no beach front rooms, as it is designed that way but great pool and beach access much larger that appears on the map. Staff will meet any need. A BIG PLUS is the location, the non-busy end of the island and half mile to a causeway to a midsized town which is great. also adjacent to the only large pier on the entire region. A nice surprise over beaches in South Carolina is the insistence on much higher quality of food in all price ranges, First time at a beach I felt i was getting a bargain every time i eat out. It is a long drive for me but clearly worth the extra couple of hours.

The property was well located and laid out very well to have easy access to the beach and privately away from the busy thoroughfare through town. The outside areas to lounge by the hotel and by the beach were great! Loved that the hotel is by the park with the handicapped ramps, outdoor volleyball courts and bathrooms. The outdoor pool looked lovely but it was such an awesome week at the beach, we did not use it. The nighttime staff was very helpful and friendly. The night staff did keep us stocked with towels and toiletries even though they were running short on laundry from the service. Great view of the beach right from our door & window.

The noise from people passing or cars by the rooms was a little loud on the second level closest to the park & parking lot. The rooms seemed clean but unfortunately the floor needed to be mopped from hour 1. The air conditioner was coated in dust also. We tried to reach out to the day staff but the office was busy and the housekeeping did not speak English or have a mop to clean it.

The location was perfect for our family of five! Walking distance to the property pool and beach were a huge plus when booking. In addition, the location is mere miles from grocery stores, a surplus of restaurants, and shopping. The property itself was family friendly, clean, and welcoming. There was no hesitation when asked for extra towels, a blanket for the pull out couch, or extra trash bags. The room was accommodating to our needs and was perfect for our long weekend getaway!

No complaints here, completely satisfied!

The Islander was very, very nice. Had been upgraded much since our last visit pre-Covid to Emerald Isle. Staff were outstanding, always going that extra step to help.

2 things, one not likely Islander's problem ... water pressure "low". This could be improved with holding/pressure tanks. 2nd was parking for guests in the rear, sand across from check-in enterance portico could be paved? Good paved parking for anywhere else staying at the Islander.

The location is great, so close to the ocean, yet also conveniently near businesses. The desk Clerk who was working when I checked in really went out of her way to make sure that all my questions about the facility and where things were located were answered.

It took me a while to find the laundry facility and once I did, I realized that one washer and one dryer were not going to be enough for what I needed to wash. Still, this place seems to have everything you would need for a several days stay near the ocean in a good spot on the Carolina coast.

They were very accommodating. The front desk representatives were kind. My room was not ready when I arrived, but the staff were apologetic and worked as quickly as they could. Part of the reason my room was not ready was my fault due to a mix up in the card I put on file. The staff accommodated me and I am so grateful.

The odor in the room may have been due to the beach, but it wasn’t too bad. The bed was a little hard, but we still got a good nights rest.

The proximity to the beach and other places in town were great and the staff was incredibly lovely.

The room layout seemed to lack a little bit of thought. For example, having only one bedside table for a king sized bed and having one remote for two tvs that were too close to each other so that when you attempted to control one you would be controlling the one you're not watching. Not the end of the world, but definitely quirky.

The location was great! I love the hammocks. There was a place to sit just outside the door. The pool area has cabanas. The pizza place next door, Kostas, is in walking distance and has great pizza. There is a coffee shop in walking distance.

The floors are disgusting. The maids just use a swiffer. They are completely black. My feet kept turning black. I tried putting on socks, and my socks turned black. The bathrooms are so tiny that it was hard to put on a bathing suit in the bathroom.

I have stayed at this location multiple times a year for 4 years. It’s my favorite place on Emerald Isle. Stayed there so much I ended up buying a park model in the RV park next door. I love the Islander. The rooms are clean and always great. Spacious and multiple TVs. Coffee all day long. Friendly staff. Great pool. Such a short walk to the beach. Multiple shower spots once you leave and spigots outside the rooms for more cleaning off. Comfortable beds, rentable bikes and great info for more fun things to do on Emerald Isle and the surrounding beaches. I would continue to stay there for years if I didn’t buy my own place. Mini-fridge and freezer, nice sized bathroom and shower and sink area outside the bathroom. I’ve just always loved the stay. I’m going to miss that place! Literally across the street from food lion, Publix, Ace Hardware, movie theater, shopping center and sooo many good restaurants. I will forever talk this place up!

The only thing I’ve ever had to say negative about this place is they don’t have enough hooks in the rooms if you are with multiple people, but that’s so minute.

The staff were all very friendly and responsive if we had any issues (the keys kept losing programming but they fixed that after a few tries). It was very nice to have coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, even if it was a little weak (it's complimentary so I wasn't going to complain). The location is perfect, we had close beach access and were still able to walk to the stores /restaurants that were less than a mile away. The beds were quite comfortable, we thought they might be too soft but had no trouble sleeping and didn't wake up sore so they were perfect.

The bathroom was a little small, which wouldn't have been a major problem except there was nowhere to safely put your clothes as the toilet seat had no cover. And the towels were a little narrow, a feature I've found most hotels near a beach have to discourage people from bringing them down to the beach, but because of that you couldn't just come out into the room with just that because it doesn't cover up much. So privacy to change is either in the tiny bathroom hoping you don't drop your clothes in the toilet or asking everyone to leave so that you can dress.
