The Best Western at Hickory is one of our favorite stops during our summer vacation. We have visited here several times and have enjoyed it every time. The staff is great, they treat us like old friends when we return. The facilities were clean and comfortable. We always enjoy the wonderful breakfasts and the pool in the afternoon. It's location is great, near great restaurants and things to see and do. We highly recommend Best Western Hickory.

Booking in/out was perfectly easy. All the staff from reception, breakfast, pool/maintenance to cleaning seemed like they couldn't do enough for us. The price was pretty competitive compared to some, but we still had an amazing breakfast which a lot seem to leave out to save money. Our breakfast choice was waffles of 2 flavours, eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, yoghurt, breakfast rolls, breakfast pastry selection & cereals. The pool was great & was cleaned every morning from leaves etc. Fresh towels were available for pool use. The whole place was spotless everywhere. Room was very nice & bed/pillows were great. Fridge was a good size & was on before we arrived which is always nice. Nice to have a microwave (not used), a full sized ironing board & iron.

The customer service was amazing! So amazing that we might come back one day. John especially did a great job!! The pool was nice and peaceful. The room was fancy and to our liking and breakfast was good. We both got breakfast sandwiches to our liking +fruit and my boyfriend brought them up to the room to enjoy. It also was a plus that there was complimentary coffee and tea at all times in the lobby, that we found great. Would definitely recommend.

The room floors could have been vacuumed/mopped better, we got dirty feet when walking barefoot. Otherwise the rooms were clean and nice, and we didn‘t really mind.

The breakfast options each day were wonderful. They keep everything supplied and available to choose from. The hotel was easy access to the highway and was located conveniently near food and retail stores. Since our room had an outside entrance we were able to park near our room. We had plenty of room in our king bed room along with an area with a chair/ottoman for reading. The room was clean and comfortable.

If you get a room on the second floor you will need to know you will be climbing stairs to get to your room. If you have mobility issues request a first floor room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and hotel in general (from the areas we went in) were very clean and smelled good. Nice variety at the complimentary breakfast. They also give you different towels for the pool, so you don't have to use your shower towels from your room. It was conveniently located and bonus for us was the parking. We were there for a race and had 2 vehicles and one towing racecars and the nice gentleman at check-in made sure to inform us that there were plenty of parking belongings to the hotel to accommodate us (there were semis in the lot too). Loved the sense of security that you have to use your key card to come inside the actual building after a certain time, gives peace of mind that random people can't come in.

Our room was hot for some reason, even with the ac as low as it'd go. We're not sure what the problem was with that, we forgot to mention to the staff because we weren't in the room except to sleep. Wasn't a big deal because everything else was great and it was 96° that day, so understandable. We also had a lamp between the beds that was burned out, again wasn't an issue because there were 2 other lamps and other lights.

I was lucky I had an interior room near the lobby. Beautifully updated and renovated, solid WIFI, amazing breakfast and staff.

I was given an exterior room when I first got there. Very isolated at the far end of a lot, musty, moldy room and no wifi. Thankfully, they accommodated me right away otherwise it would've been a very long 2 weeks.

We made a return visit to BW Hickory, for this summer. My wife has family in the area and we use this visit for some family time. Best Western Hickory is our favorite motel in the area. The staff treat us like family. We enjoy the breakfast area, and our room is clean and comfortable. We asked for a room near the pool and were accommodated. We enjoyed using the pool which was also cleaned daily and tended to. We had a very pleasant visit and even extended our stay two extra days. We are looking forward to returning.

The staff was super friendly always attentive as needed for a mom n dad weekend away with no kids it was extremely relaxing to not have to worry for a few days

The door was difficult to shut literally had to slam it to latch draft coming from around the door and the sound deadening certainly needs to be addressed. Could hear people talking in the parking lot other than that, it was exactly what was needed for a weekend of peace

Excellent Breakfast, clean, stocked and great variety! John, 3-11 front desk was very kind and helpful with our questions.

The humidity in the room was tolerable but uncomfortable. Generally feeling sticky. It was damp in the mornings we did use the AC and a personal fan during our stay. Also a large group occupied the pool the entire Saturday til after hours luckily when they checked out on Sunday it was available. No elevator should have been mentioned or noted for seniors but somehow I managed.

Loved the location. We were near every major restaurant, a Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Target, the mall, etc. I don't think we drive more than two miles to get to anything we wanted the entire stay. The staff was exceptional. We stay here every summer for a specific family event and will continue to do so.

There was a baseball tournament that brought in loud and discourteous families but the hotel couldn't do anything about that. We just left the pool when they came out.
