Most resort/hotel-like experience in the area and in a great location for access to the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Tsali mountbiking, Lake Fontana etc. Outstanding sunset views at top of hill. Seems like it would be an amazing wedding venue that one could book out for a big group with people staying in rooms, cabins, etc. Super convenient after hours checkin which worked fine for me. Coffee and bisquits were available in the lobby in the morning. I didn't see any staff while I was there but it was perfectly fine. Restaurant was closed "temporarily" while we were there which was surprising considering it was July 4 weekend. I wish I had had more time to enjoy the pool or visit the venue across the street which had great live music, but after a day of biking and swimming in the lake no energy. Normally I camp when I'm in the area but this is my occasional hotel go to.
Lighting in room was quite dim. Need better light bulbs in general and a lamp in the middle of the two double beds would work wonders. Found a fine hair in shower but it looks hard to clean since a no hose shower. Floors seemed a bit gritty and I didn't want to walk on them barefooted. Ther was dust on top of the dresser where the TV is which made me think the cleaning person was shorter than the dresser.

the lodge with the restaurant downstairs was BEAUTIFUL and the rooms were AMAZING AND LOVELY. BEDS WAS SO COMFY AND I WISH I COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER ... IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT ON MY VACATION , I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AT THAT ROOMs ABOVE THE RESTAURANT. I do not have knowledge of the other places on the property.
I didn't have time to ride horses and we couldn't get in the game room to play pool. the cooks were gone so we had a limited menu, but the drinks were good and the fettuccini was good.

Room was roomy..had a microwave and refrigerator..ac worked well. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Property did have a dated feel to it. The carpet in the room was old ugly green. Needs to be changed out. Other than that, it was a pretty nice place. I'd probably stay there again. The pool was nice...water was a little cold. Gameroom had no a/c..was very hot. Nice views from the property. Was right on a fairly busy road.Had small coffee pot for coffee..should go to Keurig. Sausage biscuits and coffee in the lobby a nice touch..but would be nice to have breakfast. There is a great restaurant 3 miles down the road called Rivers End. Good place for breakfast lunch and dinner. There is also a cool little bar and grill right across the street for burgers and such at night. All said, not a bad place.
Please change out the guestroom carpets!

Beautiful location, quiet, wonderful supper in the restaurant, friendly people at front desk.
The girl to get breakfast out on Sat showed up at 8:20 (breakfast was supposed to be available at 8:30). I know for sure because we were out front, waiting. When I went in, at 8:30, to ask for hot water, to make my own tea, she seemed confused as to how to make hot water available to me. When I inquired as to when the free breakfast would be available, she stated she was just getting started on it and it would be at least 15-20 min. We ended up leaving and getting breakfast elsewhere. I may be old fashioned, but if you're supposed to have food available at 8:30, as an employee, you need to be there, working, more than 10 min beforehand. On Sunday, not sure if it was the owner I spoke to, but he was extremely apologetic for the previous day's disaster.

Cooks are amazing, three people working around bar area on the 4th of July were the best. New the area really well, could tell you places around the area to visit or tell stories about the area, VERY INVITING 😊. Very good customer service.
Friday night hostess and a couple people came out at 6:30. Asked if we had a "reservation" and told us since we didn't we couldn't eat there. We found this a little odd because we weren't told that we might need to find out if we needed reservations. By now a person is limited on where they can go to eat.

It was cute and comfortable. The staff was so nice and it was clean. We went on the wine train in Bryson City so we thought it was a great touch they already had wine glasses and a wine opener in the room ready for us. The pool was so nice after an early September day! The sausage biscuits were the best.
The sausage biscuits for breakfast were good, wish they would have been ready a little earlier. I was hungry since 6:30, but not until after 8. The restaurant was great. I loved the trout cakes. We were told we had to have a reservation and when we showed up early told we had to wait for the reservation time so we did. When we finally got our meal, a big rowdy, clearly intoxicated group of about 8 people just walked right in. There weren’t enough seats at the bar (which is where we had reserved our seating) so they just stating walking up and down butting into private conversations to try to get them to leave. The staff would not ask them to leave and kept serving them so we packed up our $120 meal and headed back to our room to finish it. Other than that hour every thing was great.

I love this place. We only stayed one night, was traveling on our way home. I wish I had taken some pictures. It was this quaint little village of rooms just in the middle of the mountain pass. Absolutely adorable. I can see having a wedding reception out there. The staff was amazing. They have a nice little set up where If you come after hours there are little mailboxes where they leave the keys to your room. There is a restaurant that serves food till like 11:00 pm. Just an adorable place in the woods/hills of North Carolina.
Really can’t think of anything.

Pleasantly surprised at how nice the facilities, including restaurant and bar, were. The king suite with gas fireplaces, both inside and on the porch (through french doors), was very very nice.
No one present at the front desk at check-in at 5:00pm. Had to wait, and find other staff to locate someone to check us in. Called to inquire about a late checkout. There was no answer so I left a message, but got no return call. At 11:00am checkout, no one present anywhere near the front desk. Had to leave the keys behind the counter.

The property was beautiful and in a wonderful location; not too far from the city, but not so close that you’re in the middle of crowds of people. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. We visited the Nantahala Outdoor Center that was just a 5 minute drive and had dinner at River’s End and enjoyed the beautiful river. After dinner we enjoyed a nice walk exploring the property at Nantahala Village. Then we visited the on site Kallisto Restaurant and Lounge. The bartenders were excellent and we ended up with a second meal. It was a very laid back and beautiful lounge.

SO much more than I expected, but the cabin was secluded. The privacy was excellent. It was so quiet. We were only staying the one night, but we’re seriously discussing coming back and staying a week for an actual vacation.
The road was narrow. I was driving a large pickup and turning around to get pointed in the right direction meant driving well past the cabin and coming back. That and the shower temperature is preset. Nothing to be upset about though.
