the flair of the hotel is exceptional, the room comfortable and the location very central. It is easy to get to from the highway and the breakfast is very good. We always stay there when we go to Portland and feel almost like home.

I miss having the restaurant open for regular hours. We wanted to dine at Gracie and were looking forward to the exceptional cuisine, but were surprised that it is not only open for breakfast. The breakfast was very good, but the variety of the menu has also decreased. It was a bit of a disappointment

The staff were very professional and nice. The room was very clean and the decor was nice. The location was great, close to downtown, and close to the freeway. We stayed here to be close to OHSU and it was only an 8 minute drive away. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet at night. The parking garage was nice and fairly priced compared to other comparable hotels.

The bathroom window was broken, letting in air and sound. At night we had to close the bathroom door to stop any sound and cold air from getting into the main room. There was a dead bug on the light in the bathroom that was large and hard to over look. The walls are thin and we could hear the entire phone conversation of one of the other guests.

My stay as a solo traveler in this hotel was better than expected. Located in a well-preserved old building, the hotel's atmosphere is unique and cozy. The reception and the restaurant have a unique character with amazing details and furnishings. Even if you are not staying in, it is worth stopping by for brunch or dinner. The staff was also amazing, with a very welcoming attitude and always checking for any requests. I will definitely consider staying in this property again.

I don't have any complaints about the property. The location is great overall, as it is close to public transportation and within walking distance (10-15 min) of Pioneers Square, but there are not many places for food or groceries nearby.

The property is centrally located in the downtown area. It is a gorgeous hotel with pictures of old movies and quite elegant. For the price it was quite reasonable. However, the sofa bed was terrible. The lady at the desk told me they were in the process of replacing them. Coffee maker and miniature refrigerator/little freezer included ,wish they would’ve had a microwave. The parking was $75 a night, which is shocking to me, especially because it’s not patrolled.

As above…The staff were wonderful. I did not find the bar food particularly appetizing. Did not have the opportunity to eat at the restaurant because it closes fairly early. The worst things for me were the sleeper sofa, the price of storing your unsecured vehicle, no microwave… I do have to say that I would stay there again, but I would make sure I didn’t bring a vehicle and be aware that the refrigerator is small and there is a microwave. But I would only do this once the sleeper sofa is changed out with a new one. again the hotel is quite elegant and the room was a one bedroom went to sleeper sofa, which for the price was quite nice.

Fabulous old art deco style building and decor. appreciated the $15 discount each day at the restaurant. Staff were kind and helped with a special request (which I paid for). Easy to find street parking. Really kind and personable staff. The other hotel guests were also a friendly bunch.

The ridiculous charge for the neighboring parking lot. Can park for a 1/4 the price in other lots, and free overnight on the street. Coffee not provided in every room. A few repairs needed. Strangely hung curtains. Feels like they are saving money on staff and scrimping on customer service (like no operator call to front desk--you have to use your personal phone). BUT the staff were warm and hospitable to a person! the nearby neighborhood isn't as close to highlights as I woudl have preferred. need to be okay walking a few blocks, and I wouldn't recommend doing that often as a woman at night.

The hotel and room was beautiful. The bed was perfect and there was very little steet noise.

I really did not like that there was no transparency about the $50 hold on my card before booking or even after. I have only seen that done in the most sketchy locations. It also gives the impression that they assume you are going to trash the room. Instead of getting to the room and relaxing, we felt pressure to check the room for damage and document it so that we wouldnt get blamed and charged later. We were also given inaccurate information about parking. We were told that the street parking was only free from 7pm to 7am. This isn't accurate and felt like it could have been an attempt to get us to pay for the very expensive hotel parking. There was also no temperature adjustment in the shower.

Location is fabulous, near the Pearl District, close to the tram to the airport and to Washington Park. Rooms are small but very comfortable and we had a great view from the 7th floor over Portland. The restaurant is outstanding and I think this might be the best breakfast in town, incredible quality!

In the room there was only one chair so the second person had to sit on the bed. There is a nice small bar cart, which we did not use and I would have preferred to have a second chair or even a small stool. The restaurant is absolutely great and one of the main reasons why we choose the hotel, but we did not consider that it was Easter weekend and there was only room at 7:45am for breakfast on Easter Sunday. Our bad not to check about it, but it would have been nice to be reminded that hotel guests have to reserve just like anyone else (I am used to European hotels where the restaurant is open for breakfast mostly for the hotel guests and did not think of it).

Vintage style of hotel was beautiful, especially the intricate carved ceilings, skylights. The art Deco inspired glass front door was amazing. Very classy. Rooms were immaculate, very clean. Also liked that there was tub & shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The confusion about the parking. The Hotel Deluxe website clearly says the hotel offers complimentary parking ($40 value) in the lot across the street..but when I called to reserve a spot and also at check in I was told No, there is no complimentary parking. No apologies, no explanations. Just no, you don't get that. Why put a statement like that on your website? Why confuse people and lead them on with false info? Fortunately for us there was street parking ( free at night, pay by day).

The hotel was in a nice, central location. Walking distance to everything we needed. Great for walking to the stadium.

The parking was a little sketchy. While nothing was stolen from our car, and it in a parking structure, we did see hand and face prints on our vehicle in the morning. So, someone definitely tried to see if we left anything in the car (we didn’t, thankfully).

I liked the overall decor of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a noisy neighbor yelling in the middle of the night and the staff member addressed it immediately.

The room was quite small, if you don’t need a lot of space then it wouldn’t be an issue. The parking garage is next door and the access door was locked my whole stay. While the overall noise level was okay, the walls were thin and could hear the room next to us when they were noisy.
