It was fine.

I was charged on my credit card $436.74 after being told on line the charge would be $388.99. I remember on check in the charge was $191.68 and $197.31. I called the hotel and was told that the online charge was just to reserve the room and the final charge would be assessed on checkin. I have used booking.com in the past and never had this happen. Later in the conversation I was told that there was a $50 pet charge which was not asked about when I checked in. The difference in the two fees is $47.75 so this explanation does not add up. Anyway I am unhappy with the different charges and plan not to use booking.com in the future.

The breakfast was a little different everyday. The room was great, good lighting. The t.v. kept going in and out but that wasn't a big deal. The beds were comfortable and clean. There was a nice little trail in the back, you could go down near the water. The view from the room was so nice. We got to see boats go by all the time. The staff was exceptional !!! The pool was clean and refreshing.We brought our dog with us, the only thing i have to say about that is maybe have a little fenced in area big enough for one dog at a time near the pool, as my husband and I had to take turns in the pool, because she was not allowed in the pool area, or allow them them in the pool area.

Allowing your dog to sit with you by the pool, and that's it, everything was fantastic!!

location I have relatives living in this area. The visit may be my last one as I was there to settle deceased sister-in-law estate. Put the house on the market. Hope to settle the property long distance due to my ill health. So it was my goodbye visit. I have enjoyed my visit in NC in the last fifty years while my husband was alive.

When serving grits please serve oatmeal. I have disphagia and there is not much food I could eat so I rely on oatmeal for breakfast. I could not eat eggs so I had cereal. Not a big deal as Grits was served only one day. I made do for that day.

Breakfast choices were very good. Breakfast attendents/cooks were nice. Front desk staff were polite.

We were booked in a room with a connecting door to another room. There were muddle school kids in the connected room 2 nights in a row. The noise/talking was almost unbearable. Also- pool was closed awaiting an inspection so there was no where to sit outside except a picnic table.

My husband and I appreciated the host Renea more because of her expert and professional service during our stay. When there was an issue with the television in our room, she was right on the spot. She never forgets a face, and personally would acknowledge us to ask if everything was to our satisfaction. Her service to us was noteworthy because of the lack of it too often today. Give her a raise and keep her!

Everything! The desk clerk was so welcoming, explaining all the amenities and answered every question. The gentleman who cooked breakfast was entertaining and so personable. I really had a good time!!! I will definitely be coming back!

Close to the beach and the dive shop we were diving with

We were there for 3 nights and we didnt need new towels each day or anything but the trash did fill up and wasnt taken out while we were there. the trash cans were small and we were eating in the room. Not a deal breaker just a minor inconvenience

Location and affordability

Wasn't really anything other than the day before we checked out someone checked in on the same floor we were on. The whole floor smelled like pot or weed. Whichever you want to call it. All the did was spray air freshener. It's a nonsmoking hotel. I would have thought they would have been kicked out. Nope, later it smelled like pot again. I had a migraine the rest of the night.

Over all everything was nice. Was not happy with the view that we paid extra to have!

We paid extra money to have a waterfront view and our main view was the parking lot after looking over the shrubbery in front of window then beyond was the ocean. That was very disappointing! We were told that they only had first floor rooms and so it was misleading to pay the extra money when to actually appreciate the view you had to walk outside to do it!

The breakfast was very good, many choices. And having coffee available in the lobby was great.

I was a little disappointed with the location, I like to walk to restaurants and bars. But that was my fault for not checking out the area before I booked.
