so nice, professional. very nice view on the city and the lake. the outside spaces are just Wonderfull you can enjoy sitting in the gardens , enjoying the view, working or reading..I ate at the restaurant at it was veery delicious. the cocktails were perfect at the bar. all the staff extremely kind and professional. etc..

River view Premier King room was just that - Large and expansive with King Bed and River view. We liked the quiet vibe and outdoor seating with view of the Hudson - although not alot of seating and when we chose to venture out a large group had taken all of the seating (only 4 chairs). We did enjoy the quiet walks around the old Fort and the cemetery.

Staff was not forthcoming in explaining the AC problem the hotel was experiencing at the time we stayed - and it was very hot - 86 degrees. They installed AC units in the rooms (we didnt know why) and there was temp AC ducts hanging out fo the back of the building (very unsighlty). The AC unit in the window did not cool the room as well as central AIR - I was very hot... the pool was hard to find at first.

The building is amazing and the landscaping is gorgeous.

In that price, it would have been nice to have a pool/Jacuzzi a bit more amenities. The spa experience was inconsistent. One of us had the best massage with male massuer , the other had the worst massage. Again - super pricey so we expected no less than amazing. We also expected a bit more spa amenities in that price (there was only a dry sauna). Also - the AC window unit was noisy and the elevator was too slow.

Liked the large towels, the water in the room, comfort of bed, linens and space. At the restaurant, we liked that it wasn't buffet and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the price was right.

Prefer two sinks but bathroom was really nice. Breakfast was the only thing that had a few things I would change, the coffee wasn't really hot and the cup small and the busy waiter didn't offer to add to the cup. Also, we got unbuttered toast and no butter, the butter was shortly delivered but by then the toast was cold. We would have chosen multigrain bread anyway but odd that was all that was offered, others might have preferred another kind. Obviously minor issue.

Great location. Excellent staff. Fundamentally nice facilities.

The pool area was dirty and the worn. HOWEVER, I suspect this might be the responsibility of the condo association who seems to manage the shared pool. Also, the continued result of the lightening strike and loss the the AC, even with substitute window AC units, is an inconvenience. An explanation about the window AC units at check-in would have been appropriate.

Staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. We also had dinner and that was delicious. We enjoyed massages. Pricey but excellent. Would have liked a steam room but sauna was ok.

Entrance to spa from outside wasn’t spa like. Looked like a maintenance entrance. Better to enter from elevator. Wish bar had more bar snacks like rosemary nuts, olives, assorted cheeses or other bar type snacks.

Hotel was very lovely, so modern and fresh. Room was very comfortable and great view of the river

Only tiny con about the hotel was we checked in when we arrived just after 11am which was awesome that our room was ready early but when we got to the room it had not been cleaned - luckily there was some lovely cleaning staff on our floor at the time and they had the room cleaned within 15 minutes.

A luxurious hotel in a charming location, with a great view, a beautiful shower, comfortable beds, and a feeling of old and new together.

The booking on Booking.com somehow required two rooms for two people, which was confusing and required me to book two rooms and then cancel one.
