I visited my daughter for her birthday. We were upgraded to a King Suite which was truly special and greatly appreciated. The facility and staff exceeded my expectations -- friendly, attentive, completely aware of guests. The bed was extremely comfortable. Great location. The bellman kept our bags after checkout while we went to lunch and he recognized us as soon as we returned, greeted us by name and collected our bags quickly -- so nice! I look forward to staying at the Sofitel Rittenhouse on my next trip 'home' to Philly.

The valet working Saturday mid-day, 2/8/25, was aggressive and rude. He laid on the horn, blew it repeatedly and made hand gestures for us to get out of his way, WHICH WE WERE ALREADY DOING. The valet loop is tight and in the middle of the city. Get a traffic director or get a new valet. His behavior was totally unnecessary and in complete contradiction to the wonderful experience we had inside the hotel.

Location and room size.

When checking out there was an issue with my $25 room credit. I had not used it. Told I could use it during lunch in bar, then they would deduct from total. Bar closed tab then said I had to go to desk to get it charged to room so they could deduct. System wasn’t responding so I was told once it comes back up we’ll be sure to credit it. Could not produce a printout or receipt for my stay. Well, that credit never happened. In fact my total bill was $48 dollars more than expected for my stay. Tried to resolve after the fact but no help from CC company. Be careful with this property

Everything about the stay was excellent. The newly renovated lobby and Bar was so welcoming and just sitting down and having drinks and people watch outside the magnificent windows was nice. The rooms and staff were perfect as well.

I think the bathrooms in the rooms are due for renovation. The rooms themselves are really nice, but I think that the bathrooms can use a facelift. They just seem too traditional for me. I would like a more contemporary upgraded bathroom. That’s the only thing I would say needs to be done.

Valet the next day was crazy. Managment should definitely come up with a better system. The poor valet manager was really trying to help everyone but he could only do so much. Everyone was coming at him hostile in every direction. The system should be well organized since there is not alot of room to park. Cars that are brought to the front and owners that are not ready should know their car will be returned and they will have to re-text and get back in line. A few cars were there for over an hour and the owners were not ready. Taking up the valet area. Something should be done and The manager definitely needs more support from management.

Good location, clean

We were charged 46 dollars from the bar saying it was lunch on our first day of arrival, which makes no sense as we got to the hotel around 5 pm the first day. I’ve had no response from the hotel yet. The last day we ordered dinner and waited for more than an hour for it. No waiter would ask us if we needed anything and apparently the forgot to pass our order which is why they had us waiting for hours..

Awesome stay as usual! Classy , beautiful and comfortable.Ivan is the best as a concierge!!Everyone is very accommodating. Very comfortable mattress and pillows.

Some charging outlets don’t work. Loud noise is heard very late into the night from the hall. Long wait at breakfast where managers should learn time management- there were 6 empty tables and we still had to wait half an hour- why?! Same was at lunch time- took 45 min. To get a sandwich !

Love location, clean, comfortable bed.

Breakfast options have been reduced and the quality of the buffet was not good. Coffee and croissants are still delicious, but that's it. People at front desk provide inconsistent info on room charges causing confusion. Parking fees are ridiculous. Gentlemen at valet, baggage and doorman were fabulous! Kudos to them as they provided great customer service.

There was a young African American man I think his. Name was Timothy, maybe in his 30s a small Afro and glasses I think. He was the first person to meet And greet my family when we pulled up and right from his introduction I could tell I would like this place and picked the right hotel. He was very friendly and great with my small son, he was patient and very accommodating and knowledgeable and being as tho I was in town to bury my mother he brightened our trip. He deserves a raise. Keep him on your staff.

Not much except trying to give my truck to the velvet, just the city traffic down there made it hard to find a place to safely park to get the family out and bags to give the car over. But guess that just comes with the great downtown location.

Almost everything was perfect

I requested late checkout. They refused unless I signed up for some club, but the link they gave me didn't work. And they locked me out of my room when I wasn't out on time (because I literally had a meeting then). The correct answer to a request for late checkout to someone who spends $500 a night is 'Yes.' End of story. Please fix this stupid policy or I won't be back. Thanks, Judah

The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect for waking to local restaurants, shopping and nearby activities.

I actually preferred the setup of the bar area prior to the new renovation. It was more private and intimate. It wouldn't effect me staying at the hotel as there are plenty of bars/restaurants to walk to, I just didn't love the new setup.
