Loved that this hotel did not have carpeting. I also loved the path to the beach and the cleaning station/shower for cleaning up afterward.

The only thing I would change would be get a few of those cheap beach towels to keep in the room for the guests instead of the white ones. Most people traveling won't want to pack them. I would also suggest maybe buying a broom and dustpan for each room. We inevitably tracked in sand and had no way of cleaning up after ourselves.

The location was great and it was nice 2 minute walk to the beach. It has a private beach access which is really nice. I also appreciated the free umbrellas and other amenities available. There was a nice patio section with games like tic-tac-toe and connect four. There was also a nice grill that is free to use.

The cleanliness of the room could've been better. There was sand in the room when we first got there and the sheets also had sand on them, which didn't come from us. However, it didn't affect our stay negatively.

The room was clean and had a little kitchen with microwave. There were boogie boards and beach umbrellas for any of the guest to use. Staff were very friendly and made us feel like family. In the back there was cornhole, a big sitting area, a huge outdoor grill with a bar/prep area and a fridge, ping pong table and a nice shaded walkway to the beach. Walking distance to several restaurants and a dollar general. Close to Emerald Isle, the Aquarium and Atlantic Beach.

The staff made me feel comfortable. I like being able to go outside my room door to smoke and being able to walk to the beach.

I didn't like that there isn't a laundry facility or ice machine. Otherwise, it wasn't bad.

The checkin was super easy, and the room was nice and clean and very spacious with lots of storage. The outdoor lounge was awesome there was a fire pit and a ping pong table, corn hole, along with an outdoor kitchen, refrigerator and plenty of seats with umbrellas to take out to the beach. The private beach access was beautiful the boardwalk up to the ocean felt like an adventure and the beach wasn’t crowded at all even with school being out now. Plenty of options on Uber eats for food deliveries and lift picks up out here as well. And plenty of things to do nearby within walking or bike distance me and my husband rode bikes to the Aquarium in 20 minutes!

Christina was phenomenal. Super friendly AND she upgraded our room at no additional cost. We had an issue flushing our toilet but she IMMEDIATELY had us in a new room and apologized several times. Everytime we saw her she was diligently working. This girl deserves a huge raise.

I have no complaints, other than the path to get to the beach. Some of the steps seemed a little sketchy to me, and the steps were very steep. This would be hard for some elderly I’m sure

The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and welcoming! I love the renovations taking place to the property.

Really the only “negative” thing I have to say is I wished my room had blackout curtains. There was a light outside of our window, and it shinned in the room all night. As for someone that likes for it to be pitch black while sleeping, this was an adjustment. Otherwise great, affordable beach motel for a getaway!

The new decor and atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous 🥰🤩! The bikes were awesome too! I loved the fact the original boardwalk was still intact that me and my Mama walked on back in 2008 ❤️

The only thing I can think of was that it needed room darkening curtains. I work night shift so it was hard to sleep in. (And an ice maker is needed but not a deal breaker, there were two stores directly across the street that had ice so that was no problem)

Short walk to beach. The beach wasn't crowded. There is a Dollar General directly across the street. They also have various beach toys/boogie boards/ chairs which you can borrow if you need too.Super nice people. I absolutely recommend this place.

I didn't find anything about this place I didn't like.

The room was more than adequate in size. The bathroom and shower was larger than we have at home. Nice kitchenette with 2 eye stove top, microwave, small fridge, pots,pans, utensils. Private access to the beach via boardwalk. Bed and pillows comfortable. Hard surface floors were easy to be swept clean of sand. Dollar General across the street. We liked sitting by the fire pit at night. Should have brought s’mores.

Even though it’s dog friendly, the rate per night , per dog seemed high, especially after Labor Day Maybe that’s typical these days. Stayed at other places, years ago, just a deposit.
