Honestly, I really want to gate keep this hotel. However, out of the three (sonesta, hyatt, hilton) I have stayed in while attending conventions at the Greater Columbus Convention, the sonesta has been my favorite. It's location makes for an enjoyable outdoor stroll to the North Market, and the hotel offers a Skywalk to the Convention in case of poor weather. The arena is on the same street and comfortable walking distance.

Getting from the chestnut st parking garage is a bit labyrinthine and ends up spitting you out onto the street. The best bet is to either valet park or just walk the back way into the hotel. The only negative about the room was that I couldn't control the temp of the room.

We opted for valet service during our stay, very happy with their helpfulness and with our luggage. I was taken aback by the overall feel and look of the hotel. In town for the volleyball championships at the Convention Center, it was more than expected. I absolutely loved the self-care/wellness approach because im a social worker I was really happy with that aspect from the reflection board in the lobby, the mindfulness coloring coasters and sheets with colored pencils available at the bar and in the restaurant, and the cards placed in the room on the bed and in the bathroom. I also really liked the layout of the room. We stayed in a king loft room with my teenage daughter. There was a small issue with the rollaway bed not being there when we checked in, but with one phone call, it was corrected right away. I enjoyed learning the history of the building we were in. The exposed brick and beams added a nice touch. It was calm and serene in the room. The mood lighting provided a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and the refrigerator was convenient. There were no microwaves in the room, but they were available in the lobby. There were two large tvs in the room, which was good for us as we don't typically like to watch the same things. Lots of channels to choose from. We decided to extend our stay, and the hotel staff were helpful and made it easy. We also opted for a late check out at 1pm. The food and drink options in the restaurant were amazing. Full bar with many whiskey/bourbon options. It was a little pricey but we'll worth it after 12 hours of volleyball!

My only suggestion is that there be some functional lighting in the room. It was on the darker side, and the morning was a bit of a challenge getting ready. There were also random pieces of trash lying around outside of the room, and the trash by the elevator hadn't been dumped. The same cups had set there for a couple of days. I was still absolutely happy with my stay and will stay again.

The hotel was great the workers there were nice and pleasant. The room i had oh my God I can't say enough about this place. The breakfast was so delicious.i want this food everyday, it was that good. But one particular person I must mention was the front desk man his name is Vincent, his customer service he has given me it was wonderful. He were so helpful and kind and great at his job. This world needs more people like him.Thank you Vincent for all that you do.

It was nothing I didn't like here.

The bartender in the restaurant from 4:30-5:30 pm Fri, 10/7/22 was unqualified to work with the public. No communication from the beginning. No sign or anyone saying to seat ourselves. No guidance on getting food or placing order. Order was placed prior to 4:38 pm. I had to get up and find out the status of our order after 30 min wait. Burger arrived 5:14 pm. Your service was far worse than in Mexico or the Caribbean, let alone any restaurant I've been to in the U.S. Even worse than McDonald's.

Clean and new appearing. Very close to convention center. Restaurant Forge and Vino (think that is the name) was convenient and very good having had two dinners there in two days

Only disappointment and it is minor for me is that housekeeping did not show up for the two days I rented so bed not made ( actually this I don’t care about) but no one came to check if I needed new towels( again I did not since alone and had enough for two days) but no one replaced used coffee pods for Keurig and that I could have used but overall it is a very nice hotel.

Very convenient location. A few blocks from the arena. The front desk staff were pleasant, and we were happy to have a small fridge in the room. The bathroom was larger than expected. Linens were clean. There's an on-site restaurant that stays open late and a tiny convenience store for drinks & snacks. The Chestnut Street public parking garage was relatively close, with a short walk around the block.

The bed was too firm for my preference, but tolerable for one night. The bathroom floors near the baseboards looked dirty, everything else was spotless.

The hotel was clean,, room clean, and big. The Vine and Forge was great. Open till 1 am so we could go there after concert. It was packed all day. Jazz our waitress all day was very pleasant and did a good job. Girl deserves a raise. It was a great hotel, food delicious, and most staff was great. I will come again when I go to Arena. Literally 2 blocks to arena.

There was 2 other waiter/waitress that should smile more. Not a big deal but people complained about them for what ever reason. Manager took care of the customers very well. The bed was a little too firm for me. Besides that it was a wonderful stay. Thank you

Bed was very comfy. Room was spacious. Appreciated being able to walk to the Convention Center without going outside since it was cold. Really great hotel gym. Short walk to restaurants and the arena.

Room was just... weird. Hardly any natural light and also not enough actual lights. No lamps or anything. Only the king bed and an office chair to sit in, no other reading/sitting chair options, though there was space for it. Tub was not clean.

there is nothing really not to like it was sufficient. It was clean met all my checkmarks well most of it.

we ended up having to stay an extra night due to flight cancellation. The front desk staff for the most part was helpful but one person was very dismissive when we asked about laundry services. Not very helpful basically you're on your own. type of customer service not very good. This was just one employee, though the others were amazing.

The hotel has a connection walkway to the Columbus Convention Center which was perfect for my stay (I went to attend a con). My room was Queen size and very spacious and my bed was very comfortable. The restaurant also had good food and I was glad they had a little marketplace for snacks and drinks.

I wish things weren't so expensive, like overnight parking.
