The location of this hotel is near Granville Ohio which is a quaint town with shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have a small fridge and Keurig. There's also a patio. There's a restaurant at the location and we had breakfast there. The food was great and our server Suzy was very friendly and a welcoming face in the morning! We enjoyed having her! The courtyard has plenty of seating and we enjoyed watching the baby ducks swim and stroll around the property. There's also a fire pit and a gazebo with rocking chairs. The front lobby is very welcoming and the front desk team was friendly. We had stayed at this hotel many years ago for our anniversary and again when they had an indoor water park so we were looking forward to staying once again.

As much as we liked the people and the cleanliness of the rooms, the hotel does need some TLC. For example, our patio door would not lock and the outdoor patio could use some repair as it was missing some nails and some of the boards could probably be replaced and repainted. The hot tub was not working and one of the door knobs to get into the pool area was broken off. The gazebo which is such a nice place to sit and look at the courtyard could use some repairs and repainted as well. The property just needs some TLC refresh and it would be a 5/5 for me. I would stay at this location again but would love to see the property revitalized as it once was many years ago when we stayed.

Very clean and the beds were amazing. Almost all the staff was friendly and helpful.

A front desk staff member blatantly lied to me not knowing her colleagues had already told me the truth. The fire alarm waking us up in the middle of the night was crazy first time we were outside in the rain for 2 hours. The fireman said they were out there way too much due to a faulty sprinkler. When I expressed concern the one staff member chose to lie and say it won't happen again, knowing nothing had been fixed in less than 12 hours from it going off. But a week later there we were outside in the cold this time for 20 minutes but again in the middle of the night. That's why we left...

This hotel was even better than the photos depicted online. Spacious reception area opens up onto a small lake with a fountain and gazebo, surrounded on all sides by the octagon shaped hotel for privacy and quiet. The restaurant has great reviews and looks like it would be a nice place to eat but I was up for wedding and didn't get a chance to do so. The bar was excellent and I was able to enjoy a well made drink during my stay. The bartender was perfect with just the right amount of engagement and conversation. My room was much larger than expected with a separate sitting / dining area from the bedroom which had it's own door. The cleanliness was exceptional, trust me, this is probably the most important requirement for me when traveling. Cherry Valley was one of the best I have stayed in. They have earned my business and will by my stay of choice whenever I am in this part of Ohio again.

The location of the resort and specifically our room were in prime locations and the pricing for two nights was fantastic...the bed was quite comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was a plus! The grounds were beautifully maintained and well lit, and the Butcherman restaurant (and service) was excellent...quite literally one of the best meals I've ever had!!

The guy working the front desk was somewhat of an @$$ and wasn't very friendly. The rooms were nice but the couch cushions had white stains and wasn't comfortable, the lightswitch in the bathroom was damaged, the light over the tub wouldn't operate, and the tub had a dent. The AC/heating was difficult to adjust and was unable to establish a set temp during our stay.

The room was and clean. The check in staff contacted me within five minutes of getting to my room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction with in the room. We brought the kids with us so we needed extra blankets and towels and they brought them almost immediately. The food served their was excellent and the wait staff was prompt, professional, and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their jobs. The igloo pods outside were heated and available for lounging. All in all will definitely revisit cherry valley. Thanks for the good time.

Thermistor improvement i can think of. Common areas were always kept spotless. Staff both at the desk and those cleaning rooms were friendly, and accommodating.

I loved everything about this experience. The lobby has a gathering area with huge fireplaces and soaring ceilings. This hotel is shaped like a large octagon and has an incredible surprise interior water feature with romantic seating and a gazebo. We arrived on Christmas and so could not make use of the bar or restaurant...but both looked very nice. Our stylish, but simple room, was spacious and wonderfully clean. The shower had great water pressure. The bed was also lovely. I would definitely recommend this for groups or just a little retreat. Thanks for going above and beyond.

I wish there had been better food and drink options for Christmas travelers. The snacks that were available were not suitable for us pesky gluten free folk.

The facility is attractive and welcoming but fraying at the edges. The hall carpet is iffy in places sound but worn. Some of the beautiful woodwork in the hallways is dinged and the small garden outside my room definitely needed some TLC. It was fairly weedy but still had attractive qualities. The staff is outstanding except for the front desk lady who forgot to give us your breakfast vouchers and then made me hike all the way around the building to the front desk to pick it up. The breakfast staff mAde up for that though.

Everything! Room was fantastic with a swimming pool size tub to soak in after many hours of travel in the car. Restaurant within the hotel served delicious food until 10 so we were able to get a little supper after a late arrival. The decor was a mixture of modern and rustic with beautiful wooden tables and chandeliers. We appreciated the Keurig coffee machine in the room, plenty of soft towels and a very comfortable bed with many soft supportive pillows. I really liked the layout of the room and bathroom. The view from our room and the hotel restaurant of the beautiful courtyards filled with trees, ponds, waterfalls, light covered trees which were lit up in the dark made for a relaxing and romantic stay for our wedding anniversary! If we are ever in the area again, I will definitely try to book another room at the Cherry Valley Hotel!

There was nothing that I didn't like, but it would have been great if there was a laundry room. I needed to wash some of our dirty laundry that was accumulating in the suitcase after several days of our vacation.

The hotel room was large and comfortable.

There was a high school prom going on. It was entertaining to see the young kids dressed for prom and getting photos, but they banged on our door intermittently from 9pm to 11pm. Then, someone called my room at midnight and asked if I had ordered food. I couldn't tell if it was hotel staff or the teenagers. The kids were loud up and down the halls until about midnight. There should have been security or chaperones stationed in the hallways.

The room is spacious, and there are two king size bed. The price is very reasonable for a room of that size.

There is no desk or table althought the room is big enough to put one. That is quite inconvenient for a multiday stay. The environment is quiet, but the small refrigertor is very loud. the ventilation fan in the bathroom is loud too. I also don't like that the beds are too soft.
