EVERYTHING! The room had great reading (thank the Gideons). The staff was helpful. EVERYTHING was clean. The breakfast was wonderful, with quality vegetarian/kosher and gluten free options with other others (so something for everyone). We enjoyed using the gym.

[There was a group of loud motor revers going up and down the road late and into the wee hours. Maybe have noise proofing windows or work with law enforcement for noise ordinances? The towels were not replenished in the gym, the bike didn't appear to work, and the lights flickered. (Little things that are likely easy fixes).]

Good location off of the highway and close to downtown Hickory. The room had an incredibly comfy bed - with options for "firm" or "soft" pillows - and we slept better than we do at home. The room was clean and far bigger than I anticipated. I liked the Dove toiletries in the bright green Holiday Inn bathroom.

Breakfast was OK, got the job done with plenty of options. The layout of the hotel is somewhat strange because the elevators are in the middle of a hallway in the first floor rather than near the lobby, but the stairs were conveniently located, so we did that. The location is not in a walkable area, but we had a rental car we depended on and rideshares in the area are inexpensive.

Loved the breakfast! So many choices. Omelets, biscuits and gravy, etc. m favorite was the automatic pancake maker. 2 pancakes in 1 minute! Juices, eggs, yogurt fresh fruit, and so much more.

Breakfast tables needed to be washed off. Ours was very sticky…my plate had to be yanked up to release.

The location is great because it's surrounded by restaurants and stores. The breakfast provides a little bit of everything. I liked how convenient the app feature to pay for laundry is.

The building is smaller than most hotels I've been to. The breakfast is very basic and the lobby is small. There's only one elevator.

Good selection, good seating options

rooms close to breakfast area did not allow for the guest to rest as you heard people in treating area starting at 6:30 am -- would be good idea not to have rooms outside the breakfast/lobby area. -- Other guests up and going about their day, other guest wishing to sleep later than 6:30 am on vacation

Breakfast was good, with the hot food alternatives changing every day. The beds were a good size and comfortable. The room was a good size and was clean. The bathroom was also clean. There was a good sized tv with normal channels. There were a couple of USB sockets in the room which came in handy for charging phones etc. There were some good restaurants nearby for evening meals. Reasonably priced stay.

I would have liked a room safe, but it seems most hotels in Hickory dont have these either. Although there are some restaurants nearby, a lot are only accessible if you have a car as the hotel is on the main interstate road.

We were absolutely surprised by how nice and clean this property was. The front desk agent that checked us in, Amber, was so friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great. We will be returning to Hickory in September and will definitely return to this property!

We loved everything about it.

The room was large and exceptionally clean. The front desk staff (especially Cutie) were very helpful. Check in was easy and information about the area was shared without asking. We took advantage of some of the suggestions regarding sights and restaurants. The breakfast was much better than offered at most hotels.

Staff was wonderful. Friendly and caring. Room size was great; bed was very comfortable. Great shower head.

Need a small side table next to the one chair so you can place something on it when reading or watching tv. The ac unit sounded like it was broken. Very loud when kicking on and in the actual running mode - interfered with sleeping, so had to raise it to higher level so it wouldn't kick on as often.

We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast. The layout of the hotel was nice and very well kept.

The lobby and seating areas for breakfast were a bit smaller and more limited than we expected but it wasn’t a problem at all.
