We returned from Europe via JFK and stayed a night at the Residence Inn- NY JFK Airport. Our room was so comfortable and the staff super helpful and attentive. We will be back whenever returning thru JFK

We were not aware we had to notify the hotel to send the shuttle. It would be helpful to include that in the instructions.

Extremely friendly staff with lovely attitude. Clean and modern rooms. Shuttle at all hours of day Access by fire staircase also (in case you suffer from claustrophobia and don’t take elevators) Help with luggage from team (bringing up and down) Great breakfast buffet with fruit, warm meals, juices, muffins etc. also to go Coffee, water and tea for free at all times in hall area Quiet area for a good sleep 10 min from airport 83 USD to Manhattan by taxi. Little kitchen in the room too with fridge etc. The shower is big and very well made with a great distribution of water.

To take the shuttle to the Hotel you have to take an air train from your terminal to Federal Circle. Its a train that looks like an underground train. I didn’t want to take it, so had to take a taxi to get to federal circle and get on the shuttle to the hotel. It was 20 USD with the taxi.

The breakfast was excellent, there was very little else that could have been included. The choices were many, and the quality of the food was good. Would definitely recommend the Residence Inn. It is perfect for families with young children.

Because is for long stays and it is equipped for that purpose, it appears there is no restaurant that can offer dinner. This is the only draw back we found. Although this specific location had a Marriott across the other side of parking lot, with a restaurant we were able to use.

The staff is INCREDIBLE!! I cannot believe the kindness and warmth with which I was received and treated from the minute I entered the doors. Ever single member of staff I interacted with was amazing and lovely - reception, door staff, breakfast staff, cleaning staff, maintenance, shuttle drivers, literally everyone. I was there as a bit of a pit stop transitioning as part of my relocation out of NYC so I was naturally a bit pensive and maybe a bit sad and their warm reception was EVERYTHING! I had also just returned from a work trip from Korea so I had a suitcase full of clothes that needed to be laundered and I made use of the laundry room with complimentary detergent from the front office. The manager gave me late check out as my next flight to Switzerland was late in the evening and I really appreciated it. Thank you so much Residence Inn. You made my final stay in NYC so memorable. Thank you for your kindness ❤️

The location is residential but there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel so you can take it to the MTA Subway station or LIRR or take an Uber to LIRR which I did. I took the LIRR to Grand Central to Manhattan when I needed to go to the office on my final day and then the LIRR back to Jamaica station and an Uber back to the Residence Inn. So the location is easy to navigate. Don’t let it deter you!

Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - I arrived overnight and they coordinated a shuttle pick up with no fuss - similarly the return shuttle and holding of luggage after checkout was no problem at all. They couldn't do enough for me to feel welcomed and supported. Complementary breakfast is the best I have had in any hotel!!

The benefits of being so close to JFK is the obvious drawback of being a distance from downtown NY. However, a bus stop is right outside the hotel with a connecting subway.

We had travel delays at JFK Airport and wanted a nearby, well-appointed hotel for our overnight stay. Super friendly staff. Very clean hotel. Shuttle service to JFK was available and convenient. The room felt huge after our week in Manhattan! The space had a small kitchen that we did not use, a love seat, and a decently sized desk/dresser. This would have been perfect for a long stay. Very nice and comfortable accommodations.

It did not appear to be near many restaurants, but the Marriott that was on the same property had a restaurant/bar and it was VERY good. The hotel staff also offered take out menus and recommendations for other options.

Big room with kitchenette and very comfortable bed. Close to airport. Free shuttle to/from airport worked super well and drivers and other hotel staff were great. Restaurant in the neighboring Merriott served good food and also had nice staff (thanks Pedro!).

We had an early flight and missed the complimentary breakfast. It would have been nice for the hotel to offer bagged breakfast or at least a discount in room price for those with early (before 6:30am) departures. Also, while the hotel was well soundproofed against external noises, in-room noises—fridge, bathroom fan, HVAC—were unusually loud/constant. Especially for a short overnight stay, we felt the cost of room was bit excessive.

Quiet,clean, and new room. It felt like home.

No dinner options on site. I had to either go out or have dinner delivered.

Very prompt shuttle both to and from JFK. Make sure you get off at The Residence Inn not the first hotel. Comfortable beds and linens, pillows rather average. Wonderful, helpful and polite staff. Nice bath products and spacious bathroom. I asked for a late checkout and they gave me one at no extra charge. Great restaurant at the hotel in front—Quimby. Decent free breakfast buffet. Good vibes all around.

Noisy heating system. You gotta turn down the volume guys. Ridiculous pet fee—150! But they told me it was for an unlimited number of animals in the room. Who travels with a pack? But this fee is around par for airport hotels.

The hotel is very close to the airport, and the free shuttle was a big help — I didn’t have to walk with my heavy suitcase. As other reviews mentioned, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they responded to almost all of my requests.

The shower temperature was hard to adjust, and a handheld shower would have been nice. I expected daily room cleaning, but it wasn’t done — only the towels were changed upon request. I wasn’t aware that housekeeping wouldn’t be provided automatically.
