I was traveling through Minot with my husband, daughter and 2 dogs (labs). We needed a place that would accommodate our pets. We gave this place a try and it was very nice. Our room had laminate flooring which was great with our dogs. I felt like it was cleaner than carpet would be. Very nice. Happy to have stayed there.

The hotel is clean, The breakfast was good, with lots of variety. We were surprised by how quiet it was while sleeping even though the hotel,is located across the street from Walmart!

We had trouble with getting the key to work. Finally had the nicest maintenance man help us get into the room after returning to the front desk a couple,of times. Never have we stayed at a hotel that you have to pull the door handle “upwards” in order to open the door! Also, we didn’t realize check in was at 3:00pm and we arrived an hour early. The front desk receptionist made us feel like we were committing a crime…she wasn’t very friendly. Never before have we never been able to check in before the “time”

The included breakfast had many hot and cold choices, more than the average continental in other hotels. The suite was spacious, elegant, had every comfort for a night or extended stay, including dishes, coffee pot, full sized fridge, a very comfortable bed, and even Dove soap and hair products!

The small pillows weren’t that comfortable and didn’t seem in keeping with the clean smelling bedding. Also the only disturbance was what appeared to be staff children wandering in the way in the breakfast room, playing with the trash can, making a racket, helping themselves to food, generally running around.

Enjoyed a good breakfast. Quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to Walmart for groceries, nice since we had a nice kitchenette. Short drive to Amtrak to pick up my favorite girl (wife). We had a nice time staying at Hawthorn. Thanks.

Front desk staff courteous professional and made me feel I was valued as a guest. Rooms were clean and spacious, beds were comfy. Good proximity to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods available.

The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome on arrival. Room was spacious and clean. Morning breakfast bar was the usual fare and we appreciated the hot protein items (eggs, sausages) The pool and hot tub looked nice, although we did not use them.

The small square pillows were not our favorite. They were still comfortable, though.

Room was clean but very small pillows. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and had lots of choices.

Cost of room was excessive even before US exchange rate was factored in.

The staff was very professional and they made sure the hotel was clean and presentable. Everyone said good morning and they were always approachable.

Both our rooms smelt like sewer when we first got into the room, I assumed that it was a dry trap as we turned on the shower and fan, and the smell went away. Glad there was a fan to move some air.
