After a long international flight, a stay at the Hampton Inn NY-JFK was just what I needed to get over jet lag and refresh before my next flight. Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted me with a kind smile and was professional in helping me get checked in and answering questions I had regarding the facilities. In the morning, I had a delicious buffet-style continental breakfast which boasted a variety of foods and fresh, hot coffee. A stay at this hotel is like a warm hug after a long trip. You're guaranteed to be comfortable and well-taken care of while enjoying the amenities of home and more. I've stayed at other hotels in the area, but come back to Hampton Inn NY-JFK every year because of the exceptional service and phenomenal guest experience and services available. 100% recommend. Best of the Best and within my price range.

Good value for the area. The free airport shuttle is a huge benefit--it can save $50-60 on taxi costs to and from the airport. Picks up and drops you right off along the Air Train, so you miss huge amounts of traffic in and out of the airport and you can take the free Air Train to your terminal in just a few minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was fine, comfortable bed.

The hotel is kind of old and needs some TLC. For example, some of the elevator floor lights were burned out and not replaced and I had to slam my room door to get it to close properly. The parking lot is badly overcrowded so it's difficult for couriers or taxis to get to you.

Breakfast was fine. Shuttle was on time and staff fulfilled all I asked of them and more.Room was comfortable.

The hot water took at least 15 minutes to arrive after I turned on the tap. It would go from tepid to extremely cold but it got warm after about 15 minutes. I don’t know where the hot water is sourced from but I’m positive it is not close to room 717. Also one elevator was out of service for the 2 days we were there. With all the people coming and going.We ended up packed on the elevator way beyond normal. Saw no one working on the other elevator in 2 days. Normally I would just take the stairs but we were on the 7th floor. Old style TV, no apps.

Everything as explained, no surprises. Perfect place if you want to be close to the airport. Comfortable beds, you can order takeout, shuttle.is on time and reliable. (Keep in mind if you take the airtrain to go to the subway, you need to pay 8,5 usd for each person, better take a Uber to the subway than the shuttle if you are heading to the city).to and from the airport to the hotel, the airtrain is completely free. Breakfast is good with fresh waffles you can make for yourself, decent coffee.

Use of disposables for breakfast creates a lot of waste (big problem in general in the US). The apples at breakfast were not edible

We were greeted on arrival by a male member of staff who was very helpful. We explained we had an early flight and he kindly booked us on the 4am Shuttle bus to the Airport. The shuttle service was very good as they pick you up right outside the hotel and took us to Terminal 8 at JFK The Bar opened at 5pm which was a bonus as we had not eaten,. We both had a club sandwich which was very good. As well as a few glassed of wine. The staff were very helpful. We had tea in our room . We had a very early flight so didn't manage to have breakfast.

Nothing we didn't like.

Perfect for JFK and a night or two in NY if in transit. Staff were exceptionally helpful, both when we checked in after midnight and in checking out and needing help to store luggage, get advice on taxis etc. Shout out to Kandy in particular. Thank you so much. There’s a regular hotel shuttle to and from AirTrain stop to JFK. Drivers so helpful. Breakfast to suit the traveller in a rush.

It’s really close to JFK but takes time to get to between getting the air train to the hotel shuttle area and then a convoluted drive around the outskirts of JFK. Nothing the hotel can do about that but would be good to get clear guidance on that in the hotel details.

Great place to stay if you have layover at the JFK. We got a room at the top floor and you could watch the JFK in the distance from there. The staff was courteous and we had a seamless check-in. The breakfast in the morning is pretty basic but does the jo ! They also have a bar/restaurant which is open until 10 p.m. but as we came there after a long flight, all that we wanted to do was just check-in and have a good night's sleep before traveling the next day. In that sense, the stay was pretty comfortable and exactly what we wanted. Maybe, the only suggestion I will make is to also have microwave in the rooms - at least ours did not have one.

Overall this stay is a "5". Why, because it is a service business and the people are great! Andrew at the bar, Kandy and Tialia at the front desk, those we bumped into, the late night desk attendee gentleman whose name we failed to get. All great! The facility is dated, but clean, and has what you need for a great nights rest before or after flying out/into JFK. Good AC, nice bed, and blackout blinds. Our only gripe being a sink spigot that took up the whole sink. Given the need we will be back! Thank you Team Hampton! P.S. While there is coffee, breakfast, and eats onsite... If you need to stretch your legs, just a short 10-minute walk will get you to Compass Cafe. Great grinds, more super people!

After a long trip back home from halfway around the world, the beds were comfortable to catch up on the time difference and some well needed rest.

The curtains in the room were very thin and there were no black out portions that could have been pulled close to block out the light. It was very difficult to sleep as long as we wanted. We basically had to get up with the sun. Also, the menu downstairs in the restaurant did not have many options, it could be a little better... more of a variety to choose from would have been great!

The Hampton Inn was conveniently located near JFK Airport and the staff were professional in helping me get checked in. No matter what the situation, someone was available at the front desk to answer questions and provide suggestions of local supermarkets nearby etc. After a restful night in my tidy room and cozy bed, I had a wonderful continental breakfast and enjoyed the fitness center before I continued my travels. Check out was an easy process and getting to the airport was a breeze, as a shuttle leaves every 15 minutes in the morning to both the JFK Airport and Federal Circle. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to any other solo traveler who is looking for comfortable accommodations at the beginning or end of a trip.

Breakfast was a busy time (I get it), so the tables were not super clean. I didn't mind it too much, but it's area for improvement.
