Beautiful main floor and 1 block from the ocean. Front desk ladies and housekeepers were friendly. I enjoyed using the beach wagon.

The cushioned lounge furniture at the pool all had broken sunshades. Trash was not emptied, people left trash, toys, life vests, dirty towels, shirts and other items just laying around. Several days there were no clean towels. The first 2 days there was a chair flipped up against the railing. Very strange that no one noticed it. Maybe add a camera out there so someone can see when the area needs attention. The pool itself was nice & we enjoyed it. Other guests were friendly.

Staffed by very friendly folks and clean as a whistle, this hotel is a great place to stay. Yes, it is across the street from the beach (the hotel has beach wagons for your stuff), but because of its location behind a development of huge beach mansions with few inhabitants, there is a pretty empty beach waiting for you.

I wish they had a better breakfast, though. We remember when it was a different chain with a breakfast buffet that our family enjoyed. Now you can only buy one of about 4-5 low-priced breakfast items (bagel with cream cheese; croissant with egg, cheese and bacon; oatmeal with nuts and cranberries).

The staff was kind. Everywhere we went it smelled nice and clean. The bike rental at the hotel is super cool. The tokens they give you for a complimentary drinks is a nice touch. The beach is walking distance. The rinsing station is very nicely placed in front of the hotel. The room was very clean and very spacious. The pool was nice and the chairs are very comfortable. The staff also kept towels throughout the day. The gym was clean as well. We did laundry it was clean and tidy. They had two washers and two dryers. There is also a room outside the laundry facility to sit and chat or relax. Outside the patio was very large with lots of room to sit and relax. The decor everywhere is very nice and fancy looking.

The only thing I would've liked was a earlier check in time and later checkout time.

I love the view & comforter, the staff were amazing, the bed was very comfortable, the service was on point, I appreciate the beach view I love the beach so that was right on time for me. The hotel is so lovely I just love the lobby and would love to have gatherings there. They bathrooms in the clean is very clean and the whole building smells phenomenal. Thanks again Mrs. Sue and Kareyann y’all were a blessing and the other staffs I can’t remember y’all name.

For the price I feel like we should have complementary breakfast and the people next to me were very loud and get drunk so they start being extra loud laughing running back and fourth, and the elevator to the left is scary and it takes too long to let you out I almost thought I was stuck. The cost of the washer and dryer are ridiculous in the washing machine ate at my underwear and socks.

Location and room size.

Room was not properly cleaned. Hair in the bath tub. Stains on the sheets and trash in front of the sofa. When asked at the front desk if housekeeping could sweep the floor and change the sheets, while I was out for several hours, front desk receptionist was extremely nice and indicated she would have housekeeping clean the house. Came back and housekeeping had made the bed, but did not change the sheets or sweep up the trash that was underneath the front of the sofa, along with some bubble gum that was there. I took pictures and went down to the front desk and showed them to the receptionist. She was kind enough to get housekeeping to clean the room and change the sheets.

The evening front desk staff is usually very nice. Rooms are decent size.

The overwhelming air freshener they use is use too much! Also wasn’t expecting to have it pay a “resort fee” of $30.. when I asked abt it I was told it’s to cover “the connect four game out front, use of a bike or beach wagon” … like I don’t use any of that so I have no clue why I should have to pay that fee! Pillows need replaced.. also as nice as the staff area, the pool hoyer lift never works, which is one reason we even come there :( also why would bkfst be $10 each for the kind any other hotel has for freeze especially for the price you pay per night ? Wow! We chose to go to IHOP instead for their $6 bkfst. All in all a good hotel but pricey.

We did not eat at the hotel restaurant but heard many guests compliment the food/service/cost. This is in a perfect location. The beach access is across the road but there is a crosswalk with a caution light that all traffic respected. The beach access is a long wooden platform walkway that makes is easy to get beach items from the hotel to the beach with no hassle. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. When you return there is a rinse station and shoe brushes to get the sand off. This hotel is also pet friendly. They keep full water bowls outside for dogs. The hotel parking is a small fee but worth it since the lot is very secure and away from the public. The staff were extremely friendly. The housekeeping staff were so kind and helpful. We already know we are returning. As far as the location, they are close to Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, and Morehead City. The local restaurants have great food and good vibes. The people are friendly and if you have children there is a beautiful aquarium, water park, laser tag, mini golf, go carts, etc. The hotel has a pool that had a nice variety of seating to lounge in the sun or shade. Hotel Alice serves every kind of guest from families to dog lovers to couples. I highly recommend it if you are planning to visit the area!

There was really no negatives.

Everyone gave excellent customer service! The staff was absolutely wonderful and so helpful! We had everything we needed in the room, and the bed was comfortable. The beach was only moments away from our room.

Our room was located above the main entry way to the hotel and also by the elevators, so during the night we heard the sliding front door below and everyone using the elevator. We are looking to be back in the near future, but I will be requesting a room further away from the main traffic areas. So this was the only negative, not necessarily a real complaint, but everything else exceeded our expectations! Thanks so much.

Great location with easy walk to the beach, everything in the hotel and room was clean and in “like new” condition. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, quiet and with a good view of the golf course. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the price was great. The area was quiet and so pleasant. Would definitely stay again!

Can’t think of anything. Maybe just on the breakfast not being available on a week day. It was explained that due to the season not being their busy season that they only had breakfast available on the weekends. Unfortunately that wasn’t clear on Booking.com. (That’s the 2nd time that’s happened to me with this site) At least a Bojangles and a coffee shop are a couple minutes down the road. We made it work.

Sorry I forgot his name by the nice guy working front desk was a blessing !! Kind and caring since we were displaced from the hurricane.. he was so helpful! He walked with me to 2 rooms to see which was best for my little boy in a wheelchair. Love the area, coffee was good, nice sitting area out front, beach access, nice clean pool area.

Housekeeping was very nice, but not very thorough in cleaning. But all in all it was ok. We had been told we could extend our stay for a bit of a reduced price as our power was still off at home .. however the lady at front desk charged full price plus another $10 deposit which was never returned on either stay :( thought she may be a bit more considerate .. but the guy who was at the front desk most, is a wonderful asset to Hotel Alice and made our difficult time much easier!
